On the outskirts of Maun, Cresta Maun (not to be confused with Cresta Riley) is a good option if you have a car/van or don't mind using taxis to get around and into the city. A mid-range, pleasant hotel with modern facilities, it has a nice pool, bar and dining area, dine in breakfast buffet and decent rooms. We had one stay in a suite, which was large, especially the bathroom area. The second stay was in a second smaller standard room, which looked as if it had been refurbished. Both were fine. The thing that distinguishes the hotel is it's friendly staff. Although our stay wasn't perfect, the staff always attempted to help us and made every effort to look after us. We felt very lucky to stay there.

Bar staff could do with a little more training, with gin being served instead of vodka etc. The air con units don't work as well as they should. We used ours with our fan, directing the cold air around the room :) We had some delay with check in on the first day, with a late check out somehow scheduled for our room which delayed cleaning. We waited two hours in 38 degrees so it wasn't a great start. But the staff really tried very hard to make sure we were looked after and everything went smoothly after that.

Confirmed our booking twice with them, and confirmed that we will check in late. On arrival no rooms available. 20:00 at night our group had to find alternative accommodation in Maun.

Bad drainage, smell of drains/sewage, inefficient and noisy air con, torn curtains, loud drains and gurgling from shower. Plug sockets hanging out and sparking - seemed dangerous. Very expensive for that experience. Staff were very sweet and tried hard.

Fijn om na meerdere dagen tentsafari weer in een hotelkamer te overnachten. Mooie, veilige locatie. Fijn hotel.

Personeel wat onervaren, eten (buffet) kwaliteit was redelijk, niet alles even warm.

Simpatia do staff, pequenos almoços completos bem como as restantes refeições. Bar simpático no espaço aberto do pátio. Transferes grátis de e para o aeroporto.

Não correspondeu às imagens. A piscina era pequeníssima, as lindas fotos com o rio em pano de fundo não se concretizaram já que o rio estava seco. O quarto era pequeno e havia ruído logo desde cedo.
