Having access to the spa/close to the beach. . Need a cab or a car to get to restaurants or other activities

Air Conditioning Cooling & Heating cannot be adjusted to your own requirements it is controlled by the reception manager if they decide that they will set it for heat you cannot get cooling The outside temp during the day was around 25 Deg Celsius making the room too warm even at night Cooling was not available as the hotel had switched over to heating as it was the end of the hot season. Ended up sleeping with the window/door to the balcony open to get fresh air these were not fitted with insect screens making for an uncomfortable nightInternet was painfully slow

Nice Hotel, close to ‘Ville d’Hiver’, close to the City Center, enough Parking space.

Great Hotel location great if you do not mind walking a couple of Kilometers, also on bus route so those not so energetic can access town easily. Room and staff very good an as per description however as with most of my Hotels.com bookings I always seem to be positioned in an out of the way room!!Amenities very good but be prepared to pay top dollar for food, drinks and spa treatments.

It was fine except for the lack of ambiance = music or performers in the eve.Other spas had that.

Hotel pool and spa facilities were perfect for a relaxing stay. Beach opposite the hotel entrance, with a bus stop and cycle path into town centre outside the hotel.

The hotel was really beautiful and well kept. Housekeeping was above the expectations, the room was really clean. The staff at the reception was very kind and helpful, and available 24 hrs. Wıfı was excellent. Located about 3km from the Arcachon city center but the place is beautiful, close to see and in the woods. I was traveling for work, so I did not have the chance to use the spa part, but for the rest of it I experienced a very good quality stay.

Decent enough large hotel, well run and clean with attractive gardens and pool. Peaceful and spacious, with lots of outside terraces for drinking and eating. Helpful receptionists. Good location. Odd areas of "meanness"; supposed to use bath towels for bathroom and swimming in seawater pool with no way to dry them. Hotel les Bains Arguin exceeded expectations. Hotel is tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean. All staff are helpful and smiley. A great choice on the buffet breakfast and evening meals were innovative and elegantly presented with good food. There was no problem in supplying gluten free meals for me. The Hotel has a relaxing ambience helped along by the Spa so guests wander about in the white towelling robes. Pool is attractive. Beautiful beach just five mins walk max through pine trees. All in all, a relaxing holiday in an efficient, friendly and well run hotel in a classy resort. We will be back!

HOTEL BIEN

Nice stay! It seems the hotel has been renovated but the carpets were forgotten lol. The rooms were modern and comfortable with good amenities. Check which room you book if you want to have access to the spa - Basic rooms mean you can not access the spa until after a certain time! The restaurant was lovely though quite expensive. There was a mosquito in my starter and we were offered 40% off the dish!! My husband complained and eventually they took the start up off of the bill. You are not far from the beach and a short drive to the city centre and the dunes. The reception staff could do with a smile.

Very good hotel - had everything - private balcony, airconditioned rooms. Good restaurant indoor/outdoor, excellent service. Small bar area near reception. Pools and spa available - only used the outdoor sea water pool - lovely. Short walk to the beach and promenade - fantastic beaches all along this coast. Slightly outside town centre in very select area. Bicycles at front door for hire. Town centre has another fabulous beach and lots of good quality restaurants specialising in seafood/fish.

Very relaxing stay, staff were friendly and helpful.Spa and hotel facilities were wonderful. Probably best to have a car for this location. A very enjoyable experience.

This hotel is well placed for magnificent beaches and many activities. Unfortunately the location of swimming pool next to restaurant terrace (we felt like the entertainment). Agree with other comments, needed to squeeze through conference delegates and the smoking terrace, is the only way to get to the pool. The restaurant was excellent, but if you wanted something less extravagant, there was no alternative. Room service would have been helpful. Fortunately good local bars and restaurants not too far away. Whilst appreciating that early June is not in the full season, it was disappointing not to be told that major construction work was underway to extend the hotel. Tower cranes overlooking the pool not ideal. We may well have changed our booking if we were made aware. This is an excellent hotel, with good well trained staff. Possibly suffering from a conflict in identity. Is it a beach hotel, a conference venue, a 'destination' fine dining restaurant? At times the hustle and bustle in public areas detracted from the ambience of the hotel as a holiday venue.

A comfortable hotel. Rooms and lobby have been recently renovated. There isn't too much right around the hotel but it's a short drive or even walk to spots with restaurants and such.

Superb location, in a quiet suburb, just a few steps away from the beautiful sandy beach of Arcachon. The hotel was comfortable and well maintained. Staff were pleasant and accommodating for the most part although we had problems with poor service in their restaurant. They have two pools but for us a major disadvantage to accessing their outdoor pool was having to push ones way while dressed for bathing through the crowd of non bathers that were drinking and smoking on the terrace to get to it. It would not be difficult to arrange a separate rout to the pool - a shame they have not done it.

Would recommend, although the spa facilities were not quite as luxurious as expected. Staff were helpful and pleasant throughout.

Very friendly and willing to adapt the children's menu to anything we wanted rather than what was meant to be the chef's dish of the day. Great pool.

When I booked this hotel it was purely by chance, and what a chance, set at one end of Arcachan 2 to 3 min from the beach...yes I timed it. Our room was at the front and you could just see the sea from the window but that wasn't a problem at all. We overlooked the car park, but apart from a couple of delivery lorries it wasn't a problem. Altogether a very quiet stay, staff very helpful, my french is what I remember from schooldays, very few English guests in the hotel. A good place for couples who want a quiet place or families as it is so close to the beaches, you can hire bikes, or walk along a 'promenade' into Arcachan. It all felt very safe and yes, we would go again.
