A bit dated but overall a nice place. Great location.

Had a great time with family at this house over the 4th of July week. The teens and young adults loved having the lower level to hang out in while us older folk really enjoyed the upper level with its wonderful views of the sound and ocean. Very easy beach access! Another thing to note is we were able to clearly watch the Manteo firewoks from the rear upper deck and the Nags Head display from the fron upper deck. Everyone loved this place and we would return.

The house was clean, close to the beach and shopping but lacked kitchen supplies. Pool was kinda small. Pet friendly but not really as yard not fenced in.

Our family enjoyed every part of this home. Spacious, well maintained and equipped with everything we needed. It is conveniently located and perfect for our family.
We spent the day exploring Nags head and neighboring towns, playing at the beach and enjoying our favorite food.
The pool and hot tub were great for days when we were sticking close to home.
We all agreed that it was hard to leave and that we would definitely be back again.

Overall I would give the location and property a 4+ star. Unfortunately, and likely no fault of the owners, their septic system kept overflowing throughout the week and at least half the days we were greeted with a horrible smell as we came out the front and crossed the driveway to make our way to the beach. It took us a day to realize the septic system was spilling into the driveway and running down the driveway and collecting at the end of the driveway. We promptly called and someone was sent out to temporarily fix the issue to only have it and the smell return before the end of the week.
Again, our feelings about the property and location were overall great, but this certainly detracted from our overall experience.

We had a wonderful week in OBX! The house was very clean, spacious and organized. Plenty of space for 10 of us - (6 adults, 4 children and 2 small dogs). Lots of space to spread out, washer and dryer in house which was very convenient. Pool and jacuzzi was also very nice. Both very clean. Short 3 minute walk to the beach. You do have to walk up stairs and a slight hill to get to the beach - keep in mind when bringing a wagon - which thankfully my husband was able to beast up the hill - would have been a challenge to do on my own. This house is located close to many restaurants, ice cream shops and gift shops all within walking distance! Awesome spot, great stay!!

House was nice and in a good location however could stand to have some updates. Kitchen is not well equipped for a house with 6 bedrooms, didn’t even have a working can opener. Some furniture is in need of replacement and the decks need repair!

We normally stay at Pirate’s Cove during our fall trip to OBX; however, this year decided to try something different. Property nice, views wonderful. Needed the elevator as my mom recently fell and broke ankle, so that was great for our family to have elevator that accommodated her wheelchair. The carpet had several pet “accidents” and under beds was very dusty. My only complaint really is the feeling of too many “fees”. When you rent a pet friendly place you normally pay extra to begin with, then they added fee for pet. Then they leave a list of possible “fees” if certain things aren’t done when you checkout. We have never had these in all our other 20 plus years of staying in Pirate’s Cove. Did love the closeness of the beach though.

House was perfect for our vacation. Close to the beach. Our dog had a great time and plenty of green space for going potty. Elevator was awesome with loading and unload items. Wish the pool had more chairs to sun in. The pavers by the hot tub need fixed. Someone will trip or hurt their ankle.

One of our son’s family could not attend our annual family beach week so we looked for a home with only 6 bedrooms. This home has a large porch on the the 3rd floor with views of the ocean. Also a large kitchen and plenty of seating for large groups. Just across the road and a short walk to a very nice beach. Nice game room on the 1st floor. We enjoyed our stay.

We loved the convenience this property allowed for our multi family vacation. Close to grocery stores, amazing restaurants, iconic sites. And the walk to the beach access was easy for even my 3 year old to do. The pool was a blessing to have on those hot lazy days! Would definitely consider staying here again.

Had a great time! Property had an elevator which made it easy for my husband to negotiate the three levels. Beautiful decks for sunrise and sunset viewing. Hot tub was great but the pool is very small. The biggest negative was upon arrival the refrigerator was not working and we spent the entire week without it working. Manager offered us a cooler and ice which would not meet the needs of the six of us. After several days a refrigerator from the game room was brought up to the kitchen.
We did have to eat out more than we anticipated. All in all we enjoyed our stay and would return.

