The hotel is quite old and basic. It doesn’t feel like a 4 star hotel. There was no air conditioning in the room. The electric fan provided was better than nothing but made no difference in the unbearably hot room during the summer heat. I could not wait to escape each morning.
I slept poorly due to the heat and noise. On the few occasions where I was able to fall asleep, I was woken up at all hours of the early morning and throughout the night due to guests using the coffee machine right outside the room on the second floor. Putting a coffee machine here is quite inconsiderate to anyone who ends up in these rooms. The walls are thin which adds to the noise issue.
When checking out I was asked how my stay was. I shared feedback concerning the heat and coffee machine. There was no apology and a complete lack of empathy. The staff need to be trained in handling constructive feedback especially as you asked for it. Next time I’ll pick a hotel that cares more about the comfort of their guests.

I loved the hotel and the room, it had character and historic appeal.
I was in the single room, I was worried it'd be small but to my surprised it was quite large, I had plenty of space for my luggage and didn't feel cramped at all, I was very happy with it. Bathroom was small, not an issue for me but might be for bigger humans.
Staff at the reception desk were very nice, the breakfast lady - not so much.
Location was good, very close to the river and bridges, a short walk from the station.

If you want to stay in a historic hotel this is it. I really enjoyed the history, architecture, and decor. It's in a great location. My only complaint is that the bed seemed pretty old and it was really hard to adjust the heat so I kept the windows open.

Lovely hotel, very historic and very pretty rooms. Lovely touch was the weather and reccomendations sheet on the bed with a biscuit every evening. There was a lift but still a couple of steps to get to the room. Staff were very friendly. Luzern guest card very useful and voucher for a free aperatif in the hotel restaurant.

The stay was ok. The location is very good. There is no tea or coffee station in the rooms, but instead there is a starion shared with the whole hotel. I was in room 201, and people were using it and making lots of noise at all times of the day. The walls and doors are so thin it was impossible to sleep properly.

Just perfect - cute hotel with very comfortable room. No AC but the fan was sufficient. Nice bath and shower. Great staff and service. Fantastic location for walking everywhere. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

It was a really old hotel but in ok shape. Very warm in the room, had to keep the window open and you can hear everything from the street below.

This room was very cozy. It did not have air conditioning, but the windows opened and the hotel provided a fan. The shower was sizable and had good pressure and the bed was comfortable. It is not particularly luxurious, but it is definitely a nice hotel for those just looking for a good location and a nice bed.

If you expect the kind of modern hotel... I think you have made the bad choice, but if you'd like to spend some time in the old city of Lucern, close to everything but in a quiet area and in a historical building (over 500 years) yes, you are at the right place!

The hotel is conveniently located a short walk (15 mins or so) from the train station. The hotel is only a few minutes away from many Riverside restaurants.
The surrounding area is quiet and relaxing. The staff were polite and kind. The hotel and room is everything I expected it to be. The 19th century style decor is quaint and offers a pleasant change from what one usually experiences in a hotel.
I would recommend this hotel to family and friends.
