Frau Sydler was very kind. They had a vending machine that dispensed soda and beer. They allowed dogs which was great for us.

When arriving the Sydler's son, who was mid-20s to early 30s, was checking us in and noticeably drunk. He gave us the wrong room (single room only) but contacted his mom and was able to correctly get us a room for 2, as selected on booking.com.

Wonderful location, beautiful little town, a great bakery just around the corner. Great hikes are very close and Salzkammergut's treasures only a short drive away.

The apparment wasn't cleaned very throughly.

A little space for parking, the worst is when someone takes up too much space with a big car and trailer.

The view from our window was fantastic, the mountains are beautiful. The staff were nice, but they can't speak English, only German. The rooms were clean, and well-equipped. But the microwave oven is in the staircase, not in the room, but it wasn't a problem for us. The rooms were spacious. The value for money was ok.

The stairway could be cleaner, not a nice view, and this is the first thing that you see when you enter. Other rooms were clean. I definitely not recommend the breakfast, nothing special, only cold cuts, marmelade, musli and 2 (not fresh) pastries, tea or coffee (not a good one), no eggs or warm dishes. You can buy all these things in every shop in the corner...If you have kitchen in the apartment, it's unnecessary to pay for the breakfast. The beds were very short, my father is about 1,9" meters, the bed was too small for him, the bunk bed was also too small, it's not ok for an adult, only for kids.

The breakfast was lovely and the host was very nice. I had a cosy room with a lovely view of the mountains. The location was nice as it ws about 10mins to the supermarket or train station.

I understand that the rooms need to be kept clean. I would have liked to know in advance that someone came into the room to empty the bins and do the beds. It felt like someone invaded my space.

Pension Sydler is the best value in this area of Austria. The facilities are spotlessly clean and the staff is reliable as well as exceptionally accommodating, e.g., the owner automatically picked me up at the train station and took a lot of time to explain directions to me. For a very reasonably priced room, I even had a balcony. I have been here more than once and the owner and staff are consistently polite and practical!

1. No washing basin in the WC. 2. Bed has the resting part on head side which was coming out of the bed making it uncomfortable and impossible to sit in a resting position. 3. No proper marking on the road and I missed it and 2nd time had to stop to confirm if I am entering the correct path
