An amazing boutique hotel in a quiet part of Portland but still very close to everywhere (waking distance).
A super-friendly and informative ’inn-keeper’ met us and gave us some great recommendations as well as providing an excellent cooked breakfast the next morning.

We stayed for a get a way weekend . Breakfast each morning was wonderful. Plenty of parking right in front of inn . We walked all over town. It was the weekend of the eclipse and we did not have glasses but Milan so graciously gave us extras he had . Wonderful host

Milan’s breakfasts were the highlight of our stay at this quaint spot within walking distance from all that Portland has to offer. Our room #6 was clean, quiet, and was on the top floor of what seemed to be a converted 1 family house. We would stay at this property again.

The breakfast was delicious, and we loved the wine dispenser feature in the entrance hallway. Our room was at the very top, and it had a window AC unit so we really didn't have a view of any sort. Also, the toiletries were very bare minimum, and no bathrobes or slippers or anything like that. Also, the tv was pretty small and the remote would only work in a certain angle. The room didn't seem nice enough to justify the price, but the inn itself, the location, safety, and the breakfast were all top notch.

We are in LOVE with the West End Inn. We arrived hours early after a long over night flight and were welcomed to check in early. We so appreciated this flexibility. The ambiance is artfully charming and impeccably clean with nice amenities like a self-serve wine system. Our host was warm and friendly and offered great site-seeing and meal suggestions for us out-of-towners. Our excellent experience at the West End Inn set the perfect tone for our wonderful Portland experience!

Bed squeaked every time I moved. I think it had something to do with the slats supporting the mattress. In any case, there is no excuse for that in a room which was very high-priced. Plus, we had only a tiny bar of soap for the shower. But.breakfast was very good, staff was friendly and we enjoyed walking in the neighborhood.

It was a fantastic stay. This was our first time in Maine and Steven the owner was great at giving us great restaurant and activity suggestions. The location, rooms were great. . They served hot breakfasts with a choice of sweet and savory every day. They were always really tasty. Definitely plan to come back.
