We had a great stay at The Old Fleece. The apartment is spacious with everything you require and fairly priced for 2 bedrooms.
The living area was a great space for relaxing in the evening as we put our 2 year old to sleep in the bedroom.
The pub downstairs served us great food and we could even take pints back up to our room to watch the football.

The main road is noisy until the traffic dies down later on in the evening. The metal framed windows, even when shut, let through a high volume of road traffic noise. It was a period of unusually high temperatures by day and night when we stayed and the room we stayed in was in the loft space and therefore really warm and so the windows had to be kept open most of the time. This is by no means a complaint merely a note for other people who stay in the loft apartment who may not be as comfortable with a very warm internal environment as we were.

Huge loft apartment nicely decorated and good facilities to use. As it’s a 200+ year old building the stairs are steep so probably not right for someone with unsure footing.
Great spot, just above a nice pub with very friendly and helpful staff on hand.

Apartment was spotless and well stocked for an overnight.
Road was a little noisy, but the property was convenient and has an EV charger :-)

With restaurants closed during the lockdown, I needed somewhere to stay for work with kitchen facilities rather than just a room. This place was perfect! Great place to stay with one huuuuuge bedroom and one normal sized bedroom, bathroom and kitchen/lounge area. I will look forward to returning when the pub downstairs is back open so I can enjoy this place again.

We have had a nice stay at the Old fleece. The apartment is just above the pub, but you won't hear any noise from it. The apartment is large and well equipped, eg dishwasher, microwave, oven, large screen with Netflix. Unfortunately it's hard to heat the room because there is just a small heating and as it's an old building cold air and noise find their way through the (window)frames.
