Location for our cycling activity. Being refused entry to the restaurant for wearing shorts when females were allowed to wear shorts. I thought this type of sexist behaviour had been eradicated years ago

I was staying at the hotel for the Mallorca 312 cycle event. Lovely hotel, nice staff, efficient, great position on beach, had a cold buffet on offer for night time arrivals. Some areas of the hotel were a little tired. Mostly an excellent hotel and excellent value for money.

Dining staff really friendly and helpful however front desk not as much. Didn't tell us coffee facilities before breakfast was available only handed us a paper in Spanish assuming we can read. We only found out on last day. Otherwise very pleasant stay even though as off season nothing open around the hotel. Good variety of food in buffet .

Really lovely hotel in a great location. 3 great pools and only steps from the beach, what more could you ask for. There was more than enough sun loungers dotted around, I particularly liked lying under a palm tree. Breakfast was really good and dinner had a different theme each night and seemed to cover all the bases for different diets. The spa facilities and gym were great. Would be perfect for families with a good variety of things to keep littke folk entertained. The animation team work really hard as do all of the staff who were all very polite and friendly. Will definitely go back

The beach was beautiful. The staff were all nice. The buffet was adequate. A pass to the spa was included which had nice waiter features, sauna and steam room. There is limited parking at the hotel so we had to park at the beach. There is a fee to use the in room safe and a 15 euro deposit is required for use of beach towels. Overall it was a good value.

Great hotel and the service was excellent. Great location for the Mallorca 312 sportive. Food and service was generally excellent. We had a sea view which was amazing particularly to wake up to the sunrise and gentle waves breaking on the beach. Only bad points were the people in the next door room who’s alarm went off 3 nights on the run at 1.20 am?! The sound came in from the balcony so had to close the windows and the air conditioning was not on so the room was very warm. Also they do an early breakfast between midnight and 7 but nothing between 7 and 8 am which is odd since 8 am is quite late for breakfast to start. Both minor points and we would stay again without hesitation.

The price is a pretty good value considering breakfast and dinner were included! We also enjoyed the pool and spa area. However, some things were not as ideal. For instance, the shower did not appear clean and there was hair. Not a big deal to me and others may be very put off by that.... but, I do know the general expectation is not to your hotel in that condition. Also, we were double charged at the front desk although we previously paid online. Once we disputed it, we were offered our refund, but the transaction was not cancelled on the credit card. Once again - not a huge deal to us, but it may have happened to others. Lastly, this was mid-April so it was not quite as hot and humid as it is in the summer and our room was HOT. The AC was not blowing out cool air so we had to sleep with the window open. There are a ton of options for food at dinner and breakfast, but boy do they pack things up at 2130 on the dot. As with any buffet - some food is good, and some is not so good. Overall, still a great value. The staff members were very friendly and more than helpful and the overall presentation of the hotel is very nice.

Been to the Playa Esperanza many times. The staff are very friendly and a lot of them remembered us from the previous visits and spent time talking to us. Located right on the beach and great for walking either way and across the road is Parc Naturel de Albufera. Mainly Germans and Spanish in the hotel but I have no problem with this as they will quite happily chat to you. We visit in early or late season and have been coming here for the last 16 years and have stayed about 14 times and will be returning again.

Very nice hotel, it looks fairly new and is overall very clean. I had booked a room with partial sea view and they gave me a nice room at the 5th floor with sunrise view as I requested. The hotel is right at the beach which also is spotless. The hotel does not have a private beach but the beach is right in front of the hotel, so mostly you will find hotel guests there. The beds and umbrellas are private owned and do need to be rented. I just got a towel from a shop and used that. Towels are for rent as well but deposit of EUR 15,- was a bit over the top for me. Rooms are clean, and balconies are large enough to sit for two persons. Dinner might be a bit weird as they have "shifts" and you cannot change the shift plus you always have to sit at the same table every night of your stay. I can understand that it might be easier to manage but it is not very flexible. Food overall was varied and enough available, I do found a lot of dishes to be quite salty to the taste. Quality of the food was good and staff very friendly. The surrounding area has one street which has a couple of bars and restaurants, and a lot of souvenir shops and Spar supermarkets. It was end of season so not much life there going on during the day and night, but even in peak season, little variety and not much of a nightlife going on. So if you are looking for fancy bars and clubs, this is not the place to be, but for a nice and relaxing holiday definitely a nice hotel.

Definitely the food in the main restaurant was exceptional in quality and variation. Unfortunately I can't say the same for the Luna pool bar and restaurant. The cost was excessive and the quality was lacking. My only other negative was the beds were on the soft side. Other than that I found the hotel to be exceptionally high quality and the staff superb . A very enjoyable holiday.

The food was excellent, and we really enjoyed being able to spend time in the indoor spa pool and jacuzzi (at no extra cost) when we had had enough sunshine for the day. It seemed to us that virtually everyone else was German speaking, so if you are sociable and like to have the odd chat with people around the pool or in the hotel environs you won't be able to unless you speak German!

Just little annoyances but overall incredible experience and hotel, would book again and suggest to family and friends.

Good selection of food for both breakfast & dinner. Spacious room with balcony and comfortable bed. You do need to maneuver around the bathroom door to get to the toilet but other than that the bathroom was well equipped. I was there early June so no problem getting a sun lounger + shade for the day. Great for a rest & relaxation holiday

Generally a very nice hotel. Facilities - good and as advertised. Clean and pleasant decor. However - as a 4 star hotel I feel it does not have the usual level of staff friendliness, customer service etc you'd expect. Also, for english speaking guests be aware it is German run and that seems to be main language spoken. I arrived at exactly 9-30pm - the official finishing time for dinner, although there was still hot food out and lots of guests eating. I was very tired and just wanted a quick bite and to go to bed. However, I was told I was not allowed and must wait till 10pm when a cold dinner (salad) is provided for late guests. No facilities for hot drinks in room. Kettle hire is €12/week, but note this is just for a kettle which is dumped on you on check in. They will not help you out with cups, tea coffee etc. I found some staff to be abrupt and unfriendly, unhelpful. E.g I went to take my bike back to my room (I had not been told this is not allowed and there are no signs etc) and two reception staff simultaneously shouted at me across the busy reception area. Then I was given snappy directions to the bike tent, which I didn't know about, but not told I needed a key, so had to return once I'd found it. I tried to enter the spa at 7-40pm, and the attendant told me it closed in 5 minutes. I replied that I thought it was at 8, as in the info. She let me in eventually but was quite rude about it and turned off all the lights at 7-58pm when I was still changing.

Not geared to anyone younger than 70years. No Spanish food all German. Unhelpful staff. Check in left us short of info re old fashioned dining room set up. Very 1970s in decor and attitude. Good thing we left after two nights

Had a great time at this hotel and recommend it. Hotel, facilities, food and beach access were great. Grounds are extensive, so you can always find a nice spot. No towels on sunbeds and three pools across the complex to choose from. Guests are mainly from Germany, so British visitors are in the minority. Friendly and helpful staff, reasonable prices and good entertainment. We also found a great "chill out" beach bar just 5 minutes walk up the beach.

This hotel is really great and for us very close to the Park Natural for bird watching or just a lovely walk. Bus stop outside going to other places even into Palma. But if you just want a lazy time this hotel has all you might need.

Nice and clean hotel, nice sandy beach, great food and lots of variety!!
