Great stay, five nights during busy family and friends visit. Room clean and comfortable, now back to housekeeping, everything was great with beautiful view, friendly staff.

Hotel could use updating. There were cleanliness issues. Stains on the head board were more then concerning. I brought it to the front desk and they sent housekeeping to clean it and told me they would let management know and never heard another word after i already had spent 1 night in this room. I would never stay there again.

Quick getaway to see Acadia! Receptionist are all knowledgeable about the area and very pleasant! Walk out your room either onto the lawn to ocean and private beach or your balcony view.
Property is slightly dated but still very comfortable and dog friendly too! About an hour to National Park and we would stay again!

The room had a wonderful view as advertised. This is not a modern hotel but was okay in style. We were there 3 nights. At no time did we have any type of house keeping service. Ridiculous. I let front desk know as we left.

I’ve stayed several times before. There was an amazing continental breakfast. I was sadden to see the breakfast go, also the wonderful restaurant was also closed. Covid was the reason, stop using that as an excuse.

Comfortable beds. Nice that there was a coffee maker in the room. Pretty clean. Some cobwebs in the corners of the outside door on the ground floor and in corner of the room. Pool and hot tub were great! The rooftop patio was relaxing with a nice view. We had fun playing the outdoor family games. The yard was beautiful with flowers and butterflies. The beach area was amazing! Can’t wait for the next visit!

The location was lovely, staff were so friendly and halpful and our room was super clean and comfortable. So much so that we decided to stay another night. Also the level of pet friendliness was great and didnt charge an extra arm and a leg or put us in a "dog" room. Would absolutely stay again!

Like a flashback to when guests were treated as ‘important’ and welcomed with courtesy and professionalism. This was the case from lovely lady at reception during our stay. All staff we encountered were warm and welcoming. Beautiful grounds and our room was clean, comfortable. Happy customers.

This was our second time staying here this summer. Staff was friendly, room was clean and comfortable. Our only complaint was that there was only one tiny trash can for the whole room but it wasn’t a big deal. Pool was cooler than the first time but the hot tub was lovely. The patio room was a better fit for us than the balcony room from our first stay. Lovely place will stay again.

Our stay was very nice. If I could make suggestions for improvements I would try to find a way to make the balcony areas a little more private from other rooms and the bathrooms a little safer for elderly people. I thought the floors were very slick and if coming out of the shower presents a very certain slipping and falling opportunity. I would also like to see a continental breakfast served at the premises but overall a very nice place to stay.

Loved everything about this place except that my info said that breakfast was “offered”. Well, you had to pay for everything except coffee. Just misleading.

Overall experience was okay. We got room in the first floor which is one floor below the reception. I think there is some renovation going on in there, the corridors were not smelling good. The room was clean though. Note that there is no breakfast in the hotel, so you have to travel to town which is about 1.6 miles away. I felt the price was high for the overall experience!

I have bever experienced the care and commitment of hotel staff like I have here.
Their immediate tmrespinse to my safety needs and convenience surrounding my wheelchair access to my vehicle and mobility withi the property, exceeded any experience I have had abmnywherw else.
On my next visit to Belfast, there will be no other options than The Fireside for mine or my friends hotel needs.

I loved, loved the beautiful landscaping surrounding the main entryway! So welcoming. The staff was very helpful and personable. I liked having the delicious free coffee in the morning, and availability of snack and breakfast items. The waterfront view was also beautiful from my room, and as I had a ground level room, I could stroll right outside! Thank you!

If you're headed to Bar Harbor stay THERE, don't do what we did and stay a few towns out. There is nothing in Belfast except mosquitos. The hotel itself smelled like BO. Mattresses were uncomfortable. The staff was friendly and hospitable.

Though pool is open until 10 pm we needed to leave pool at 9 due to our grandson only being 8. We arrived at the hotel at 8:30. A bummer for him.
Uncomfortable mattress-woke up sore and stiff.
What used to be a grab and go breakfast is now for purchase for fairly high prices for what you get. It was an easy place to stop when travelling to Bar Harbor. Pleasant staff and really enjoyed the patio in the morning.
