Great location, very convenient.

This is my regular hotel in tokyo. I always come back here because of the professional and friendly staff and the location.

Located right in the station and surprisingly quiet. Although the rooms are tiny, they are clean and comfortable.

Excellent transport inside station. Sink in bedroom - slightly weird for us. Staff are polite and helpful when we see them, can borrow ironing board and umbrellas. English of the youngest staff isn’t great when trying to borrow the ironing board, but we manage in the end. Check in and out is automatic at counter, though staff is available to help if you run into trouble. Very clean facilities and room, hotel looks new. Nowhere to comfortably sit in hotel lobby really. But good free amenities and coffee tea.

We emailed the hotel days before our stay to offer to pay to check in early as our flight was landing 7am. We received no reply. We arrived at the hotel at 10am and they would not allow us to check in even though the room hadnt been occupied the night prior. The staff was totally inflexible and could not think outside of their standard operating procedure. After being persistent all of a sudden the room WAS made available so it just shows it was available all along but the staff dont have the commercial awareness to understand this was a revenue opportunity, and an opportunity to satisfy their guests needs. The hospitality at this hotel was extemely poor on the staff's behalf. They need better training and a positive mindset instead of just sticking to the mentality of sticking strictly to their rules. The room and location was fine but this inability to sympathise with people who'd been travelling 20 hours left a bitter taste in our mouths.

Super easy to get Yamanote line and Asakusa line Gotanda station. The station is not that crowded one but directly connected to hotel. So I would say it was in perfect location. Well furnished room, especially Dyson's hair dryer, fan, TV and tiny massage machine were helpful. Liked check-in and out and housekeeing system. Staff were kinds

Hotel can connect to both subway and JR line, very conveniently located and there's decent amount of food options nearby too. Very friendly staff who helped checkin eventhough they are using a new self service system where you interact with their touch TV and a staffmember on their ipad will talk to you through it. They also helped store our luggage for us after we checked out, ill definitely come back to stay here again.

Right on the Gotanda Station. Surprisingly very quiet rooms. I thought the mattress was comfortable and the room was very clean. Staff was friendly.

This was the PERFECT place to stay our first night in Tokyo. The access to the Yamanote Line can’t be beat (it’s literally ABOVE the train station), we got some quick shopping in at Uniqlo (which is on one of the floors above reception), quiet room, and we could get out and going so easily the next morning from Shinjuku. And honestly, the toilets were such a luxury even by Japanese standards! Ha ha Would highly recommend and stay here again!

This is my 3rd time to book this hotel. Staffs are nice and helpful. I requested for a upper floor and they will try their best to do so. Although the room is much smaller than those previous stays, it's still clean and tidy. However, one thing I'd like to mention. I asked the concierge for the possibility to extend my check out time, he didn't check and rejected directly or requested for a pay. I did the same before and they will try to check even though they can't help. He was so mean to me this time and made me disappointed.

Close to supermarkets and restaurants. Free coffee and tea in lobby. Staffs are very nice.too convenient to subway stations.

We had a great stay at JR East Hotel Mets Gotanda. The location was unbeatable, comfort and presentation of our room was excellent and service was wonderful. We used the Restaurant every day of our stay and that was first-class. Our only problem with our room was that the air-conditioning was centrally controlled from somewhere and was far too hot for us. Because there was no small window for fresh air to enter the room, we were very uncomfortable at times. The air purifier was showing 25 degrees whilst the air-conditioner was showing 19 degrees! My go-to hotel when I visit Japan. I like that it is much closer to the train station and it is closer to Shibuya and Shinjuku. The hotel is clean although the rooms are quite small.

The whole hotel was digitalized with self-serviced check in check out, staffs are helpful but do not expect full hotel service like service centre. Experience was good but would be great if you can adjust the position of your shower head - its almost above the edge of your bathtub and i couldnt fix the direction of the water (the shower head holder was loosen?) so during shower i had to step one foot into the bathtub

there was no human at the check in counter. but it was easy to navigate thru the check in process. they have 3 W/D in the building and you can check the availability on TV (shows which one is available to use, which ones are in use for how many minutes left to be done etc...)

It was the great stay. The hotel is at a very convenient location.

Excellent stay!! Exit from station is the hotel entrance, super convenient access to mall and food and uniqlo & other shopping. Just 3 stops away from shibuya, very awesome choice if you want to be near shibuya but also want to have some peace away from the crowd. Highly recommended!!

This is my favourite hotel in JP so far, Although I lost my glasses cloth during the stay. Will come again and stay with Mets again next year.
