the beach is very nice, sunrise and moonrise is spectacular from the beach. Good food and pleasant staff.

$570 for 2 nights. I asked 3 times for a handicap room for my 87 mother. I got her out of the nursing home to spend the weekend in the town she grew up in. I made the request at booking. called the property directly and again during check in I said I needed a handicap room (my mother was is in wheelchair). Got to the room which was the absolute furthest away from the lobby. The ONE and ONLY thing handicap was a six inch bar in the shower that’s 4 feet above the tub. She COULDN’T get her wheelchair through the door. It just a normal small wheelchair. I went out and asked the housekeeper if this was for real, is 127 really a handicap room. She said yes. I made the best of it. Out check out I was asked about my stay and I voiced all this and then she said I had been booked in a handicap but was moved to a regular room at checkin, OMG :-( no wonder. The guy saw my mom in the wheel chair, so really what in the heck???!!! I got a call from the manager 2 days later and said You wanted to talk to me. I said not really but you probably want to talk to me. He spent 18 minutes giving construction excuses and every excuse in the book. I said I really don’t care about his problems but it was kinda a drag being in a non handicapped room with a 87 yr old in a wheelchair chair. He asked what he could do. I said give me a free night stay. He said he couldn’t because he wasn’t at fault. I’m really dumbstruck at this. He said he will credit me $50 from my $570 stay. Whatever, it was all just weird!!!! But it’s a nice place and DL is a blast and the staff (with 2 expectations) we’re absolutely wonderful.

Breakfast is pricey but very good. Service was good.

They were under construction...unfortunate but the staff more than made up for it.

The hotel room was great but the night person was rude, mean and would not help us with a small problem we had. She needs to be fired for the way we were treated! The manager would not even come out to talk to me so I’m scoring it low for that

I loved being on the lake front. The staff was friendly and very helpful.

The noise coming from the bar. The bar patrons were spilling out into the hallway.

The servers all seemed to be in a bad mood, including the bartender. The host had her hair down and still went in the kitchen. Food was cold and expensive.
