We loved our stay at Lakeway resort! We enjoyed watching the sunset from our balcony lake view room. The rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. The cucumber infused water and cookies in the lobby were an added treat. We also enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub with the view of the lake. It was our first time visiting and we would love to come back.

Every part of our trip here was great, staff was friendly and courteous. I have zero complaints!

Everything was great except the bbq ribs I ordered the first night

Hot tub by pools not working whole time we were there, was not told this at booking
Not cool at all !!
No outdoor bathrooms, must walk by person back out thru gate and back inside hotel for bathrooms, very inconvenient
Not cool, bad set up
Spa personnel not savy, came out finished, where is my partner, finished yet ? No she is still inside, I wait 20 plus minutes before my partner calls me, hey where are you I have been back at room waiting for you …
Not cool at all !!
Not able to play any sort of music on the tv, channels or plug in by phone, have to bring your own sorce of music
Not cool …
No comp breakfast or easy close breakfast, or even cup of coffee, must walk off property 2 blocks to get breakfat and pay $25 per person to get coffee and small breakfast to have at room for a woman’s birthday to have her breakfast in bed … not cool
Offered only a $40 per day refund
Not cool at all !!

Nice place with great views of the river. We picked a great time to go. As my wife and I had all 3 pools to ourselves. There is a local breakfast place in town and the area is very pretty around the hotel

I think it was a beautiful property 10-15 years ago, appreciate the effort to revamp it , but there is a lot that needs improvement on: the carpet in the room was dirty and with blotches of stain ( I didn’t dare walk without shoes on) , no bathrobes or slippers ( it’s a 4 star hotel !). Metal doors to the restaurant are rusty . You get an app OpenKey to open the door to your room but it can’t open the door to the pool area, so you have to use anyhow the fob key . There is no rule written for the pool guests to bring the towel back when they leave the pool so there are tens of towel on the chairs that you do not know our the guests are in the water or left . There were towels and plastic cups with drinks in them at 10 am in the morning ( left there from the day before ) . And I can go on and on . One of the positive thing is the pools with very clear and clean water , no chlorine at all .

I recently visited and I must say that I had a great time. The staff was friendly and the resort is beautiful. I will return!

It was a family stay to celebrate my daughter’s upcoming wedding. Mom and 2 daughters. Check in was fine. The room was tired, needed some updating. Both bed headboards were faux leather and very scratched up. Pillows smelled like sweaty heads. And the room felt grubby all round. We had fun in the pool. The dining experience was just OK. Food not amazing! Service was good though. Wouldn’t go back.

Everything was great except for 2 roaches in our room even though the room looked very clean.

Beautiful property and facilities, vast array of swimming pools, friendly and courteous staff. Big problem: we arrived day after Labor Day; services were curtailed and facilities were closed, but resort fee was still being charged. As this was only announced that day, new protocols and coverage were not smoothed out yet..... and seemed to be terribly inadequate. 2:40pm I am standing at an empty bar in a gorgeous restaurant dripping wet from the pool --- directed here by front desk since there were no pool area concessions nor any provision for wait staff serving the pool area. Uncomfortable. Visit before Labor Day.

Was expecting more than what i saw, very clean, service ok. Not much too do other than be in the pool area. Wanted to rent a boat at the lake marina which is another reason i went and turned out that they had no driver's, you have to driver the boat's yourself, which was a turn off for us.

It was a great quick get a way

The staff was great but the room wasn’t worth the price, the carpet was dirty and the bed was ripped on the headboard. Everything else was great it just needs the carpets shampooed and the beds need to be replaced.

