Great location of the hotel and beautiful building and room

Such a lovely place. The grounds are magnificent and the staff was so helpful and friendly. I would definitely recommend this hotel. Within walking distance to port en Bessin which is a quaint sea side village. Picturesque.

We notified the hotel we would be checking in late. We were traveling with another couple. The gentleman at the front desk was pleasant and showed us to our rooms which were in another building and up a flight of stairs. For what we paid we did not expect to stay in the annex. We expressed our concern but was told there was nothing else available. The shower was a major problem with operating it and keeping the water inside. The bathroom floor would fill with water. The mini bar was a joke 2 waters 2 sodas and a juice. There is no exercise room! We did see a room which appeared to be in the process of being renovated. This should have been disclosed and it wasn't. We asked to speak with a manager both days and was told no one was available. Very disappointing. This is not a 5 star hotel

It’s fine, just not great value for money.
The public areas are beautiful & well maintained.
The garden restaurant was mediocre and expensive.
The pool area wasn’t open - even just to sit by.
The bedroom was nice - not amazing considering it was supposed to be a superior room.
Staff were pleasant and helpful.

We just returned to Chateau la Cheneviere for our 5th stay. Again, our experience was amazing. Nothing has changed since our very first trip in 2014. The location is very strategic as it serves as a hub to visit numerous towns such as Etretat, Mont st. Michel, Honfleur, Caen, Bayeux and the
D day Beaches. The hotel itself is 3 minutes from the ocean, yet sits in a very tranquil countryside estate surrounded by farmland.
The gardens are immaculate and very well kept. The rooms are large, very clean and decorated in a very tasteful manner.
The staff is spectacular. They give you the feeling that you are staying as a guest in their home. If you have an opportunity, book dinner at their restaurant La Botaniste. The food, service is excellent and the experience will be an event in itself. Already looking forward to our next visit.

Absolutely stunning. Quiet, beautiful grounds (friendly grounds keeper, Lee). Very welcoming staff, anything you needed. Rooms spectacular. Felt very much in the French countryside. Would have stayed for at least 2 nights maybe 3 to enjoy the property and spend time exploring the beaches and small towns. Highly recommend. Loved our time.

It is a fantastic hotel. The rooms are spacious and lovely, and the grounds are magnificent. An incredibly beautiful place. The service is incredible. The concierge found us an amazing tour guide that made our trip very special.

This property is truly amazing. If I could give it 10 stars, I would. The hotel and grounds are like something out of a story book. We ate at the garden restaurant by the pool one evening and the meal was great. We traveled as a family of 4 so we booked two adjoining rooms. The rooms were beautiful, clean and spacious. Everyone was helpful and accommodating. The property is also only a short distance from Bayeux; which is where many of the Dday tours depart from. Our only regret is that we didn't account for a day or full afternoon to just stay at the hotel and enjoy all that it has to offer.

We will definitely come back here! The hotel was beautiful and so close to Bayeux!

An amazing oasis! We were in Normandy to visit the D-Day sites and so hotel was a secondary consideration BUT Ch. La CHeneviere is an amazing place .. worth a visit on its own!

This hotel is beautifully charming! Breakfast is very expensive (53E) so we chose to eat outside the hotel most days. The rooms differ greatly and I paid for 2 rooms (for another couple) and they ended up with a much nicer room than we did. That was a little disappointing as I would think if paying the same, you would get the same quality. In the end, we were comfortable. The harbor area nearby has amazing cafes and we enjoyed the history of the area very much!

The hotel and grounds were inpecable. The rooms were incredibly comfortable. And the staff was simply amazing.

Very friendly staff and the rooms were clean. Finding someone to serve you at the bar could be slow but overall, we had a very relaxed weekend at this beautiful chateau/hotel.

One of the most wonderful experiences we've ever had anywhere. We stayed two nights in between stays in Paris and our time at Chateau Cheveniere was perfect! The grounds and rooms were beautiful. The staff was gracious and helpful. Food was the best we had in France!
2.5
The BEST dinner weve ever experienced! Pricy, but one of a kind and an experience. The staff and servers were wonderful, friendly, polite, and very helpful. Our overnight stay here is one of the best hotel memories.
2.5
Beautiful chateau in the country. Amazing food and setting. Perfect for a honeymoon or special getaway.
2.5
Location was perfect for all the sites. Perfect service and staff. Loved the food - breakfast and dinner. But a more extensive casual / bar menu for dinner would be better. Fan was too loud and no AC were only downsides.

This is a charming hotel located close to the Normandy beaches. The restaurant is excellent. We stayed in the cottage addition next door, which at first I was not too thrilled about. However, the room was large and quiet and 100 ft from the main entrance. Overall this place was great
