We had a great stay at Tavares Inn. Debby has taken perfect care of us. A wonderful breakfast and even coffee and orange juice delivered to the room every morning. And great dogs keeping us company

Tavares Inn is excellent! We loved the location,(very near White Sands National Park). Deb was a great hostess and breakfast was one of the best we ever had( we even got to go boxes to take our leftovers and the mighty delicious blueberry muffin)! The indoor pool was marvelous and refreshing! An amazing place to stay! Bed was very comfortable as well!

Great stay!!

A great place with a family feel, which is what you would expect from an expertly run B&B by an experienced couple. Very friendly, great breakfast, pool table, drinks available by donation. Fruit and coffee delivered by the hostess, Debs, to your bedroom door in the morning. Friendly and happy rescued dogs greet you at the door. Rescued cats available for petting by cat lovers. A funny talking parrot on the veranda, goats in the yard. Toboggans available for free if you want to sled in the White Sands National Park (spoiler: sand is not as fast as packed snow). A short drive from a touristy strip with restaurants. Overall, a great place to experience rural New Mexico and its genuine hospitality. Highly recommended!

Enjoyed our stay at the bed and breakfast. The owners were very kind and spoiled us with a delicious breakfast and fresh fruit and tea delivered to our room. I wish we had more time to stay there as we would have enjoyed a swim. The pets were super friendly too.

What wasn't unique or to like about this property?! The hosts were friendly, attentive, and very knowledgeable about the area. The property is lovely with plenty of animals to interact with. We enjoyed the indoor pool and the breakfast service was top notch!

The address was incorrect, the given phone number did not answer—the only such "hotel" in our 11-hotel roundtrip, 10 of which reserved with Expedia. Even the neighbors at the address given did not know anything about the place; we had to spend the night at another motel. It was very inconvenient communicating with our European cell phones and phone numbers, and at the top of all that, we have lost the money for one night not spent—what a bummer (or much worse)!

We have never stayed anywhere with such an elegant yet friendly atmosphere. The hosts anticipated our every need and treated us like royalty.

Bob and Debbie are the best host and hostess that I have encountered during travel. They are very friendly and helpful. The inn is in a quite area, yet very central to the town. The breakfast is very delicious, and the portion is huge, I feel like it lasts me for a whole day ! We will definitely come back again!

Awesome place and very awesome host. Beautiful location with the mountains in the backdrop and a beautiful home and grounds. The hosts are very friendly and made us fell like family. Excellent accommodations and very personal service (this is far more a B&B than an Inn, at least as far as I think of each) -- fantastic breakfast, quiet location, very personable hosts and a clean and comfortable stay at a very reasonable price. Would definitely recommend for those visiting White Sands -- beats a chain hotel any day.

This is an in-home B&B. A large home set up well for hosting guests in 3 spare rooms. Very clean. The hosts were lovely people and the breakfast was enormous and fresh. They have a menagerie of pets, so if your sensitive, this might not be the place for you. Also be aware that it’s off the beaten path, so if you arrive after dark, like we did, it’s hard to find. No sign.

This property was amazingly beautiful. Debb was the best host! I cannot say enough about this place, from the beautiful room, to the property, to the big breakfast with dessert included! We will definitely stay here again!

wonderful service & food

The place is located at quite and peaceful area and itself is beautiful and well-maintained. Debs and Bob are wonderful hosts, providing the best comfort and relax. If you are pet lover, you will meet lovely ad friendly dogs, cats, parrot and more. Alamogordo is always our first place to visit and now we have the place where we want to stay with no doubt.

We had the best stay at Taveres Inn. The room was comfortable and extremely clean. The owners were so nice and accomodating. We really enjoyed our stay and can't wait to go back!

A most wonderful stay at this beautiful and homey B&B. We considered it an oasis after two long driving days from Indiana. Debbie has thought of everything a weary traveler could possibly need for a comfortable stay. Pet friendly doesn’t begin to describe Debbie and Bob as they welcome guests with pets to join their large menagerie of rescued animals. My husband and I would not hesitate to recommend Tavares Inn to anyone.

The property and host, both were amazing. There are a lot of things to do at the inn itself and the breakfast you're served with just makes your stay. Highly recommend staying here.

A fabulous place to stay. The hosts were excellent, the food was amazing, the room was quiet and comfortable. Even the animals were friendly.

This was the closest we have ever seen to a European B&B - very nice room, wonderful-friendly-open people, spectacular and hearty breakfast. It is also very close to White Sands and but 10 minutes away from the one really good restaurant. This is a hidden gem and not to be missed!

Very homey, quiet. Enjoyed the animals.

My overnight stay was excellent. The location is a bit tricky, however, once there you feel at home. The owner could not have been more friendly and her breakfast was outstanding. They have a large property with dogs who are friendly.

Best breakfast you'll ever get!

This was the only B&B we stayed at during our 6 week Cross Country trip. The owner was so welcoming and provided many extras....such as an amazing breakfast. Lots of amenities such as heated, indoor pool, billiard table. Also, lots of snacks, drink selections and more. Our 1 night stay was very enjoyable.
