Absolutely wonderful- historical building and location, just in front of the Notre Dame Carhedral. Breakfast buffet, rooms, staff everything was excellent. This is a boutique hotel

Can highly recommend the Hotel Cathedrale Strasbourg with its beautiful decor. We recently stayed here as the anchoring point for our long awaited post-COVID holiday! The absolute plus features of the hotel are the staff: front desk people available 24/7 and are friendly, competent and helpful. Cleaners are friendly, quick, work around your schedule. The staff/hosts in the welcoming breakfast room are also great. Food available is plentiful and varied including eggs, local meats and cheeses, wide variety of local bread and pastries, and jams, juices, and a good variety of hot drinks. As young seniors the stairs to the 1st floor elevator to the rooms were not an issue. (This might be hard for guests with limited mobility.) We signed up for a double room which worked for us but if you want the space of a North American room, you might feel cramped. There is limited vehicular traffic in the square and taxi service is not easy. We used local transportation to get around - a couple of blocks away, the trams are frequent, reliable and it is fairly easy to get to and from the train station and other sites. To our delight, the hotel was located on the main square right opposite the tremendous Strasbourg Cathedrale. The architecture, astronomical clock, ringing bells, tours, pilgrims, enhanced the striking presence inside and outside the church. There are many restaurants and bars within easy walking distance and the tourist bureau is also right on the square. Enjoy!

Tea & coffee were in room, but couldnt get milk after 9pm until 7am. Then they wanted to charge for it! I refused !

You can't beat the location, right across from the entrance to the Cathedral. The hotel is in a very old building and they have done a good job of updating over time. Our attic room had a flight of stairs inside the door to the room and had a level above that. Service was good, cleanliness generally good, but there was a lot of sandy debris on the bedcover when we arrived - I assume because the windows had been left open. We cleaned it off and it did not show up again. Would stay there again, but you do have to be a bit adventurous.

We enjoyed the charm of this boutique hotel, its situation in the centre of Strasbourg and its reasonable cost. The staff were most helpful and friendly accommodating our limited French. We hop. To return for a longer stay in due course.

The location outside of Notre Dame Cathedral was gorgeous. Hearing the bells and seeing the church from my window was breath taking!

Excellent location. Externals look very good. Staff pleasant and helpful. Unfortunately the floor of the room was dirty, the heating did not reduce with the thermostat. We had a bath but the plug didn't seal properly and a shower attachment that didnt fit the shower rail. Also description of large double bedfor cosy room is misleading. Standard size double which we did not want

It was good I was there for the Christmas market so it was really good location

Situated in an amazing area in front of the Christmas Msrket. We had a view from our room of the Cathedral and it was lovely. The church bells start ringing pretty early in the morning but it didn’t bother us and was rather calming. Wonderful property and the staff super nice

Perfect location in the middle of strasbourg. The straff was very helpfull and accommodating.

Loved our stay here on the opening weekend of the Christmas markets. Couldnt wish for a better location. The building and rooms are quirky and have character. Room we had was the basic I think. Enough space for what it was used for and the bathroom was fresh and a good size. Considering the location we were never troubled by any noise. Staff were pleasant and helpful too. Thank you for a great stay.

Great value, attractive location, clean, lovely. This is the best hotel I've stayed at in all of France.

Staff is super friendly and helpful! Remember to greet locals with bonjour/bonsoir before asking questions in English. They really appreciate it!

The room was great - clean and comfortable and the staff was very helpful. We were able to bring our niece along with us from France and they set up an extra bed in our room for her. And extra towels right away when we realized we needed more in the morning! ❤️

Bang in the middle of Strasbourg. Very friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast fine. Room a bit small (old building) but very clean and nice bed.

It was as a perfect trip. The staff is so helpful and nice!! It is directly in the centre of Strassburg with an amazing view! The hotel and the rooms are very clean and beautiful. It was really unforgettable and I will come back for sure! Thank you so much! It’s worth booking wow!!

We got put in the attic room where, because there was a storm, our ceiling kept lifting and exposing the attic to us. They changed our room but we paid the difference. Was a fine place to stay. Location is everything.

Great location. Professional staff. I had a small 10m2 room and no view. Don’t fake such room if you’re claustrophobic. But the bathroom was clean and the bed comfortable. I recommend it if you want to stay in the heart of Strasbourg.

It was a probleme to park mine bike at the hotel. At last the reception found a place for the bike.

Staff were pleasant and helpful to advise there were 2 public parking garages, closer but more expensive or farther but less expensive. We never found the less expensive garage but it was already a 10 minute process from the more expensive so we realized we wouldn’t have enjoyed a farther walk, with luggage. Once checked in we had to walk up a flight of stairs just to get to the elevator; that was not too convenient. The room was very small and the bed was against the wall so one person had no table access. Then the bathroom…I could lay my head on the sink while on the throne.

The room was directly above the kitchen and I didn't like smelling the baking early in morning and the restaurant cooking in the evening. The shower was difficult to use. The hotel is very nice overall, but carryimg luggage up spiral staircase is a bit rough on a tired traveler. Breakfast is excellent, I appreciate the variety of coffees including decaf.

Worn out room. Tiny bed not big enough for 2 and cheap mattress. Window points inside (not outside) so no fresh air and people walking past can look into room. Noisy and hot. Tiny bathroom. My legs touched the wall when seated. Rooms are just subdivisions made from poor construction. Walls cover light switches and poor quality decoration and everything else. Do not sleep at all due to all of the above. Good location and staff helpful.

The only thing that I could complain about was that I had requested a room with a bathtub and the stopper for the tub would not allow it to hold water. I requested it to be repaired and no action was taken during the 5 Days of my stay.

The hotel is dated. beong in a good location does not mean the hotel rooms have to be that old The shower in the bathroom was just in the bath and it was not possibel to fix the shower on the wall. Due to the status of the rooms
