The room was pleasant. I liked the windows with the slatted shutters. The deck was nice. Only one chair for sitting on in room and no table. The floor was very dirty.

The property was nice. Rooms small, older, but very clean. Staff in restaurant were very, very good and accommodating. Mostly pet friendly. Dining room required service dog only, and that might be an ordinance. It was easy to get around, except when housekeeping services were active as the walkways were narrow, but they were outdoors, so walking along the grass was easy to get around the carts. A roller bag vs housekeeping cart was a small inconvenience if you can carry your bag a few feet around the cart, you are ok. Housekeeping isn’t daily, but availability of linens at the office as needed. I will likely return if I go to Morro Bay again. Breakfast service was excellent as was the food. But it would help to have more than one person taking your order during the hour or so that it’s very busy (around 8:30- 9:30 am). Liked the quaintness of the facility and views of the estuary.

I spent almost $300 in exchange for terrible lack of sleep due to noise above me. Every footstep vibrated the ceiling, stomp stomp stomp plus water running so loud until 11 PM and early at 6 AM. This place must’ve been built before there were considerations for noise abatement, ceiling, and floor insulation. Besides, there's no internet connection the moment you walk in your room and even when you try to use hotel's wifi. On top of that, if you're allergic to dogs, stay away because they're everywhere.

Great hotel

While I did not request a room with a view, I was hopeful. However, it was a quick overnight trip and my stay was very nice and it was just beautiful!

The only hiccup was not having the pool open at 9am as I wanted to use the sauna, but staff was able to open at 10 am. Other than that, loved this place, and I will go back.

Great location and views of Morro Bay. Restaurant on site was convenient. Obvious that our room had not been stayed in for a bit - cobwebs around windows and doors. Door had noticeable gap under it - easy access for rodents! Pool area didn’t seem like it was maintained too often.

Fair pricing. Hotel rooms needs to be updated. Cracks in ceiling. They do let dogs stay. If you have allergy beware and had a few flea bites...

The view of the ocean was nice. The pool was pleasant and hot tub. The fireplace was a nice touch also.

A lovely property with an incredible view of the Morro Bay rock. A very relaxing environment. And even though this is an older property and the rooms don't have a modern vibe to them, that lends itself to the charm of the property. The food was wonderful and the staff was very friendly.

Unfortunately the room carpet was dirty. The room had a lot of wasted space. They didn’t have a small table and chairs in the room if you wanted to sit down and eat in your room.

The property was nice. There was clothing items left in drawers from another guest before us.

The only great thing of this hotel is the location and parking. It is in a quiet calm bay area. Hotel dissapointed us. Pictures and description didn’t match the reality. Upon entering into the room there was stinky odor . Room was dirty dusty same in restroom door and walls were visibly dirty. Room was not fresh… also they dont have daily houskeeping. I have been in this hotel during the pandemic it was maintained and clean much more better than now. Checkin/out was convenient however definitely we will not go back.

Hot tub was broken. Restaurant was great ambiance and server super nice but food taste just ok. Prices were reasonable, though so can’t complain. Biked around the golf course and later biked into town and Albertsons for some fruit. Mini fridge didn’t have a freezer section so I used their ice machine to fill some of our containers for our cooler on checkout day. Comfy bed, plenty of space to do my stretches and enjoyed the fireplace.

Our room was not ready when it was supposed to be. When we got to our room it smelled bad and had a broken window in the bathroom. We were supposed to have a bay view but in fact it was a view of the parking lot. The toilet water was brown. There was bird poop on the windows in the dining room. There was supposed to be a hot tub, but it was out of order. There was a 1" gap under the room entry door. The staff changed our room to a lower priced room, told us we had to get the refund from expedia because we booked through a 3rd party. Expedia contacted them and could not get a refund for the lower rate. There were broken off limit stairs all around the property and in general the property was dirty and unkempt. There were mechanical system noises all night in our room. I was embarrised for the staff it was so bad. It not near downtown Morrow bay. DO NOT STAY THERE!

Everything was fine except we had to ask for towels the second day no room service.

The location of the hotel is ideal and the pet friendly offering is especially appreciated.

Restaurant stopped serving at 8.30pm and we were chased out with our drinks by 9. The bed was awful, extremely uncomfortable and there seems to be a damp issue with peeling paint.

We had reservations for 2 rooms. Cleanliness was fine but some details were overlooked. We had to request bar soap for one room. The bathroom fan also was not working in one room. Toilet seat was not tightened enough so was loose. Bed linens were in consistent..mismatched linens. Hotel maintance was lacking with carpeting on the stairs with holes which were a potential trio hazard. Spa was not working which was one thing we were looking forward to. A shower chair had been requested pre checkin but was not in the room and had to be requested. The staff were very friendly and helpful which was a plus. We requested rooms next to each other which they accommodated for us. Location was wonderful and was very quiet. It appears the owner/operator should do more updating of the property. Overall we enjoyed our stay

It is beside a bird sanctuary which smells that ammonia smell like kitty litter. However my family couldn’t smell it only I could. And you get used to it. The housekeeping only cleans IF you request them the day before. That said, it was extremely convenient, clean, and friendly.

Hotel is clean, far away from the bustling crowds and area is quiet and safe

Initially my stay was fine. The toilet was cracked, the shower curtain rod was hanging by a thread onto the wall. There was no toilet paper in the room when I arrived. The restaurant was an absolute mess. Our server Dawn was extremely rude. She made me go to the bar to order a drink and as I asked for a sample she waved her hand snapping and said she didnt have time for me. Before getting any drinks I thought it suitable to leave. I hated how rude she was to my fiance so I went back in to tell her we were having fun, and she scowled and said "oh these people again". We were not rude in any way towards her, but she insisted we were a nuisance. I have 6 years restaurant experience and never would believe ANYONE would have the tenacity to be as rude to a customer as she was. The front desk staff was wonderful and accommadating however. They helped with what they could. Another issue was we paid for one night and wanted to stay an extra night. We were told there were no rooms available so we booked another hotel. When we arrived we were told there were 12 rooms available, including the one we were in. So after cancelling the other hotel and out $300 we reserved our room an extra night. Overall a bad experience with the restaurant staff being EXTREMELY rude and the front desk, although being nice, being unaware of availability costing me money.

Property is in need of proper maintenance and/or staff. Unfinished repairs in room, many broken sprinklers; just overall condition of property needs tlc. Our room provided one large towel for two adults? Also mattress was very uncomfortable, which was odd due to most hotels tend to have decent beds provided that’s the sole purpose of a “hotel”. View was great from our room and restaurant was decent.

The Hotel is obviously on the older side and this was my 2nd stay...while it has many positives (location, restaurant on site, responsive front desk), a little more attention to detail could make this hotel a superstar! My patio was covered in old webs, musty smelling closet and around the property could use some "Dusting"...

Nice location, beautiful lobby, complimentary coffee. Restaurant on site was very good. Restaurant staff is friendly. Room is clean but not at a 3.5 star level which was indicated. Simple, small room. No AC, but not needed as it was cold out (50's). Heater is this small electric antiquated wall unit, worked but grates were dirty. Found a live beetle on my bed pillow. Fortunately no other bugs. Room didn't have soap for the sink, so used the shower gel provided in the shower. Asked for soap and staff said it would be delivered, but it wasn't. We stayed only one night as we were traveling up to Monterey. Appears to be an old motel which has had some cosmetic updates.
