This hotel is operated by very welcoming and kind people. Despite the language barrier the staff were very helpful and provided all the explanations. They even agreed to keep my luggage after checking out. It was comfortable and in a great location, walking distance to everything.

A good location being a short walk to train and bus stations, also town centre. Lots of cafes and supermarkets close by. If you are a peregrino/a then the Alvarez is on the exit route, C Independencia, of the Primitivo from Oviedo.

Room and establishment were both very clean and well maintained. Hosts were friendly and helpful. Someone was there to let us in when we arrived. If you have any problem the landlord will quickly arrive to help when you telephone.

Bank card machine did not accept any of our cards. (The only place so far in Spain where this has happened.) Suggest that you take sufficient cash if you can not pay in advance online. It is possible for other guests to lock you out. (Call the landlord if this happens.)

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The rooms was very clean and cleaned daily.

I had a room with a huge window. Great for all occasions except while I was there as it was really hot, so the room was an oven.

Close to the bus/train station and to the city center as well. Early hour of check-in. I arrived earlier even but I could already leave my stuff, and come back later. A table in front of the bad.

Excellent location (a few minute's walk from the train/bus station), lovely and clean. Very helpful and informative staff - more than happy to help with maps and information. Very clean/new bathroom. Actually looks better in person than in the photos.
