Needs an update

Remodeled, but still has a terrible smell.

The staff was so very nice and hospitable .The rooms were very clean and the bed was so comfortable. The Breakfast was great! Would definitely stay there again.

Swimming pool and lake was great. Property was well kept.

We spent the weekend at The Lodge for our family reunion and it was an amazing experience. All of the staff was super nice, friendly, and accommodating! My son and I participated in the "Fishing with the GM," who is actually a Major League Fishing Angler. It was my 3 year old sons first time fishing, and its such a great story to tell, that a pro taught him. He even received a certificate and a hook. Later that night, the front desk lady provided us with EVERYTHING needed to make s'mores at the fire pit, and it was so relaxing to sit out at the lake under the moonlight. Everyone went out of their way to ensure we had a great time. And, the breakfast was THE BEST! Each morning we enjoyed a FULL southern breakfast! The rooms were spacious and clean. My parents had a suite with a great view of the lake. We shared our experience with family members that chose a different hotel, and everyone agreed the we will use The Lodge July 2025 for the next reunion! We didn't have time this year to use the kayak or get in the poo, but we will next year! Chose this hotel if you want a relaxing kid friendly vacation.

I requested a late checkout (1 Hr). Some housekeeping staff interjected and said to the desk clerk "we have a lot of checkouts we can't do that!" Very rude. There were maybe 10-12 cars in the parking lot. This was my second stay at your hotel in 2024. I will NOT be back!!

Not what I expected. Pix are misleading. Expected more for price range. Ended up leaving the hotel after a couple of hours. Mattresses need to be changed (2nd bed was sunken in the middle). Tub didn't look good. Older furniture.

Nice place and area

Nice hotel for the price on a little corner of the lake. If you want the full experience of the lake, break the budget and stay at the Ritz. But this lodge was perfect was our one night stay.

Bathrooms need work. Mold growing on things and old shower curtains. Breakfast was poor. Very little choice.

Bathrooms and room were older and not very clean looking. Rust, stains, and out-aged appliances. Staff was amazing and accommodating.

Will be back after renovations

Staff was great! Coffee is spot on. Rooms are comfortable. Great place.

The Staff was friendly and helpful. Check-in and checkout was quick and efficient.

The landscaping was beautiful, plenty of parking & staff was very nice & professional. I was equally satisfied with my room.

Staff here are extremely friendly and helpful, especially Kristy the AGM. Location is awesome. Facility is a bit run down but they have a full plan in place for major Reno’s. Wifi not very reliable.

Room never cleaned, no breakfast Monday, poor breakfast Sat & Sunday.

The Lodge is a hidden gem,which is calming and peaceful

I loved where the Lodge is. Very beautiful area. The hot tub was broken and quite unsafe looking although they did have caution tape. The microwave in my room did not heat the food. I did go on a prime weekend, but I feel the total cost was too inflated

Very old and needing renovations. Felt dirty and run down. Reception staff were nice but breakfast staff were more interested in feeding themselves, probably one of the most basic prison style breakfasts I’ve had. The room was quite big but the bathroom was less than desirable. Safe enough and nice lake to look at, green grass and pretty scenery.

Employees were extremely friendly. Overall, needs many updates i.e. carpeting, paint, furniture. Beds were comfortable. Could have been a little cleaner. Did the best they could with what they had to work with.

Bed was comfortable. I asked for Lakeview and was put in 301, last room on side of the lake but could only see trees. Molding was off in the bathroom. Could be better kept up. Surrounding area was pretty and convenient to location I needed.

Lovely location! Hotel seemed to have recently repainted rooms but the bathrooms were not updated. The room refrigerator was noisy and all of us are very congested from the air conditioner.

The water pressure is almost non existent. The tub was narrow and slippery. The sheets came off the bed from simply sitting on the bed. The air conditioner did not cool the room. The coffee maker did not work.

There was hair on the night stands and spider webs in the corners of the rooms.

The room was very large and the bed was good and confortable. The bathroom was well organized but the tub/shower need a major upgrade. The tub floor is very slick and a rubber non skid rubber mat should be provided ASAP.

This property is in dire need of some upgrades. What what they charge, you can stay in a much nicer place.
