Stay was great. Only issue was the air conditioning not going cold and it was hard to sleep.

Clean and modern ambience. I like the area but the road in front is a busy highway. Other than that, I cannot fault Holiday Inn South banks.

A very pleasant one night stay and would visit again. The only downside was we intended to have an evening meal in the restaurant (as advertised) but found that this was not available. Having said that a very enjoyable stay

Staff were friendly, location was great everything is walkable, easy parking available at hotel, rooms were quiet and well equipped, and hotel was well maintained and cleaned well throughout. Breakfast included is nice but selection is basic but everything you need. Would stay again.

Front Desk rude and dismissive

View from our window was a bit displeasing otherwise the room was very comfortable.

I have stayed here a few times and have normally loved it. Not sure if they have had a change of staff but their service was really poor. Front desk staff were really not friendly. House keeping didn’t clean our room, they just pulled out bedding up and took our towels and left us with none. Had to go to the front desk to get more as they would not bring us up any. There was one guy collecting dishes from the breakfast who was very nice.

We had a great stay at Holiday Inn Express Southbank. Our room was very comfortable and the breakfast buffet was great. Walking distance to Southbank restaurants, entertainment and Flinders Street train station. We will stay again soon.

Clean & convenient, will stay again

Accommodation just as we booked it online, friendly and helpful staff. Beds were comfortable, and it was quiet. Booked this online, thought the parking was included in the price, it wasn't. Parking available for $35 p/n Would stay there again.

We love staying at Holiday Inn Express, Southbank. Whenever we come to the city for the night we stay here. It's clean, safe, great staff, the facilities are well looked after and the buffet breaky is always a winner!

The Holiday Inn Express Southbank is a modern, fresh, clean hotel well situated right behind the National Gallery of Victoria and Arts Centre for those seeing a concert or play. Moreover, it is right behind the Southbank promenade of shops, bars and restaurants and only another few minutes stroll from there into the city. It is particularly convenient for people driving into Melbourne with easy and fast access both into and out of the city. The only single drawback from our stay was, on entering the bar area for a drink, every single table was filled with empty glasses and rubbish which had not been cleared away - even though there were only two tables with people sitting having a drink on a very quiet Saturday evening. An otherwise excellent hotel was let down by either insufficient staffing or some very uninterested and or lazy staff rostered on that night. That aside, I would certainly recommend this hotel.

Perfect location and easy accessible

A group travelling with 4 separate rooms, pleased we were all located on the same floor. Rooms were clean. A couple front of house staff need a little extra experience to have better empathy towards staff training as we all need to start somewhere, as well have more understanding to guess needs. Will recommend this place, would stay again. Thank you

Excellent central location and great value accommodation gif the price. Very clean, well equipped and functional room; I like the minimalism and how the hanging rail and shelf area for suitcase are tucked away from the rest of the room by the door and not in view! Very comfortable bed with choice of firm or soft pillows, and really good blockout blind so the room was very dark for sleep. Good breakfast included. This hotel is staffed by very helpful friendly staff; nothing a problem for them including looking after luggage before check in and after checking out, plus changed my room type with no fuss. Thoroughly recommend ⭐️

It was just enough for a short stay in the city. I wish there is a room for a family or accomodation for a family. Overall it was an awesome experience.
