Me and my traveling business partner needed a room for the evening. Discovered that Berkeley Marina was too sketchy for us so I had to pivot. Ended up here… more professional front desk, cleaner, newer, bigger… oh AND 50% less than Hilton DoubleTree… if/when I need to come back, this is the place I’ll stay again.

Easy access after coming off the freeway plus Webster Street is full of shops, restaurants and interesting establishments. I enjoy staying at the Hawthorne as the rooms are spacious and they’re free breakfast is really nice.

The receptionist was good,but quite layed back. The hotel and room were clean and comfortable. Signs in the lobby about vandalism in the parking lot were worrying. Also the second night there were 2 guys sitting in the parking lot smoking near our cars and that made us nervous.

We booked 2 rooms here and had a lovely time! The rooms were very clean, beds were comfortable, and loved the kitchenette! There was plenty of parking and next to a lot of shops. My friends and I walked over to the Chinese restaurant on the corner which was also amazing. Would definitely stay here again.

The room was noisy -- on the ground floor facing the street. I encountered a huge bug in the bathroom. I killed it. Great location, though.

We were up in Alameda for a celebration of life. We have never stayed there and it was a good experience. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable.

It was a very peaceful and pleasant experience. The room was very clean and smelled really fresh! The check in was fast convenient and the gentleman was very friendly. Most importantly I felt safe as an out of towner!

This hotel is ratty and threadbare. The employees don't care. The key card system on the doors is outdated and the cards demagnetize every day, sometimes more than once. The breakfast food is the absolute lowest quality they can get (ie, cheapest).

My stay would have been rated excellent for all categories but unfortunately my experience was marred by some other guest that was clearly smoking with smell permeating the hallways and my room. Disappointing since this was advertised as a no smoking hotel. Thankfully, this did not happen during the whole stay but if you have little ones staying, and we did, it's especially annoying.

The housekeeping staff did a great in servicing our room. The separate room with a TV and sofa was great. The breakfast dining was enjoyable. When we return to Alameda, we will book reservations with this hotel again.

Have been coming here weekly for months for business. It is walking distance to the business park. Best place if you're in or near Alameda by far. Never had a bad experience or a need to make any changes. Will be coming bere as long as I am able. It is well kept and the staff are very friendly. Despite the intersection it is quiet as they put in 4 pane windows. Rooms are large and clean. Breakfast is good and refreshing.

This hotel is scheduled to close next month to house migrants, etc., which is such a shame as Alameda only has one really nice place to stay. We were really disappointed as we travel to Alameda frequently to visit family. Possibly corporate would reconsider closing this property?

Good location, good staff. A little overpriced and the elevator was out, so my wife had to go up and down two floors (twice) on her arthritic knees.

Check in was fast, was there for my kids . Attending a concert at the Chase Center in Frisco . So travel time was decent timing, just crossed the bridge and back in no time. Big clean room for my wife and three teenagers. Would definitely stay there again

This hotel stay was great! Friendly employees and always someone cleaning the lobby or sweeping the parking lot. I would stay here again definitely!
