Nice and quaint property in a good location. However, other options in the area offer similar experience and location at a much better value.

The bathtub had water standing in it and the water was not clean. Looks like the plug may have dropped before all the water drained. I was pleased with the hotel staff but the Library staff was rude, lied to my face and didn’t treat as I was a guest at the hotel. They set me in the main lobby, never came out to see if I needed anything. Never came out to tell me there were open seats. I walked back in in like 40 minutes and there were several seats open and the girl said they came out to get me but I was gone I never moved an inch. I really was looking forward to getting several drinks but that didn’t happen.

Overall, the stay was great. If I had to pick out anything, it was the fact that the carpets seem dirty in the hallways and a lot of the carpet was coming up in the room.

This is a beautiful hotel in the heart of Knoxville. We were super impressed when we checked in.
However it was impossible to get a good night's sleep in the room we were in (our bedroom was on the corner of the street and market square). Starting 5 or 5:30 service trucks began their work and there was literally no sound insulation in the room. We had gotten in just after midnight and needed the rest - unfortunately with the engines, beeping and honking, that was impossible.

The welcome champagne was a nice touch. The valet retrieved my forgotten phone from my car cheerfully and quickly. All staff were nice and helpful.

Excellent choice for a quick trip to Knoxville. Right on the Market Square. Walking distance to everything. Check in was friendly. The Facility has been updated to contain modern amenities but still retains its sense of history. The restaurant and speak easy and great. It's pricy because of the location, but I was able to get a great deal through Expedia.

Great visit to the Oliver Hotel. Service was terrific. Rooms were very nice. The location was great. We were walking distance to so many great places within the downtown area. Market Square was a simple stroll. We end each night with a night cap at the cozy bar (library). Highly recommend.

Wonderful redone, reimagined old hotel..

We loved staying at this quiet boutique hotel, conveniently located next to the fabulous Market Square. Parking is available around the block in a parking garage. We parked outselves, but valet parking is available for $35 charge. Breakfast is room service only, but there are options on Market Square. The receptionists were very helpful, and our room was large and handsomely appointed.

Love this hotel! The staff are so friendly. The decor is clean and elegant. We had dinner at the Oliver Royale and although pricey, it was worth the money. Try the French 75 with cognac at the speakeasy. Location is central to everything and located on a quiet side street.

This hotel was AMAZING. Gorgeous, the design hit the nail on the hand. Stunning, historic property with modern amenities, it’s comfortable and it’s well located. The library was beautiful, cocktails, service, food, impeccable.
And Chris and the other man running things with Chris were just the absolute best. Above and beyond does not even come close to describing it. I am so grateful to them. They helped me organized a special surprise for my friends who had just won a big competition, they made my night smooth and relaxed when my flight got canceled and I had to reserve another night and check in again. I love them, I love this hotel. Thank you so much Chris, for making my stay special. I appreciate it so much.
