The staff were very nice. But the property need some update: worn out bed and very noisy air condiitionner.

The hotel was quiet when we were there which was nice. We loved having a room on the ground floor, which hardly ever happens anywhere else. Everything was clean and the few staff we met were all friendly and helpful. The bed was rather soft gut comfortable enough for one night. The continental breakfast was ok. Cold foods were ok but personally I didn't enjoy the hot foods as much as in some other hotels. Parking was very convenient and free, very helpful.

I dejected ‘terrible’ in the service section but it was not in reference to the actual staff. It is in relation to the booking process and policy. I booked this months ago online for our 7th anniversary trip. We are not wealthy by any means and we cannot afford to travel often. The day of the trip, literally hours before, I had been informed by a friend to ask if the hotel only accepted major credit cards. Not understanding why, and only having cash or a visa/debit, I called the hotel to inquire and was in fact informed they do in fact ONLY accept major credit cards for the hotel room hold/incidentals of $100. Explaining I don’t have one, and even offering to pay $500 cash for the incidental fee hold…was told no exceptions could be made and not only would I have to cancel, I would also have to pay a cancellation fee, if I wasn’t able to find someone to lend me their credit card. Long story short there are many people, for various reasons, that nowadays only have a visa/debit and not a credit card. This policy is discriminatory and quite frankly incredibly poor customer service that would cause many people to not be able to travel. I have travelled many times in the past and have never experienced this. I have also called other hotel chains to inquiry about this ‘policy’ to be told they do not operate this way. I will never again book with the Best Western chain.

The people in the restaurant were just closing but they were kind enough to serve we really appreciate that.

Very nice place beside the lake.

The hotel is Okay. I’m surprised it was so highly rated on the app. The corners of our bathroom looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in years and the tub didn’t drain. The beds were very comfortable though! I expected more for 250 a night.

The room is clean. The front desk staff are friendly & helpful. However, the security is weak because anyone can enter the back doors without a key. Thus, the management should look into.

Property is clean, staffs are nice

Made a last minute reservaton on a long weekend and was able to get an upgrade to a king bed. Excellent buffet breakfast included.

The breakfast wasn’t refilled for when the guests were down to eat. It was slim picking at 9:00.

The room was clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the hot tub and ice machine was broken. The breakfast was also mediocre. I wish it was less wasteful by using real china, silverware and cups instead of all disposable plates and cutlery. The eggs were mediocre and were congealed.

Breakfast was included but many items were cold. When we mentioned this to server they rudely answered because people don't put lids down. There was no need to answer rudely and they can easily add a sign to ask guests to put lid down. Wifi didn't work. Room was clean and front desk staff were pleasant.

Great location, and clean

Overall the hotel is nice and clean and everything is in good condition. The only complaint is that the breakfast was not kept filled up. Most hotels with breakfast included do a much better job of keeping the food filled and and stay on top of cleaning tables when people are done.

The bedding left a lot to be desired.

The hotel was full. We came in late and not enough parking. Breakfast served until 10:30 but by 10:00 they had run out almost everything and were not serving anymore. If you sold all your rooms, put more food on.

The hotel which is easily accessible from Hwy 12 / Atherley Rd. is about 10 minutes from Casino Rama. The staff is very accommodating, polite and amiable. We enjoyed the complimentary breakfast and will use it again.

Great spot, friendly service and clean the only drawback was the hot tub was not open.

An older hotel; some of the things in the room didn’t function properly - sink and toilet draining were slow. We were offered another room but we didn’t have time to make the move. Hotel staff were helpful and friendly. .

Room was comfortable, main street nearby was a bit noisy.

We stayed for one night while visiting different parts of the Muskoka's. Like that the location was off the beaten track, but close enough to the area attractions.

Staff were friendly and helpful, however, the property was not as advertised. Hotels.com advertised using images of an actual fireplace and jacuzzi in the room. The fireplace was a plastic image of a flame with a light behind it. And there was no jacuzzi in the room. As we did not have a jacuzzi in the room, we decided to use the hotel’s hot tub, to only find that it was not operational. Breakfast food was limited, with several appliances (waffle maker) not working. Very disappointing stay.

There hot tub has been broke for 2 years straight, for the money they charge there should be some type of amenities to use.

This is a nice hotel, staff is friendly and helpful. The place is a little dated but very clean. Breakfast is very good! If we are in the area, I would stay there again.
