The hotel was very convenient for trams to Ulm University and to the Airport. The room suited my needs very well. The breakfast was good. It might have been nice if the bar were open at all. But all in all a very nice hotel

Lovely hotel, with spacious and very comfortable rooms, only a bit small bathrooms and carpet to be removed( but I have noticed in other rooms carpet may not occur). Very good quality of beds.Gorgeous breakfast room, staff very kind and helpful. Centre town within 3 minutes walk, elegant restaurants and boutique nearby. Garage available. It has been a very pleasent stay.

Good location, short walk to the city and railway station.

The hotel is on one of the town squares in the middle of the city. Recommend reserving parking, which comprises a couple of spots in the parking lot behind the hotel. Access to the hotel is often only from the back entrance. The staff were exceptionally friendly! The hotel could probably use a renovation. The wall paper in the room was peeling, but otherwise the room hotel was nice. No elevator available.

The hotel seems like it was really nice 20 years ago. The carpet in the room was really worn and with permanent damages. The sink in the bathroom cracked (but not leaking), the shower minimal. Overall budget-feeling, with a fitting price. I can take all of that. But, more seriously, the room did not have a black-out curtain, and my window was placed next to a lit corridor of the hotel, making the room bathing in strong light the whole night. The room did not have an AC so the heat was strong and I could not have the window open as there were drunk laughter from the backyard where other guests had a party. It was not nice. Spent half the night awake sweating. Gotta say breakfast was great tho, and the location is a good one.

Great location and value. Underground garage (elevator!). Breakfast buffet was fine but former restaurant/cafe/bar not yet operating again (vending machine). Shortcomings: cramped shower; cable TV service not functioning when we were there. General complaint wherever we've been: showers for non-handicapped rooms need hand-holds!

Nice hotel, slightly dated interior but very clean

The Centro Hotel Stern is a great value in a great location, not far from the Ulm Munster Church and plaza. Many restaurants nearby. My room showed wear, but was clean and had everything I needed, thus it was a great value. The breakfast was exceptional, well worth the extra fee. I was also able to park my car underground for an extra fee. Staff was helpful. Very happy with my stay.

I was in a single room so it was small, but cozy, could hear a lot of outside noise as I was on the second floor. Breakfast was pretty good, had hot and cold food, the restaurant served dinner as well, but I personally wasn't impressed with the menu. The location was good, just a 5 minute walk from the train station and close to the city center for easy access to shopping and other restaurants. Overall, a good stay, not sure if I would stay there again or try another place.

Wifi was too poor and I was also not having a sim card. The hotel staff was very cooperative and only because of there help I was able to find and register the sim card.Whenever you plan to visit ulm, dont go without a working sim-card having internet

This is the second time, I stayed at this hotel. Centro Hotel Stern has two properties: the original Hotel Stern, and the new Centro Boutique 005. During both stays, the staff was friendly, and the breakfast superb for my taste. Both times we stayed in the Centro Hotel Stern house.The first time, I had a single room with a little balcony which was clean and alright for the price. The second time, we had a family room. The beds were alright and clean. The carpet desperately needed a cleaning. The toilet (separate from the sinks and shower) had a weird smell when the ventilation wasnt running. The windows were noise insulated, but we had to keep them open because of the heat. There happened to be an overnight road construction at the nearby intersection. The shutters were either missing or broken, and the curtains not light blocking, so there was a constant room illumination from the street lights. We survived the two nights, but it wasnt a good night sleep.That said, I booked now in the new Boutique 005 house, because I really like the breakfast (and the restaurant has tasty German food for lunch and dinner).

Perfect for a weekend. Excellent breakfast. Restaurant Bavarian style.

I stayed only a night in a standard single room but was more than satisfied. Great location, friendly competent staff as well as a very good breakfast which was included in the price. Recommended.
