Overall it was a terrible experience.

Liked the place but Saturday night,,,,middle of the night……heard noise coming from the discothequebeside…terrible…however, they gave me another room to finish the night….that was nice

I arrived very early and was still able to get a room. The breakfast was the best I've ever had at a hotel. Our room was clean, comfortable and a/c was cool. The bar was a nice dpot for a few beers. Swimming pool was clan and refreshing. Great bargain for the price.Entire staff was outstanding

Tower one had two elevators and only one was working. The internet signal is bad.

It is my 4th or 5th time at the Excelsior, so obviously I am happy with the cost/when you get. Older hotel, a bit past its prime, but very nice staff, very good breakfast, always enjoy coming back. Plan on coming back.

All the workers was very friendly. Always greeting people with smiles. Only think I would recommend is remodel the bathroom?

I have previously stayed and extended my stay several times at the Excelsior, I definitely recommend the place and will come back. The new management is doing a great job improved the place, nicer breakfast buffet, little chocolate at night, wine, etc. But I urge them to be more careful on the checkout… at 08.45 I told them I was checking out, went to have breakfast then at 09.30 take a Uber (which was Bolt) to the airport. The management was very kind to call them - therefore once gone (50 minutes after I checked out) they ask the driver to come back because “I owe them money”… Obviously, this was an error, and they apologized, but it took quite some time. Good thing I had plenty of time for my flight. So again, recommend the hotel, will definitely come back - but PLEASE be more organized.

Breakfast excellent. Parking excellent Costumer service excellent. Hotel is beautiful but needs improvements and updates with carpets, bathroom and elevator.

Front end desk Anna súper help full, she went above and beyond to do anything need to be done for us. The other coworker not to much willing to help. But everything went ok, breakfast really good… hotel Litle old,,it can be upgraded and go back to 5 start hotel .

The hotel was large and located in a good location, which was easy walking distance from many attractions (usually about 15 min or less walking).

Comfortably large room with traditional decor. Condition a little worn out. Close to some of the attractions.

Broken nightstand clock they refused to replace. The restaurant serves meat that tastes like horse meat. Window frames with rust. Window view of a wall.

i wanted a hotel which was central, so i could visit local shops and supermarket and this was perfect with a shopping mall opposite. I wanted a hotel with enough space to be able to sit around a pool or at a bar, or in the lounge, or ever just lay around a LARGE bedroom. This hotel had it all and was very reasonably priced !

It was a really good hotel, I would stay there again. Staff were helpful and friendly.

This is one of those classic, older and elegant hotels with a huge lobby. The service was great and the room was very nice. The area around the hotel leaves something to be desired, but it's located right next to a small mall and within walking distance from the main attractions of the city. I can't comment on the restaurant as I did not get a change to try it.

I really love the place...nice pool, very friendly staff. I was taking a private course in Guarani (local paraguayan language), and all the staff had fun trying to teach me. Very difficult language, so lots of fun

I have stayed in this hotel 8 years ago. It was great, however, this time we stayed from June 5th to June 17th. and was very disappointing. Carpets in the rooms are old, bed mattresses are terrible, we were staying in room #404 and all of the sudden there was no water in the bath, and then a huge leak in the bathroom ceiling inundating the room and hallways. They moved us to #904, room was unacceptable, then to #504, room was unacceptable, then to #804, room was unacceptable, and then #910. Breakfast the same every day, no variation. Hotel taxis charges you 3 times any regular taxi at the corner. Example: A seven blocks trip they charge 30,000 guaranties, the taxi at the corner charge 10,000 guaranties. This hotel has a good location, but mostly empty. If you bring someone to the breakfast area and he only drinks a cup of coffee they still charge you 55,000 guaranties ($11.00 dollars) for the full breakfast buffet. Good luck if you go there!

I first stayed here 30 years ago . At that time it was the only 5 star in town. Now it has a bit of competition . For first time visitors make sure you want to be downtown - ask your associates in Paraguay where they are, and book accordingly. I wanted to be in the old part of town and although I ahvent stayed here for about 8 years , iwas pleased with the choice. the staff were as always excellent . The breakfast buffet was substantial and a great start to the day . I also had dinner in the Italian restaurant and thought it was great value. Thw wifi has al,so improved since the last time I stayed . All in all a great stay and great value.

Old hotel, prerty nice Food is amazing even free breakfast is delicious .. neighborhood is not nice , but is safe. Mall in front of the hotel. highly recommended .... nice sweet people Pretty good deal for the money .. You cant fail with this hotel ....
