Loved our stay at this hotel. It’s a short bus drive from the lido vaporetto station. The hotel offered a great breakfast and had all the amenities we needed such as elevator, A/C, nice bathroom, pool, we really enjoyed it.

Lovely quiet hotel at the end of Lido. Easy to get to, lovely room, ample breakfast and wonderful swimming pool. Staff very kind and helpful. And they allow pets so I met a chihuahua called Roy on the sun loungers!

We stayed in a out building at the back of the property this was not clear to use when booking the holiday.

We’ve been going to Lido and staying at Victoria Palace Hotel for 8 years now. The place is situated in a quiet location opposite the lagoon. You get to see all the ships come and go as well as the wonderful sunset over Venice. The hotel is beautiful, spotless, the staff are great and very welcoming. We look forward to our annual visit next year.

Beautiful views, AMAZING breakfast, accommodating hosts. The only downside was the expense of the ferry to get there. Everything else about this place was perfect.

Bus stop directly in front of the hotel, property directly in front of the water, nice Venetian style rooms, friendly staff, short boat ride to San Marco area of Venice, wonderful locals nearby and great price! I can't say enough about Viktoria Palace Hotel. We would definitely stay here again.

The room was supposed to be non smoking however it was heavily smoked and the staff did not do anything about it. we had reserved a room for four people but they simply had taken away the tables of a two person room a small room with queen size bed, and replaced it with two portable beds. there was no room enough even for our luggage or even not bumping to each other. the beds were so close we practically were sleeping on the same bed. very uncomfortable. it was a 2 star hotel i cant believe they had a 4 star on them , no coffee or tea. there was no furniture in the room!

Lovely quiet location, Italian quaint. Great gardens, or far from the beach.
No bar area , no restaurant.

Like: Convenient location
Dislike: Lack of Emergency Response Plan. One person was injured the night before my departure from the hotel and I had to rush her and her husband to the hospital in my car because the clerk did not know what to do. The hotel should have a direct line with the hospital and other emergency services in case this kind of events occur again.

Nice hotel, but I asked for a cuppa whilst I waited for my room. I was ignored!!
Shame it’s a lovely hotel

Very nice hotel! Nice straff and breakfast. Bus outside the hotel every 10 minutes.

Last night false fire alarm went on for an hour. Pretty frustrating as customers came down all the way to find out it was false. Went back to bad only to hear every five minute more alarms for almost an hour.

The hotel exceeded our expectations in every way possible. From the bathroom to the wifi service, the breakfast... everything was excellent.

Fantastic hotel in a great location, excellent staff and we’ll be back next year! Thank you.

The position of the hotel is stunning overlooking the lagoon into Venice itself.there is no evening meal but you can reach the center if town from a bus stop outside
What really made our stay great was how helpful and friendly everyone was from the reception to the breakfast waitress.
You can’t always say that about Italian hotels and bars but it was certainly true about the Victoria

Nice place - aditional cost for ferry (36euro one way- car+2 people) to get there.

The hotel is located far from the visit area. Excellent breakfast.

Loved the island of Lido and this hotel was conveniently located right in front of a bus stop. Depending on what time of day, the bus route would either drop you off right in town or take the long route to the beach then to town. The rooms were nice and the view of the ocean was beautiful. Beds could be softer and the pillows could be more fluffy. But overall it was wonderful. Breakfast was great. Highly recommend!

We had a great time could not ask for more

Very quiet and clean. There are regular buses ever 20min to and from boat depot free if you have a boat pass.

Worst hotel Ive ever stayed. If you are coming by car, you need to pay 80 euros for ferry. Far from boat station 3 euros by bus each wayWanted a twin room and they asked for another 70 euros. There is no restaurant or grocery store was open when we arrived. There is nothing around the hotel except graves.Breakfast were nothing to mention about. 2 and half star hotel at the most

The worst hotel in which I've ever stayed, by a significant distance.

The Hotel has an annex located alongside the main building. When we arrived we were told that our room was in the annex.
The annex is a small building with approximately 5 rooms. The room we were allocated had a fairly large hallway, with a large bedroom to the right and a small bathroom directly in front of the entrance door.
The hallway had a large wardrobe with a safety deposit box within.
The bedroom was large with two chairs and a large dressing table with drawers, a television and bedside tables.
The bathroom had a very small bath that you could only sit in with a mixer shower attachment, toilet, bidet and washbasin.
The TV was freeview terrestrial Italian channels as you would expect, however the description in the hotel booklet was that it had satellite tv with the availability of sky news etc, The room was dowdy and outdated whilst the floor was cleaned and the bed regularly changed, the furniture appeared to have never had a wipe down with evidence of dirty spills etc.
The bathroom shower had the control knob missing making it extremely difficult to operate as it repeatedly returned without assistance back to the bath tap mode stopping the shower whilst you were in it.
The toilet seat was loose and almost falling off.
The washbasin taps when turned on may have filled a tea cup after about ten minutes (So Slow) and had no running hot water. Oh the free wi-fi worked well.
The pictures on the internet does not show any of the rooms in the annex where we were.

Great hotel - outside of the rush of Venice but with easy access. Staff were really helpful and went out of their way to help us.

Good economical place to stay. Breakfast is good, dinner is bad and too expensive. Don't eat dinner at the Hotel unless you have no choice. The room was clean, however the bathroom was very small. A car is very helpful and very convenient to have. There is a bus stop right across from the hotel. It is also easy to get on the car ferry and it is an enjoyable boat ride. Some very good restaurants available on the main street in Lido.

Having stayed at this hotel about 4 years ago we had no hesitation in returning. Upon our arrival we were pleasantly surprised to see that the hotel had been completely renovated with the first floor rooms facing the lido now having small balconies (Watching the cruise ships come and go directly in front of the hotel is spectacular). If you are keen to be separated from the hustle and bustle of Venice itself and don't mind a short bus journey (about 700m and about every 20 minutes) from the No 1 Waterbus stop at the Lido, then this is the place for you. Also the Alilaguna waterbus from the airport stops here. The hotel is very comfortable and clean and provides a good continental breakfast. There are some nice restaurants on the street opposite the Waterbus stop, with reasonable charges ( i.e. not the high charges near to St Mark's Square). I would have no hesitation in returning. Well done Viktoria Palace Hotel ! (Formerly Buon Pesce Hotel)

Great hotel far from the noise and bustle of Venice. It was very quiet and relaxing after spending the day in Venice. Would definitely stay here in the future.

This Hotel was very nice. The tub was a bit small but adequate. The room was clean and the air conditioner worked very well (most A/C units in europe don't measure up to U.S. standards). The staff was friendly and helpful. This hotel was situated on the island of Lido but transport was easy by bus on the island and water taxi to Venice was easy to navigate. The hotel also can call a private boat to visit the glass factory on Murano. All in all nice place to stay and good value. We would definitely stay here again.

Good vaue for money..easy to get across the Lagoon and plenty to do on Lido as well. Nice and quiet, good service from the desk, excellent breakfast buffet and A/C!!!!! Typical European room size but adequate. Good shower and even English speaking news channels. This is a definite do over!!!!!!