I could not have asked for a better rental property. This house was spacious well stocked with everything you could imagine views from both sides and so clean. The beds were very comfortable with plenty of blankets. Having a separate bathroom for everyone was so nice. My husband and I also had a blast playing the arcade games (old school). The pool looks nice (closed and too cold so didn’t get to use) but the hot tub was available. I can’t say enough wonderful things about this location. My ONLY disappointing comment was the fireplace wasn’t available. We came down over Thanksgiving and we had some 30 degree mornings and low 40s In The evening and it would have been nice to have that option. But that was the only negative I have. Loved loved loved this house. We will be booking again for the future. And one more thing the customer service was great. Answered my questions and the access to the house was so easy and convenient. A true pleasure.

This property was perfect for our vacation. Everything was beautiful, clean and well maintain. Every room in the house had more than enough space and we had so much fun in the game room. Great view of the beach and everything was in close driving distance. We will definitely be coming back soon.

THis beach house was exactly as advertised. We ate seafood at a different restaurant every day, all very close to us. We could hear the waves, see the ocean and quickly walk to our beach. A bike path was directly across the road. Beautiful house.

This was our first VRBO experience , we will be using it again . The house was advertised ,well stocked kitchen for multiple families. Beach access close by , the view from third floor great room was beautiful for watching sunrise . Our parents are in their 80's with Mom needing a wheelchair the elevator was a god send !!! I have seen reviews.that complain about the pool size but
the size is posted it was fine for us , maybe not if you have several kids . Our 2 dogs where able to do business in the small area behind pool with cleaning up behind them.We will be returning it was perfect for us

The house is spacious and nicely decorated. It has a view of the sound and the ocean. The elevator is SO handy! The beds were comfortable, plus there was a bathroom for each bedroom! The only negative is the pool is not very big, but it served it's purpose.

Nice place across the street from the beach. House was huge with 3 floors so two families could spread out. Beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked. Internet was good so kids could do their school work remotely. Will definitely return!

This house was conveniently located for shopping, restaurants, and beach access. with great views of the ocean and sound. The rooms were spacious and would be great for a large family or group. The pool area was disappointing. The pool was very small for a house of its size. The jets in the hot tub were very weak and the entire pool area really just needs some work in general. We had to request new chairs because the ones there were broken and covered in mildew. We also had to vacuum and mop floors on arrival. They were sticky and dirty. Overall we had a great time and would stay again if the pool area got a facelift.

We had four adult in-law couples plus Mom, and this home fit our needs perfectly. There were a lot of stairs, but the floor plan was very convenient and there was an ELEVATOR - excellent for Mom. The furnishing were nicely appointed and plentiful - beds were very comfortable, and there were plenty of bathrooms! It was chilly during our stay, so we did not try the pool, and we never got around to the hot tub, but both were ready to go and looked clean and inviting. We especially enjoyed the rec room on the bottom floor. Lots of great competitive BILLIARD games, and perhaps an adult beverage or two - great fun had by all! The views front and back were nice and the location was perfect. It was a short walk to the beach and fishing pier, and very convenient to many restaurants and shopping - right accross from the OUTLET MALLS! Since it was early season, there were a couple of small maintenance issues to attend to. I called Leslie's, and they had someone there almost before I could hang up the phone - BEST, FRIENDLIEST, SERVICE I have experienced with rental properties! Great place, great people, great fun - STAY HERE!!

Our stay was originally set up to include more family members than the three of
us, however we still had an amazing stay! The house is perfect! Everything you
could need. The furnishings are perfect. A truly well thought out home. We
didn't know what to enjoy first. The deck facing the ocean is wonderful as well
as the deck in the back of the house has stunning views as well. The beds were
very comfortable. We enjoyed the great view of the storm out on the ocean from
the deck it didn't last long but was a sight to behold. We were there during
bike week but that did not affect us one bit. You couldn't hear a thing out
there from inside the home. The kitchen had everything you could think of. We
had a small glitch on the pool heat but it was addressed promptly and was
surprised how quick someone was there. Leslie the property manager is a delight
and gave great tips on what to see and do during our stay. There is great
dining, shopping and things to do on rainy days. We loved the downstairs game
room and the outdoor amenities. My only down thought is when I realized I don't live
here! We were a family of three and our son slept in nearly every room except
ours and would review each room with delight. Every room has something special
to it and this house is just something special. You can't go wrong here. The
pictures do not depict how warm and inviting and just how big this house is.
Every room was spotless and the kitchen was impeccable! Our favorite eats there
are The Black Pelican right down the road and Owen's you can't go wrong at
either one.
