Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Rooms were clean and beds comfortable. Lots to do if you don't want to go out! We stayed in the lodge but will have to go back and try one of the cottages!

Well kept. Two pools a play area for kids and a small beach. Spacious outdoor lawn areas and a great peer and dock to enjoy. Marblehead is close by for shopping or a ferry ride to the islands. Great place for families!

Absolutely a great place can not wait to go back.

Grounds are great which is what supports the two stars overall. The rooms in the hotel are dated, extremely musty, and the pillows are super thin and limited. Approached the manager (or owner?), Chris, regarding the musty smell and he was incredibly dismissive and disrespectful. Will not return.

Quiet and comfortable

It was an amazing time for the family especially since it was a last minute trip. Excellent place to stay and we are looking forward to staying here again.

2nd time coming here sure its a touch dated but my family really enjoys it.

Fairly updated, nice place. Bayside view was main draw for us. Underwhelmed with the breakfast...cereal, fruit, yogurt, coffee, juice, mini rolls/donuts, bread for toast, oatmeal packets. Grounds were nice for kids. Ideal if have a boat/jet ski. "microwave/fridge available upon request" failed to mention $20/night fee. Only public ice machine was down and had to get from front desk that rationed. Only drink machine had to be unplugged to recycle to work, ate money and was out of the first 3 choices. Staff was pleasant and courteous but seemed burdened with management constraints/environment.

Other than the ice maker not working and the cold breakfast it was good. I recommend a hot breakfast or note that on the website.

Room was clean, view was great. Only thing missing was these rooms do not have a refrigerator. Other than that, it was a great place to stay.

The continental breakfast could have added proteins and more options than just finger pastries and cereal. Also they only had one ice machine in the whole place which didn’t work. The room and staff were nice and would stay agin but would improve the facility more if they have better breakfast choices and more ice machines available.

I think they need refrigerator and microwave in all the rooms!!!

The web site said they had 3 pools, I counted 2 and a small kiddie pool. The pool close to Lake Erie needed to be cleaned and swept out, also the water was low, it really needed filled up. The hot tub was more of a swimming pool, it was constantly occupied by people who just wanted to use it as a warm pool without the jets on, usually 10 people at a time. So if you wanted to use it, you had to WAIT until the group decided to leave. The room and hallway had a strange smell to it. The tub filled up when you took a shower, so the next person had to wait until the tub emptied. It seemed to me like a retirement home or if you didn’t have children this wasn’t the place for you. The mattress was a little on the springy side, and not firm at all. The pillows were like pan cakes, could have used more than 2. All in all if you didn’t have a boat or were not related to anyone else staying there, I would NOT recommend this place for a weekend getaway. No restaurant on the grounds either. Only one place to eat near by. Much needed attention needs to be done to this place.

It was a very old had low ceilings. The rooms make you feel confined. Will never stay there again.

Well this hotel is excellent. Dont be put off by the photos...they should fix them. Wonderful place with the lake right outside. Very well cared for property and if you have children, they will love it even more.

Bad Ohio attitude,

My young kids enjoyed the different sporting activities and pools. The place had a community-like feel to it., and staff was very nice.

Beautiful property. Was only passing through for one night going to Niagara Falls, NY. Wish we could have stayed longer. Hopefully, we will go back for a longer stay next time.

I didn't like the fact that they charged me an extra fee on my credit card after claiming it was only for incidentals. They charged an extra $32 per night.

The staff and grounds were great, we just wish they would enforce some of the rules a little more. We were unfortunately there with a couple of obnoxious families. One pool is meant to be the family pool and the other is supposed to be a quiet pool with no splashing. Instead, I had to save a 3-4 year old from drowning. The adult male with him was too drunk to care. Spent the rest of time with one family who knew they were rude and joked about it.

A little pricey for what we got. I think that they want to give the impression of an upscale resort but the rooms show the age and there is much "going through the motions." Still they had many of the good amenities and it was not the price of a real upscale resort.

This is a hidden gem for sure! The hotel is dated, and doesn’t have all the amenities as a big chain, however it is very clean, staff is beyond friendly, and you cannot beat the location! 3 outdoor pools, a hot tub, play ground, & volleyball. We will definitely be returning!

The room we had was right by waterpark and arcade. We heard people all night walking by screaming talking loudly. During arcade hours it was non stop kids talking in hallway, dont try tp go to sleep b4 midnight. The noose was ridiculous.

The heated lakeside adult pool was delightful.

It was very 1999 style. Needs a revamp. Tv very small. Very few stations. Bed springs and mattress stains and old. Bedding old. Towels old and worn. Could be a nice place if they put some money into it.
