I appreciate I got upgraded to a lovely room in the end but it was my third room moved and having the stress and health issues didn't help. I picked this hotel because of me being born in the area and my nan used to treat the family for Christmas lunch and many family meals. My parents both passed away last year so it was important to me to visit friends for a while.
The female staff were so helpful but one particular member of staff dismissed the facts that running water permanently coming through the tap was already known to him. I overhead him telling the female staff. The manager was lovely but he seemed to busy with a Christmas party to be bothered. Not what I was hoping for to be honest. I had already paid for an upgrade too.

This hotel is a good find, comfortable and convenient, especially for the A23.
Staff do their best, but it is worth making it clear if you want to charge items during your stay.
Parking is conveniently near and seemed secure.
Recommended.

As always, pleasant and efficient service, and. great breakfast. Was fortunate to have been allocated a recently refurbished room and this was a most welcome improvement over previous stays.

Stayed here a few times over the years,it's a good hotel not had a problem so far !
Good size carpark around the hotel but you do have to pay for the privilege to park here .

All very contemporary looking as just recently had a makeover.

Got a positive COVID test the morning of my stay so rang to ask to change the date to 2 days later. couldn't due their Ts+Cs. as the receptionist explained "all our staff here have covid so its fine"

Great location poor amenities. Booked for an executive room They offer shampoo but no conditioner even on calling reception none available. Ladies, who washes their hair and does not condition it? Either offer all toiletries or just tell us to bring all our own.

Can’t fault the breakfast but the hotel is situated at a five way junction and London traffic never stops. A shame really because the hotel is excellent.

Room was way too hot, had to leave hallway door open. Windows do not open. Fan was filthy, could not use. Windows were soaked with condensation from sleeping in a hot room. No fan in washroom. No tissues. Cups were filthy. Very small rooms

Nice hotel but it is on busy road. It was not noisy all the time, but there was some loud road noise some of the time. A room at the rear of the building might be better.
This is a period building that has echos of its Art Deco past, they could have made a lot more of the Art Deco which is a real lost opportunity.

It might be better if you have a car but the bus stop is close by with a 15 minute ride to downtown Croyden

Just wanna say thank you for an amazing stay at your hotel, this is one anazing hotel, the staff are amazing, the food is amazing and the room was perfect and so spacious, and the beds were so comfy, cant thank you enough for the most amazing and perfect stay. X

Nice facilities, well located for access to the M25 and South London. The room was a decent size with floor to ceiling windows that let the daylight in.
Parking had changed since the last time I was here. Now it's £10 per 24 hours whereas in the past, if I recall right, it was free, as long as you entered your vehicle registration at reception.
All in all, great value for money.

Helpful friendly staff throughout. Breakfast was farcical though. Due to end at 10 we got down at 9 45 but there was little food left. (No eggs, bacon and 4 suagaes were left which were quickly snapped up) We waited for more to be brought out but it never happened. I queried the situation only to be told breakfast was finished, The waiter could not explain why they were charging for a breakfast they did not provide. He went into the kitchen and cam back saying it would be 20 minutes if we wanted to eat anything. We did not have the time and left. A poorly run meal service.

Functional stay, stayed before, rooms always clean. Only negative on this stay was shower control for hot and cold wasn't working so show was to hot and no alternative to have a bath as all controls for water temperature the same.

Parking is not free for hotel guests but restaurant guests can park free for 3 hours. The room we had was small but comfortable.

Hotel is rather tired and could do with refurbishment.
Lift was not working. Staff mostly pleasant but some of them had no instruction of what to do when there was a fire alarm requiring evacuation. No ability to charge meals/drinks to room account. Breakfast was adequate but below the standard one would expect of the standard of hotel portrayed. Car parking available on site but expensive and not informed beforehand.
