I had called about an early check in and was told that 2 pm was no problem at all. We had a wedding we were in town for and needed fo get ready. We got there at 2:15 and told our room wasnt ready and maynot be tkll 3:30 amd had no other rooms available. We did wait and got in before but stressful worrying about it all

Pros: Nice breakfast included with stay. Monday-Thursday complimentary wine and beer happy hour. Easy access to several restaurants and Walmart. Ice water in lobby, sometimes fruit and cookies as well. Staff very pleasant and helpful.
Cons: First night kids running in hallway and people talking loudly outside our window until after midnight. After that noise not really a problem.

It’s a fine hotel. Not great, but fine. Horrible brown and orange carpet in the room we had, which did feel rather sticky. But other than that, the room seemed clean. I also hate that Holiday Inn Express doesn’t have real half and half for their morning coffee. Just the tiny cups of it, which are ridiculous.

Needs a good deep clean & new carpets, especially in elevator, halls, etc. A couple lights didn’t work in our room. We had a hot tub suite 2 jets didn’t work.

I go in, go to front desk. Pay, get key. I go to car grab my stuff head to room. I put stuff down,shut door. Just after i turn tv on to watch news and sit at table, a lady barges right in. No knocking,no saying room service,NOTHING. She claims her tablet says noone is supposed to be in here. Nothing else. I just stare at her,saying nothing. That is the most rude, disrespectful, thing i have ever witnessed. She COULD have just asked,after knocking. She COULD have gone to desk and asked if we wer paid, anything. It was very uncalled for, she never apologized in any way. I did tell front desk lady after i asked for my receipt. Front desk was supposed to talk to manager. How many other people has this cleaning lady or whomever she was(no name badge) has done this to. The corporate office really needs to train these people on ethics.

Great stay in Yankton. All staff are very friendly and helpful. This hotel is very clean. I would definitely stay here again. Breakfast is good and ladies are very friendly and keep area very organized and clean. The only reason that I knocked a star off is because I could hear person snoring next door, doors slamming, and people in the hallway. It becomes very loud by morning and difficult to sleep.

Room we stayed in was a little worn. Duct tape on the floor to hold trim in place is not a good look. Jets were not all working in tub. But over all, it was a quiet place to stay and the rates were great. If give it a 7 out of 10.

Everything about this property was terrific. The parking was front-door easy; the staff that checked us in was incredibly friendly; the foyer was clean, bright and welcoming; the room itself was clean and the room amenities were exceptionally unexpected; breakfast was hot and delicious, and selections were more than we anticipated. Finally, checkout was easy.

Wonderful staff… the biggest downfalls for me were the poor bed with a giant crater, not having my room cleaned once during my stay due to them coming at strange, inconvenient times, and by far the biggest…. The squealing air unit that has major issues with it and kept me up all night to have on. I either got no sleep due to the horrendous sound, or froze to death. The bathtub also appears clogged and fills right up while taking a shower, which is not pleasant. Staff was great, all comments are specific to the poor room and no one addressing these issues. A partial refund should have been appropriate, but I was too busy dealing with ailing family.
