Upgraded to a sea view with excellent facilities including hot tub
Everything was lovely
7.0
Lovely location on the seafront. Clean accommodation. Close to the town.
No allocated parking, only two bedrooms when believed it was three booked. The image on the page is not where you stay so slightly misleading.

Excellent location, free parking, lovely views. Will come again.
Few minor issues with broken window blind and couch need some more cushions but easy fixed.
3.0
Location good as close to town and seafront
Description misleading, the hot tub is in the car park next to the waste bins. The bed linen was not clean, on 3 of the beds(dirty marks)

Lovely spacious apartment right in the centre of Aberystwyth. It was very clean. The kitchen was well equipped with all the utensils you could need. I need to clarify the issue of the 3rd bedroom raised in other reviews; Yes, it’s up a flight of stairs but these are within the apartment. There is a door from the main landing into the apartment, the stairs to the 3rd bedroom are then in the little foyer area to the left and the door to the main apartment is infront of you. There’s no way you could miss the 3rd bedroom unless you are blind and we’re given both keys when we checked in. The door from the main landing does not lock, but the doors to bedroom 3 and the main apartment do, so perhaps not a suitable room for young children on their own with parents in the main apartment. My son is 13 and was very happy up there in his own space.
The beds are huge and extremely comfortable; bedroom 1 has a super king size bed and a single, bedroom 2 a super king size and bedroom 3 a superking size.
The hot tub was a lovely bonus (when we remembered we had use of one!) and it is only overlooked by the windows of your own apartment.
Staff were fine, not rude at all, but not particularly attentive either. Just gave me the keys and that was it.
The door from the landing really should be lockable and should also be a fire door.

Lovely building, great location, good amenities
Unhelpful staff, scoulding hot shower in 30°C heat, broken appliances, mouldy bathroom and bedroom cupboard, broken, limescale filled kettle, wasting 7 hours, across 2 days of my holiday waiting for a plumber to show up who never did
5.0
clean, modern and comfortable
This was advertised as a three bedroom apartment but only had two bedrooms meaning two of us had to share a room. On returning the keys at checkout we queried this and were told there was an additional bedroom on another floor of the building (not within the apartment) but we needed to ask for the key. It felt like this was deliberately withheld- this should not be advertised as three bedrooms.

Beautifully furnished, very comfortable. Close to the beach but quiet at night. All round the best accommodation I have experienced in Aber.
Would stay again
Not a problem for us as we were a party of 3, but worth noting that the accommodation is listed on booking.com as a 3 bed flat...its only a 2 bed.
One room had a double bed and the other a double and a single .

The property was poorly maintained. Broken blinds, stained sofa, no hand towels, leaking toilet…

and beds!
receptionist had little or no customer service skills . apartment was swapped from initial booking, tv was broken as was central hearing.

Very spacious, comfortable and spotlessly clean accommodation. I'd admired the building on walking past on previous visits to Aberystwyth and the apartment certainly didn't disappoint. We found the location to be perfect for both visiting SY23 restaurant and also for my early morning stroll to watch the starlings leaving their overnight roost in the pier.
Not a criticism, simply a note for maintenance - the en-suite toilet flush was sticking.

The accommodation is near the beach. The rooms are newly refurbished and there is a car park.
Despite multiple phonecalls and an unanswered booking.com message to confirm, Llys y Dderwen does NOT have disabled access, being on the 1st floor without a lift. We were moved downstairs but had to pay the same for 2 shared bedrooms as the 3 we had booked. The light switch to the living room didn't work, nor the extractor fan in the en suite. The kitchen chairs had badly stained seats, the supply of toiletries and tea bags was insufficient for two days and there was no soap in the bathrooms or kitchen - not very Covid friendly. There was a large, dead, squashed insect on the bedroom carpet and a carrier bag containing mouldy cake in one of the bedroom chest of drawers which made us anxious about the general state of cleanliness in these pandemic times. And this is very expensive accommodation.

Clean, tidy and lovely sitting room and bedrooms. Easy walks to town and the beach.
Perfect spot for a getaway.
We booked it as it was 3 bedrooms but on arrival we were told it was only 2.
Not really a major drama for us as we moved a mattress into the front room.
We were only there for a night but make sure you’ve doubled checked before booking.
We did get a 10% discount for the inconvenience.

Very spacious and comfortable. Easy parking.
Balcony badly in need of a paint job. No welcome pack. Crockery of fairly poor quality.

Beautifully renovated & appointed apartment in a lovely old building that has been very tastefully restored
Just 1 street back from Aberystwyth prom - 2 mins walk if you turn R out of the front gate cross the road & then L down the alley, signposted to the public loos!
The lovely modern kitchen is well equipped
The beds are very comfortable
Shower drain was blocked on our first night but fair play someone came out straight away to sort it out.
The TV in the 3rd bedroom was broken, this wasn’t fixed and it seems to have been broken for some time
The lights on the veranda seem to come on automatically & you can’t switch them off - this was a real nuisance for occupant of bedroom 2 (a light sleeper) as the light came around the bedroom blinds
Unusual for these days couldn’t find any recycling facility

We booked for a quick trip to pick up my daughter from uni. Didn’t have time to use the hot tub but loved the flat and it is perfectly located close to everything.
