At best average. They have 18 other properties and this one needs some work.

Has not been cleaned properly in a long time. Do not look up. Someone else’s hair in the shower and on floor. Not enough towels.
Everything in the room I touched was broken. (Chair shower main door). Significantly over priced and will never frequent a Shilo hotel again.

They were understaffed and the shuttle driver wasn’t available when I needed to go to the airport at 4 AM so the counter clerk literally went and put a “be right back” sign up and drove me to the airport. I was so appreciative and impressed.

It was a quick getaway for the 2 of us! Overall the room was pretty comfortable, and clean. Could have used more towels and tissues. The Hot Tub was amazing 👏

We have been staying at the Shilo for years now and honestly it’s never been that great but it has always been cheap and somewhat comfortable. This time was not. I sat at the front desk to check in for pretty much 10 minutes without any sign of a person, then went to the restaurant to ask where I could find help. The lady plainly said that she had only worked there for a couple weeks and the last time this happened the manager was yelling at the front desk staff. Very inappropriate thing to say. I then went back to the front desk and yelled for someone. RIGHT AWAY someone came out from behind the wall and said that he had “seen” me there. Not sure why he didn’t see me the 10 minutes prior.
The room we stayed in was 140 which is no where near what I had requested. I specifically had ask for a room facing the river and somewhat away from the highway. Didn’t get either of those things. They are usually always accommodating. This room was the most run down we’ve stayed at here. Also there were maybe 12 cars total parked and stay by and yet they placed us directly underneath someone else. WHY! I do not understand how I can ask for something specific not get any of it honored and then you can’t even place your 12 customers a little farther apart. This hotel is very old and creaky and obviously not the people above us are at fault but I feel this was extremely inconsiderate. Lastly the bed was awful very stiff and comforter had stains on it. Probably won’t stay here again.

Definitely an older hotel but I was clean and quiet. It is really spread out so you can have a long walk from the front desk. Breakfast as excellent! Staff was friendly and helpful.

Friendly staff. Older building in need of upgrades. No USB access for charging phone. Needed a wall wart. Comfortable bed, quiet room until neighboring guests started using water. Noise awakened me.

I love the location! And having a restaurant and bar attached was great!
The rooms were spacious and comfortable. Could use some updating. The towel holder in my bathroom was gone. The deck chairs were put inside as the weather wasn't warm and they were very dirty. If you're going to store them in the room, they should at least be clean! The breakfast the first day of my stay, which was on a Thursday, was awesome. You got to order off a limited menu, but it was plenty. And it was very good! However, on Friday and Saturday it was a buffet and the food wasn't that great. There was no meat, except for the sausage in the gravy one day... if you wanted to have biscuits and gravy. And The next day, there wasn't any at all.
I stayed at this property before and liked the location so stayed again and was disappointed.

Seem like a really clean hotel. But there was no wash rags in the room, the handle to the shower was just about falling off. They didn't have a breakfast buffet they just made you breakfast and it was a pretty skimpy breakfast.

Check in was quick and easy. The front desk staff were professional, freindly and knowledgeable. I do feel that for a shilo and the price of the rooms, that the hotel and rooms are not up to date. The hotel is due for a full renovation and updating. Pool area is nice and they do have a fairly well stocked bar and food.

It was an older hotel and it showed but at the same time it was a nice hotel. It could use with an update but it had a very nostalgic feel to it.

We have stayed here several in the past so the overall condition of the premesis was not a surprise. What was not expected was the rest of it. The linens and towels were stained, the room was not clean, tiles were coming loose in the bathroom, etc. Due to mobility issues, I asked for accomodations and did not get them and was given a room that was the farthest from the elevator. They also are not doing the wonderful breakfast buffet they used to have. We had a stay scheduled here on the return trip and cancelled the reservation and booked at another location in town.

First, I asked the clerk if there was a river view room available. He said because we went through a third party it would cost 50.09 more. But if we would have booked directly through the hotel the upgrade would have been free. They had plenty of rooms available. : (

This hotel has decent amenities. They have a wet and dry sauna. Prior to check in. I asked if the saunas were working and was told yes that they were working. Went down to use these amenities and they were out of order.

Shilo is a great hotel for one night in between getting to your destination. It’s not anything fancy or new but it’s comfortable and reasonably priced. Breakfast is probably one of the worst I’ve had but again just stayed for a night and it’s free so get something else along the way. Their restaurant is pretty good for dinner though.

Slept well. Attendant at check in was surly- the others were quite nice. Old facility, very dark room, quite noisy. Good breakfast

There was mold on the bath tub,the windows were so dirty you could not see out, heater was noisy with what sounded like the fan moter going out, the parking area has large cracks and holes in the asphalt driveway into the hotel, weeds were ever where !

The parking lot is in serious need of repair. Also our room was somewhat dusty and the air conditioner filter needed to be cleaned or replaced.

The outside, the lobby, the side entrance, and the elevator had me questioning staying there. Once we got into the room itself, it was mostly clean. The front desk wasn't unfriendly, but wasn't welcoming either. The breakfast was ehh. Price was good though, and proximity to the falls was nice.

It’s very run down. Which is fine if you know what you’re getting but it had good reviews so I wasn’t expecting it. It wasn’t very clean. We even had a twirl with a washed blood stain on it.

The only reason for this poor review is that I went to check in and got to my room, and the bed looked like somebody was still laying in it as the covers were all disheveled, and there were towels on the ground. And when I went to get this problem fixed. I was told it would be just a minute. And the guy didn’t come back for almost a half hour, but I hadn’t gotten any updates.

Everything was good looks like they are updating the facility. Only one minor complaint. The sliding screen door to the balcony overlooking the river needs new rollers on the bottom. It was difficult to open and shut. Other than that though it was a great stay

Was greeted immediately. We were hours early and our room wasn’t ready. We were told about a few good restaurants close by. The next morning we caught their shuttle to the airport. Good experience.

We had a late flight in, so the shuttle was not available. Our Uber was on time & got us there quick and safely. I had tried the day before as well as before our flight on the arrival date to let the front desk know of our late arrival time. Every time I called, there was no answer and no way to leave a message. That was frustrating. We asked for a late checkout since it was a short night already, need time to sleep. The check in person said they cannot do this. So I got up early to phone the morning desk person. The lines were all messed up, he couldn't hear me so sent someone to the room to figure out what was wrong. Again the phones were the issue?! After all that, we finally were given an extra 30 minutes. We were exhausted, frustrated, as the cleaning staff kept knocking on the door for us to depart. It was a nice property, but we would not stay there again due to lack of response to basic things, such as a simple phone call, some flex on check out time, etc.

Carpet needs to be replaced with wood laminate,much cleaner.

This hotel seems to be on life support. Out of order signs on urinals, pool area bathroom and sauna, etc. The property is run down, has dirty carpets and has generally been neglected. The room was refreshed at some point and the bed was comfortable.
