The deluxe room was a clean, spacious room - was great for the four of us. Parking lot and exterior were a little disconcerting as we pulled in, but we had an overall good stay.

Basic room. Nothing special. Deadbolt did not work on room. Room had a refrigerator and nice towels. No breakfast and vending machines are out of order.

I don’t want to be too negative. It’s probably about right for the price. Apparently “under new ownership.” It felt slightly sketchy, unkempt, smelly, outdated. The staff was taking smoke breaks outside our window. It’s the type of place you try not to think too much about touching things, carpet, comforter, furniture, etc.

The staff were friendly enough and our room was clean. There was a coffee pot, microwave and refrigerator in the room which was nice. The dispensers in the room like the shampoo, hand soap, etc. were all empty. Lastly the location isn’t ideal but we were in town for WE Fest and every other hotel in town was ridiculously priced.

The price was great and I had no issues with anything. I have been at a lot of hotels.,Some were more fancier than others but this is the first time I had coffee in my room with a Keurig coffee maker. Fantastic.

Front desk service was excellent, and there was a security person on staff at the front entrance, which was appreciated and provided some sense of security. Ice machine in lobby was great to have on a hot day to fill up coolers and cups@

The property is clean and the rooms are nice. I’ve stayed there twice and there are always sketchy people in the parking lot.

The staff was more interested in smoking out in front than coming in to check people in.
The lobby was messy and dirty.
Surprisingly, the room and beds were clean and comfortable.
We canceled the second night and found a nicer motel.

I was skeptical about this hotel when I booked it mainly due to the price. I figured it could potentially be a dive however I was pleasantly surprised! The lobby and my room were very clean, comfortable bed and friendly service when I checked in.

Seemed short staffed. Person working front desk was also cleaning rooms leaving desk unattended. First room they gave us had not been cleaned yet. Second one did not have shower curtain, but they got us one. We were locked out of our room the second day because room keys didn’t work. Had to go find staff to help because they were cleaning rooms. Pretty sure a couple guests actually lived there, just hanging out in hotel and in the parking lots all days were stayed. Front lobby chair were all ripped, all of them. Staff was nice, hotel was adequate to sleep but no other amenities available.

Extremely comfortable rooms and good amenities. The towels were the softest and fluffiest I’ve ever seen. Enjoyed our stay.

The staff didnt know what they were doing teying to double charge me for my claiming theres no open room when i already paid for a room online and when they did finally get me into a room it was dirty, torn apart, and it was filled with old used mattresses

The hotel was impressively clean. The halls smelled like fresh linens and our room was emaculate. The hotel was quiet inside and in the parking lot. The staff was friendly but there were many men standing in the lobby and just outside the entrance door that did not seem friendly and stared at us as we came and went throughout the weekend. That part was my only complaint as i wasnt sure if their intentions. But, no one bothered us or said anything out of the way either

Not going to lie, when we first pulled up, I was concerned. Security guard and empty parking lot. My worries were quickly set aside. Excellent service, clean and comfortable room. Great value. Would absolutely stay again.

I have been traveling most weekends for five months now and this is the first hotel that had a security guard on staff. It made the hotel feel like it was an unsafe place to stay. Additionally, the first room that I checked into was actually occupied. Another first in all of my travels. I also woke up at 6:00AM to a couple having a domestic dispute in the parking lot.

Everything was great pretty much. Love the jacuzzi tub since my purpose was a 25 km run! Staff was very friendly and let me have a late check out after the race!
The ONLY problem was the bed above my room had the loudest squeaky bed springs ever. Told the staff in the morning and they said they would get on it. All good!
Will definitely stay again next year!

Hotel is very outdated, check in staff was super slow ( check out was perfectly fine) no soap in the bathroom, was charged for a 2 queen bedroom and stayed in a single queen room. Would have been ok if our original room choice was not avail but there was no communication. Luckily this was one night stay. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel

Friendly staff but not helpful. No shower curtain, hand soap or shampoo when I arrived. Tried to call front desk but telephone didn't work as it didn't have a cord. They came with shower curtain but didn't return with soap or phone cord.
Air conditioning was extremely noisy.

The room was clean. Air conditioner worked very well but loud. The bath room looked like it was newly renovated, but often smelled like cigarette smoke through the vent so we ran the vent all day. The room had a strange smell when first walked in but got use to it. There is digital cable but was very glitchy, and often just quit.

The staff were friendly and helpful when available.There were just not enough of them. The person who checked us in also was doing laundry, cleaning rooms and generally doing everything. The room when we entered was smelly. Like an armpit. The beds were clean. When checking the room I found an empty cat food container that was left by a previous occupant. The price was very similar to other hotels in Detroit Lakes and relatives stayed in one and were impressed with the overall condition and service. Probably will never book a room there again.
