Herrschaftliches Feeling ganz jenseits von steriler Hotelatmosphäre. Ein alte, wenig renovierte Villa, aber wenn man sowas mag, mit viel Flair. Tolle Lage mit Blick über die Stadt und doch zentral.

Wenig heimeliger Gemeinschaftsraum auf dem Flur, für die Zubereitung eines Frühstücks kaum nutzbar. Fußböden knarzen, aber ich war allein auf dem Stockwerk und ungestört.

Die Villa Bergruh ist der perfekte und erst noch einmalige Gelegenheit, in Sankt Gallen zu übernachten. Die Villa am Hang ist in einem paradiesischen Garten gelegen. Das sehr schön eingerichtete Zimmer mit bequemem Bett und eingebautem Lavabo bietet alles nötige. Dusche, WC, einfache Küche sind auf dem Gang. Falls notwendig, können Ohrstöpsel gratis bezogen werden, weil das 120-jährige Haus hellhörig ist. Bei mir war es aber schön ruhig und total idyllisch. Die Kommunikation mit Manuel war top.

Das es leider nicht unsere Villa ist, wir würden gerne dort leben. Kommen aber gerne wieder.

La camera era ben pulita come anche il bagno. Ci é stata fornita tutta la biancheria necessaria ( lenzuola e asciugamani), tutto pulito. Nel complesso confortevole. Ottima la location, vicinissimo alla stazione e al centro.

Il vialetto per arrivare alla villa non è per nulla illuminato, abbiamo avuto difficoltà al rientro la sera.

Staying in a 120 year old building which is quite well maintained was an experience. The host really takes very good care of you. The surroundings are full of trees and it seems like living secluded in a forest.

The climb up (if walking from the train station) is painful. Although located very near to the station and marketplace, the climb is a little deterrent.

No private toilet as expected and only one toilet to share on the floor. No hot water - and we had payed extra to upgrade for a bath tub : ( Beware the accomodation is situated on a hill, so its a steep path with your luggage to get there

I really enjoyed my stay at Villa Bergruh, it has all facilities I needed. The location is perfect as it is very close to the university. It is also a great place to feel the astmosphere of St.Gallen.

The private bathroom doesn't have the toilet

Location was suitable for me, I was in a conferens in Open Museum. Sort walk to center of the city, to old town, nice and peaceful location. If you move by walk, you must be in good condition because of location big above of he center. Host was a nice and polite man.

Only thing I missed was privat toilet. But it wasn't really a big problem.

- no zink in the rest room.. - could hear many sounds from other guests (thin walls, noisy floors) - bad wifi that only (barely) worked close to the door, and no range in the bed and at the desk

There was no breakfast included. The room was nice also there was a cozy Livingroom for guests. Which can be used by guests staying in 3 rooms on one floor upstairs.Kitchenette which is nice. With microwave, stove, oven, hot water kettle, coffee maker. Pots, pans, plates, cups etc all provided. Shared shower and toilet. It’s spacious and close to everything!

The walls are very thin. The floors are noisy to walk on. Bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper.

View from the window was absolutely amazing. Location. Old stile building.

Could hear neighbors and old floor mates too much noise.

Perfect location. Very quiet, clean and comfortable room/bed. Very friendly and helpful host.
