We had a disappointing stay. One of our rooms had bugs, and both rooms were uncomfortably warm. The staff was unhelpful in accommodating us in a different room or even checking for the bugs and other small creatures we found. Unfortunately, this really affected our experience.

Receptionist was the best ever met!

No air conditioning in the room. When I queried the staff said it’s only air circulation but reception and lobby area and around the lift is much cooler than room. Also, need to pay separately for parking

Excellent business style hotel. Huge room, great walk in shower, comfortable beds. Very good rates with decent buffet breakfast included. Only complaint is air conditioning stuck at a 19c as low….it was too hot still

The hotel is nice, and the breakfast was excellent. The location is an easy walk to multiple sights. It does, however, lack air conditioning, which impacted our comfort. We had to sleep with the windows open, which allowed noise from the trains and pedestrians below into the room until after midnight. Other than that, our stay was lovely.

Stayed for 4nights and it was great. Within walking distance of both the centre of the city and it’s main train station. Plenty of things to see and do and places to eat, historic buildings all around. Excellent .

The hotel advertised that the rooms were air conditioned, but they are not. Just a fan blowing hot air around. The beds are very uncomfortable, like sleeping on top of a Swiss mountain. If you roll one way you are in the valley, and if you roll the other way you fall out of bed. I had to orient myself at 90 degrees across the bed to get any sleep.

This hotel was very clean and modern. The bed was very comfortable. L The room was small, but because it was well-designed and well-furnished, it didn’t feel crowded at all. Location is fantastic, directly across from the main train station. Great breakfast and friendly, helpful staff.

Contrary to the USA. No fridge, no micro, however fabulous breakfast bar, free city transportation upon request while you are staying at the hotel.close to train station, would stay here again.

The hotel is convenient, just 3 minutes walk from the train station. The room is spacious, clean and modern. The beds are comfortable. The breakfast is tasty with many varieties. Abbey Library of Saint Gall is within 10 minutes walking distance.

Room size was great - very spacious. Walk-in shower was great size too - lots of room. Appreciate shower-only, and not having worry about trying to squeeze into the shower/tub combo which can be awkward and slippery. Very sparse furniture, which can be both good and bad. Room size was fanatastic - huge compared to other rooms we stayed in around the country.

Really amazing and friendly staff. The room was clean and well kept. The breakfast was an excellent spread both weekdays and weekends.

Breakfast buffet is mind blown with everything, hot, cooked, and cold so many different food items. I really enjoyed the hearty breakfast. The room was clean and clean, and the bathroom was spacious and I like the design of shower stall. Staff was friendly and welcoming. I definitely recommend this to anyone who is looking at this property. It gonna worth your money!

A true Valhalla when you are arriving or leaving by train to or from St Gallen. Right next to the station but quiet! Close to the gloriously quaint and beautiful parts of St. Gallen (5 min). Accessible to the Museums by foot (15 min). A great hub for exploring everywhere around the Town! Great breakfast to fortify you as you head off on your way!

The Walhalla is a great place to stay if you need to be close to transportation without having a car. It's located directly at the Hauptbahnhof (Main Station), so you can be anywhere in a matter of minutes and shops that are open on Sundays. But for a 4-star hotel, there is no restaurant (except for the fantastic breakfast bar). There was a a lot of dust on the shelves near the entrance where you hang your clothes, probably due to housekeepers not reaching that far back on the shelf. Tile on the bathroom walls also did not look properly cleaned. Not what I would expect for a hotel of this caliber. Additionally, no free water bottle, which was admittedly annoying after arriving and checking in late at night. Maybe I'm spoiled as an American, but most upscale hotels in the US have a fridge. Finally, rooms are large but very sparingly furnished. There are no security measures to keep strangers from accessing the upper levels. No one will stop you. So not great for women traveling alone.
