My 2 friends and I stayed for 3 nights and found Puerta Azul to be quirky and charming. The staff was wonderful and very helpful. The location was close to the market area and we could walk everywhere. The rooms really vary in size, layout and decor. Breakfast was good every day. Bring earplugs as the neighborhood dogs can be noisy at night.

Great breakfast, staff was very helpful. Only thing I could suggest is some fabric softener for the towels. They were as rough as sandpaper.

We had a lovely time, it is a clean pretty and quiet hotel, nice breakfast. Good air conditioning in the room. We got a taxis to the top of the Medina and walked back down. A very pretty town to visit.

Great place to stay in Chefchaoun. It is very close to Medina, which is an uphill walk, but nice to get away from the noise. This place is very clean has a big room, great breakfast and friendly staff. Would recommend this place.

Good "modern" hotel. Very good WiFi. Very good location for exploring the town. The hotel is located at the base of the town. The medina is an easy 10 minute walk. Very convenient location if you're getting dropped off by a taxi or some such (no need to carry your bags through the souk) Friendly / helpful staff Only complaint is that the towels are overly starched.

Very cute hotel! the staff was very accommodating and even gave us free treats when we wanted to play cards in the lobby. Everything is blue except the walls of the rooms. The pictures show blue walls, but they are white. Highly recommend

The property is easy access you can drive right up to it. Inside is gorgeous everywhere you look is tiled and painted beautifully. Air-conditioning in all rooms works amazing. Beds are comfortable. Not too many stairs to the upstairs rooms. Great breakfast. While staff is VERY hospitable!! I would come back just for the hotel.

It is a wonderful place. Aziz showed us the warmest welcome and stayed our most useful guide over the duration of our stay giving us a good advice of where to go and what to do.

We visited Puerta Azul in Nov 2021. We mainly chose this location because of the access to parking. Which as we had a rental car was very easy to park as this location is outside the medina. We were warmly welcomed by Aziz who was very friendly and accommodating. We were offered tea and had a moment to relax after a long drive. Aziz allowed us to select our choice of three rooms which were available. All of which were very large and included a refrigerator. We only stayed in Chefchouen for one evening but Aziz was very helpful in sitting down and providing detailed recommendation on the sites of the city. He even quickly assisted us with getting a taxi so we wouldn’t miss the sunset over the Spanish Mosque. He walked with us back to the hotel when we ran into him in the medina later in the evening. Puerta Azul is located a bit outside the medina so there is a fair amount of walking up hills to the Kasbah and the gates. All of which is walkable and fairly easy to navigate and get a bit of exercise. The room we selected was on the fourth floor so there was a fair number of stairs which fortunately was not an issue for us. The location of the hotel is outside the medina and in the evening, you do hear the sounds of the city (i.e. dog barking, cars honking, people talking, etc.). We did not utilize the shower but the restroom was adequate. The bed was on the firm side. Breakfast was tasty – the highlight is the fresh squeezed orange juice.

Amazing hotel located at the base of the city, which is convenient and easy to reach. The service, room, and food were exceptional.

Aziz the receptionist was very greatest, very helpful and gave us a suite upgrade. Also the breakfast staff were so nice and friendly. Clean place very cozy. Would definitely go back

Staff were extremely friendly, we received good info about the surrounding area upon arrival. Hotel room had a fridge and sink and small electric portable stove with a hood. Floor was bare naked. Room was slightly themed but different from the posted pictures. Good standard 3 stars hotel for such small city. Breakfast was decent. Parking was straight forward, we parked right by front gate free of charge.
