A fun place to stay in forest visiting the big trees
2.5 / 5.0
Nice overnight stay on our trip to different parks.
2.5 / 5.0
Nice location within a short drive of the Sherman Tree and Moro Rock. The restaurant is a big bonus as there are limited options within the park and it's a long drive out

The hotel room had an old style thermostat, which was showing the wrong temp said 70 but was actually 60. The bed was uncomfortable and the bathroom looked a bit rough. As always, very expensive to stay here. Could use some car chargers, but if you charge before you come up, you can go anywhere and get a bunch back when you go back down (we charged in Tulare).

This is only place, so no other option in the park. Must be therehto skip the very winding road in to reack key sites.
Many little things missed, but when we called got immediate fix.
Thank you for special attention from food and bev mgr.
Very chilly first nts sleep, then found window fan still in. Roaring loud heat motor woke me next nt.

The lodge was quaint. In need of some upgrades for beds and a/c electrical and WiFi. Overall a very nice stay. Would recommend for family or solo travel. Small walking trail was nice.
1.5 / 5.0
The property was not convenient. There was no place to park and drop off luggage where you didn’t have to carry luggage a distance, either up hill or up steps. The walk to the restaurant, front desk and gift shop from the room was not well lit at night
The bathroom sink did not drain well and there was no grab bar in the bathroom.
The service in the restaurant was adequate.

Quick check-in. Good location.
No lighting from rooms to main lodge at night.

Was good. Early check in great. No porter with 8 bags, 2 flights of stairs. Requested late check out to help negotiate packing bc and stairs was told no. 1st time in 2 years have had a late check out turned down.

Great place and great location

Quick and easy check-in - very helpful and pleasant staff.
Room was clean and tidy and ready for our arrival.
Casual and more formal dining options.
Very convenient location for visiting Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks.

Arrived late in evening 9pm, pitch black everywhere minimal lighting in car parks and not obvious how to get to bedroom buildings which are some way from reception. Given newspaper style sheet of information with poor map purporting to show how to get from there to the rooms. Room blocks up unlit paths from poorly lit car parks then into a three storey block with no lifts or offer of help - I’m 75 and whilst fairly healthy I did struggle a bit. Generally got a sense of an education institution not a quality hotel and certainly disappointing for the fairly hefty costs. Would not recommend it. Sequoia Park fabulous though!

We enjoyed our stay. The property is in good proximity to General Sherman and Moro Rock. Rooms were clean and comfortable. The only downside was we had a lot of luggage and it was not easy to get it up to the hotel. There is a hill to go up and no elevators.

The only downside was the smoke from nearby wildfires. Otherwise it was totally awesome.

Main lodge is great as is the surroundings. Difficult to get luggage to the lodge.

Great location to explore Sequoia and King’s Canyon, good food and friendly staff
3.0 / 5.0
The hotel is the place to be for visiting the Sequoia National Park. Free parking and immediate access to the shuttle 3 that takes the customers to some area of interest and to other shuttle connecting points.
Very appreciated as I did not want to drive within the park.
The rooms are not located where the registration is done. Therefore keep your luggages in your car until your room location is given.
The room is large, clean, and the bedding is good.
However, the TV does not work very well and the connection to internet is poor.
The breakfast is OK, the buffet will cost you around $22..
For the dinner, I did not really like their food but I did not have any other choice. It's expensive and the products are of low quality.

Great property right in the middle of the park which makes it very convenient.

Nice accomodation in the center of Seqouia. It’s special to stay in the park itself.
All personel is super friendly.
Breakfast is great
Salad at restaurant “the Pizza terrace” is the only bad thing.

The absolute nicest staff on our entire 8 day trip!
Thank you ending our vacay on such a positive

The facility is very overpriced you roll your luggage and any foodstuff up a hill for about 100 yards then carry or push them down one flight of stairs at 7000 ft elevation. None of this was mentioned when reservations were made. I would have requested an ADA compliant room. No control could be found for ceiling fan. Climate control was a window fan. There wasn't any shower gel in the shower when we arrived. The Keurig coffee maker at first excited us because our favorite brand was provided. There was a used pod left in the machine. It took 2 cups of water to get it to brew, then the coffee overflowed. Keycard was not required to enter the building, yet we were told one was needed.

Everything was great. My only criticism is that on Sunday morning all the restaurant offered was a $21.99 brunch! Said they were short staffed - poor planning when most of your staff lives in nearby cabins. But pizza on patio is fun and festive! Rooms comfortable and roomy! Staff has had great customer service training! Love the place!

Friendly helpful staff.
Good sized, comfortable twin room.
Peaks restaurant, good choice of food and drink with great service from a few staff members who served us.
Fabulous base to explore both parks.

Basic hotel offering but the location is excellent. Book the restaurant in advance for summer evenings or eat outside on the pizza deck. Food was OK - pizza definitely the better option. Get up nice and early to visit the Sherman tree before the parking lots fill up.

Beautifull surroundings, good restaurant, nice employees. 1 small thing: room can be more updated

Quite a tired hotel. Under staffed resulting in poor service. Amazing location with great shuttle bus service. Hotel food poor and best avoided.

We enjoyed the location and surroundings of this property. It was wonderful to walk out the door and be in the trees, yet close to the restaurant and pizza deck. After a long day outdoors, it was nice to not have to drive an hour for dinner. The rooms were clean and comfortable. We appreciated that they provided fans for our use since there is no AC.

It’s not meant for luxury. This place has exactly what you need while visiting a national park. Food and drink options are great. The lodging is enough for a good nights rest and to clean up after a tiring day out hiking. No A/C so it can be warm but the fan works and helps to keep the room cooler than outside.
The lobby/restaurant and guest rooms are separate which makes for a nice place to stay and relax after a long day. My family loved it and we will be back.

Stayed in Sequoia Lodge and room was very tired but clean enough. Beds were extremely uncomfortable - very lumpy mattress's! Hairdryer in bathroom did not work - it had actually melted around the rim. Made a dinner reservation upon arrival as nowhere else in the area to eat. Service was shocking and food not the greatest so much so that we left the following morning without having breakfast. Would not recommend this hotel at all.

The hotel is in a beautiful location; right in Sequoia National Park near General Sherman. The hotel is clean and the staff was all quite friendly and helpful. There is a restaurant on site that was reasonable and had good food. The hotel was a little older, and I would say it was a little price for what it was. However, we did enjoy our stay and I would stay again if I was in the area

It was a great location to see the park. The restaurant was good that was close by. It needs a remodel and the rooms were a little dirty and needed a deep clean.
No AC was a shock not to have, but did cool down at nights. We had a family above us that were loud and you could really hear them!!!
