Very nice hotel
This is an airport hotel with an airport shuttle BUT you can't leave your car there! So we paid quite a bit for a few hours stay and then had to go pay for parking at the airport in the morning.

Nice room, nice pool, quiet
Lobby was very cold. Need a clothesline in shower for bathing suits. Cold water in bathroom was warm. No eatery within walking distance.

Breakfast was kinda cold-eggs,sausage and roasted potatoes. Kids were running thru the halls and the room above us.
In booking the hotel,I was looking at the Homewood Suites Desmoines west. Somehow , it got switched to the airport hotel and didn’t find that out until I went to check in and they said I wasn’t on their reservation list. They told Us they couldn’t change and we needed to go to the airport hotel. Needless to say- we had to drive 12 miles each way every day to see our kids and grandkids who were all staying at the west Desmoines hotel for softball tournament.It certainly wasn’t the trip we had planned.

Guest were too noisy. in the hallway at 4a talking loud and doors closing.
kids bouncing basketball ball in the breakfast area. We were on the first floor and sounded like elephants walking above us on the second floor.

It has everything you needed like microwave, fridge, silverware etc.I thought the breakfast was good.
The ceiling fan was very noisy and the temperature in the room can only go down at 68 degrees.Also the bed was in front of the toilet and I thought it was very awkward.