The parking situation was unfortunate and although we parked in the parking garage down on the hill, no one offered to help lug our baggage up the hill even with golf carts driving by us with staff. The gentleman in lobby didn’t even offer to help with our luggage either even upon check out. The line in the lobby was out of control with no organization. We weren’t told of any way we could do easy self check out so we waited in a long line just to checking out, with random people cutting us in line and the front desk doing nothing about it.
The atmosphere and room was very dated and dingy and they mentioned things like smores (no where to be found at the firepit, so we need to go find them and bring them down ourselves?) live dj at pool, which I really don’t know if a guitarist counts. The pool felt crammed and the lower adult pool section was dirty with a bunch of dead bugs and debris and used cups. Bathrooms at pool were far away and you had to have key to get back into pool.
The halls in hotel room were noisy and could be heard from inside room.
We were told there was a restaurant next door but reservations were fully booked so we couldn’t eat there.
I didn’t see anything regarding room service, food, or wasn’t told on how to have easy self check out or where to find the WiFi password. We also didn’t receive any info on the breakdown of our bill or room charges upon leaving.
I’ve had better experiences at a motel, but appreciated the view from our room.

Came here for the babymoon. The pool area is definitely the highlight, great view.
The room.. I can only say it’s okay. we had a lakeview room with balcony, supposed to be good. But the furnitures/walls/cabinets look old, TV was very very small. Also didn’t realize the room was on the first floor and the view.. kind of not optimal. It feels caved in, and a bit “basement” feel. The Balcony by the cafe was pretty good though.

Eventhough we did not have much time to explore the property, we had a great time! The pool is the best! Great view and clean place!

You must improve the area of the rooms and the pool. There was mold in the bathroom sink.

The property is very well maintained, the pool area is very nice & overlooks Lake Travis. We enjoyed the swim up bar. They even had smores by the fire pit at night! The room was very clean & provided a great view of the lake. The beds were comfy. The room was warmer than I prefer and never seemed to really get to my desired temperature. Great place to stay overall.

Location and view is amazing but the hotel is not in great shape. We had bugs the whole trip in the room. I don't know if they don't do pest control frequently, but in any case they don't have a quick solution. I asked for something to kill mosquitoes in the room and they didn't have, as they were a bunch of them, they decided to change our rooms almost midnight, and then next morning we had other kind of bugs in the room.

Nice and relaxing stay! We enjoyed the town around the resort as well.

Looks old and my room was like a cave extremely dark. I had a better experience 9 years ago. Hotel looks the same as 9 years ago, nothing new, no renovations, dirty old carpets, ugly balcony. Only good is the service, employees were nice, restaurant was good but way overpriced. I cant believe I paid almost 400 dollars to stay here one night…

We love the pool area for our family and the views from our room

The staff was great and the location was convenient, since we live in South Austin. They really need to focus on renovating the rooms. They are very 1995! The restaurant TR was a big disappointment. The service was bad and the food was horrible. We refused to eat our evtrees (Lobster and Shrimp Tacos and the TX Brisket Tacos). It’s hard to believe that the restaurant is affiliated with the hotel, as the level f quality doesn’t match up.

Beautiful lakefront setting, gorgeous pools for kids and adults. The food was very good and the staff was extremely helpful

Very friendly staff, lots of activities and amenities for kids under 10. Beautiful views

Property is dated. Room had delaminated doors, headboard was scraped, scratched and dirty. Bathroom door had some sort of body fluid on it that we just avoided. Carpet was very worn and stained and we kept our flip flops on to avoid touching. Mattress was just shot. First night was awful and second night we both slept in the center to avoid the ends. We paid extra for a balcony room. It was dirty and door was so worn that it no longer had the ability to go over the runners. Best part of the stay was using the adult pool for a bit one afternoon. Gym was more expansive than what is typical for a large hotel.

I loved everything about the resort

First the room I booked wasn’t available when I got there. I booked a King Lakeview with Balcony, they only had King with no Lakeview and no Balcony available. There was mold on top of the ceiling around the room, the headboards were peeling and there wasn’t even a closet or robes.I asked the host at the front desk what was in included being that it was a resort and a additional fee and I was told the cookies in the lobby @ 5pm, Wifi and the pool! I guess I expected more being that it was a “Resort” especially paying nearly $300 for 1 night!!
