This is an excellent hotel that covered all the basics. My only negative comment is about the coffee served with the breakfast-included stay, which was weak and not very good. There was an extra charge for coffee with the expresso machine.

Clean, comfortable, nice bed

Worst night sleep in my life. Hotel doesn’t have air conditioning, and the people party till 2 am so having your windows open make for a very unpleasant night. Room was very bare bones, no coffee maker/Nespresso maker inside. Bathroom amenities lacked anything special, didn’t have room on vanity to do hair/makeup. Beds were uncomfortable.

Our room was upgraded to a family room which included three beds and access to the terrace. It's next to the town center, visitors center, supermarket, shops and restaurants.

Nice classic architecture with a modern interior. The room was very clean, small, but it fit my needs. And they had a very nice view, and a well prepared breakfast.

Property location is perfect. Hotel staff very nice just wish that breakfast was a bit nicer so that we could eat at the hotel but there are café all around that you can just walk within a few minutes.

Great little hotel in the heart of Chamonix centre. Could not be closer for all the town has to offer. Newly re-furbished too. Highly recommend.

My friend and h stayed here for a long weekend, the staff were really friendly and the rooms were cleaned daily. They gave a nice bar area where you can have a coffee or some wine! Overall we had the best stay and highly recommend

Really nice hotel, very clean. Small but all you need for a few days in the mountains. Staff were super helpful and friendly.

Ideal for our short ski break. Lovely little hotel one minute walk from the main bars and restaurants and three minute walk to the ski-bus stop to reach all the mountains. We has three lovely women who greeted us on Saturday morning, as we arrived late (door code and keys provided) and didn’t see anyone at check-in, they couldn’t have been more helpful. They organised our ski passes so we could collect our ski hire and not waste time queuing for passes, along with helping in several other small areas. Would definitely stay here again, if only for location and the wonderful staff.

Really splendid place. For the price, I'm not sure you could do better in the city center. I extended a work trip and booked a room as a solo traveler to ski. This hotel is less than 1 minute walk to the main shopping and dining district, 3-4 minute walk to the bus stop for ski connections, and perhaps 7 minutes walk to the train depot. I booked a Superior Double room and there was plenty of room, quite a comfortable bed, a well kept washroom, and great views of the Alps / town. And of course, the staff was very helpful throughout, even when I was delayed getting checked out due to some bus schedules. Highly recommended.

Nice clean hotel with great views of the Mt Blanc from multiple windows

Great staff, fruendly helpful and willing to talk with you. Location was amazing, at the center of town clise to everythibg. Be warned if you are there for rhe big trail running races in the first part of September that the finish line is very close. There will be cheering all night as tge runners cone in. Would definitely stay again (would pick another time frame as while amazing to see it was a busy weekend!)

What a fantastic find this hotel was! Perfect location- easy walking distance to so many activities. Just off the main shopping street and therefore close to many restaurants and bars too. The hotel staff were excellent and very helpful / knowledgeable about the area. A wonderful view of Mont Blanc and just a 15min walk to the cable car to take you up the mountain. We were thankful for the parking. The beds are very comfortable, the children loved the bunk beds! It was a shame there is no air conditioning or a fan, it was very hot while we were there. Especially with 4 of us in the room. However we had such a great stay in this hotel, we would have liked to stay longer - maybe next time!

This is a perfect place to stay if you visit Charmonix. The hotel is close to everywhere. It is located right in the heart of town. The services is great. Everyone treats you very well. I even arrived super early, around 10am, they allowed me to check it because they had the room ready. Other hotels never do that.

La Verticale is an excellent small hotel right off the main shopping street in Chamonix. It is recently renovated and everything is new and sparking. The English speaking front desk staff were very helpful. Great breakfast - not included.

Rooms clean and cute, but no AC or even a fan. Very hot and our room was on the ground floor so having the window open people walking outside could literally reach into our room. Also very loud outside. Great service at front desk

The property is very well located, close to everything. The rooms are rather small, but okay with a nice terrace with view of Mont Blanc

This hotel has the best value in Chamonix. It is located right in the town center, yet quietly tucked in a quiet street, the room has an amazing unobstructed views of Mont Blanc and the clusters of Mountain View (unlike most other hotels, the views were blocked by other buildings and construction sites)… the hotel room is very clean and the bed is comfortable for the standard room. It is 3 - 5 minutes walk to bus stops and cable car lift station. The hotel staff were amazingly helpful. Especially Florin who helped me check in and Augustina who told me the wonderful hiking route to Lac Blanc on my first day ! There is no other hotel in Chamonix has better combination in terms of location, price, view, room comfort and the most amazing staff members! I will definitely stay here again for all my future visits in Chamonix! Thank you again Florin and Augustina !

I had a late check-in that I did anticipate. From hotel door I called the number that was posted and was immediately given instruction for self check-in which saved the day! Room was very nice and clean and host was very helpful. Location is great. Train station, restaurants and Aiguille du Midi, all within walking distance.

Perfect location in the center of Chamonix!

The staff here were really friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a great location and close to many shops and restaurants. The lobby and room were clean and had everything that we needed. I'd definitely stay here again in the future given the staff, location and the price.

Fantastic location. Beautiful hotel. We had a small room with a balcony looking towards Mt Blanc. It was magical! Highly recommended.

I really enjoyed my stay here. It doesn’t look like much from the outside (the front yard could do with some beautification) but really nice rooms with amazing views. One of the receptionists, Michel, was very kind and helpful. It would have been nice to have teas and coffees in the room but otherwise, great hotel.
