Horrific, got given the furthest possible room with two toddlers and luggage to get there.
For our lovely view of the bins.
The baby got woken by them moving bins in afternoon, then in the evening they where moving bins about so we couldn’t get the kids to sleep.
There was rubbish in the hall to our room including outside our room
Staff in restaurant were standing talking so I got up to order only one girl was working the boys where all talking.
Then keys to room wouldn’t work when we had the longest possible walk back with two small children.
Only decent thing was the pool

Dinner & bar staff were brilliant. Pool is a little dated and jacuzzi is too small for the footfall. Gym looked v good and well equipped.

Beautiful property/grounds. We spent a bit extra for a room with air conditioning and was worth it. Many extras in the room like amenity kits, Dyson hair dryer, nespresso machine, safe, mini fridge, large tv. Bed comfortable. Many dining options.
The most outstanding in this hotel is the service, the staff are very friendly, and so helpful.

Fabulous trip. I am a wheelchair user and felt that staff gave me an excellent experience on this trip. We have stayed in the Castleknock Hotel on numerous occasions prior to my becoming disabled and wasn't treated any differently than previously. Staff were all very helpful and indeed gave us the option of an accessible room instead of the standard room we had booked. Staff in the leisure complex were also extremely helpful and gave us access to an accessible changing room very close to the swimming pool and other facilities. I would have no hesitation in returning to the hotel or in recommending it to others.

This was the last hotel of our trip and we were thrilled. The pool was great for the kids, the shareable games were excellent for entertainment and the dining was some of the best on the entire trip. The service was excellent. Although some reviews talk about the condition of the hotel, they clearly haven’t travelled around Ireland because although dated, it was well maintained.

Be careful of the room service, the notes stated 24 hr room service but when calling late received statement kitchen is closed.
The hotel was nice, breakfast was just ok, states buffett but the hot food is served for you like being in a cafeteria. Temperature of food was mediocre at best.
Employees were very polite.
What was pretty interesting is thebneed to put your room key into a sensor inside the room so that the room lights stay on instead of turning off after 5 minutes. Love this idea as it saves electricity, more hotels should utilize this.

Be warned, make sure that your room has air conditioning before you finalize any booking. A/c is not standard fare in all rooms. We were brought an extra fan, told to open a window, however, led to a bit of noise and a few friendly bugs flew in. Front desk manager very professional and promised a room change to executive room but that didn’t work out. Overall, a pleasant stay. Staff were excellent and tried to meet expectations. Wonderful front desk team; friendly & courteous. Dining room team extremely accommodating.

Great location which was slightly outside the city, so it’s a bit more peaceful. It is easy to get into town with a taxi or train.
The hotel is busy with weddings and other events. The atmosphere is great. The food selection was good.
The rooms are a bit cluttered and dated. The pictures of the pool and spa give the impression of a relaxing oasis, which isn’t really the case. The pool is primarily used by families and their kids. I was fine with it but it isn’t a place to unwind and relax. 😃

Our stay at the Castleknock hotel was amazing. Everyone was so kind and helpful. Upon checking in we realized there was a wedding going on and our room was right on that end of the hallway on the open end of the second floor so we were a little concerned but once our door was closed we didn't hear a peep. Our room was a little warm upon check in and we asked the front desk if it would be possible to get a second fan - housekeeping delivered it quickly and we were very grateful - tip: the deluxe rooms are the only ones with air conditioning. The staff at the bars and restaurants were all delightful. We also utilized their spa while we stayed and would highly recommend. As a whole, I would completely recommend a stay here.
