Hotel was clean tidy and welcoming. The "spa" is a very small pool and sauna. It was warm and quiet when we went so we were happy but its not a Spa. The breakfast was amazing - worth the wait as it seems every breakfast is cooked fresh to order. It certainly tasted like that. Lovely river side room.

Really lovely stay for one night in a recently refurbished roomy double with lovely shower room and view across the river. Comfortable bed and well sound proofed. Didn’t have dinner but had beautifully made cocktails in the bar as a nightcap. Can recommend!! Breakfast was served efficiently by friendly staff, my only small complaint was that my breakfast was served lukewarm on cold plates. Will definitely return soon!!

Our accommodation was first class but I was disappointed to find out on my last day that there was an offer for a free champagne cream tea in March if you booked two nights. Nobody on reception told me that when we registered and when i equerries it as I was leaving I was told ‘it’s all on our website ‘. Apart from that a fantastic stay

Lovely stay out of season. Hotel food was excellent with good choices at breakfast and dinner. Small problem at check out when they tried to charge for our stay a second time, but soon sorted out.

We had a lovely stay in a suite. The suite was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast & dinner were absolutely delicious The staff were all very friendly and extremely helpful.

Every thing was wonderful, staff very helpful, both rooms were clean and very comfortable, will definitely stay again and have already recommended to a friend.

Nice views but a bit pricey for what you get

Came for a. Family wedding, everything was amazing, a perfect venue, and the whole staff from management to housekeeping were brilliant, did an awesome job & were very friendly & attentive. It was the hottest weekend of the year, but still nothing was too much effort for the staff, first class experience.

Wonderful mini break! Fantastic location overlooking the river and just a short walk to Christchurch centre. Clean hotel, exceptional food in the restaurant with really welcoming staff. Lovely breakfast as well. We will be coming back!

The rooms and the property itself were good with a great view. On the first night we stayed (Friday) we eat out and returned to the bar later that evening. The bar staff were great and so was the service. However, on the Saturday night we ate in the restaurant. The quality of the food for the price was poor, and the service in the bar area was appalling. We could find anyone to take our drinks order despite in being table service and ended up forcing an order through over the bar directly. Not good

Wonderful, clean, fantastic food, staff, the best i have come across, so friendly & helpful and so on the ball to see any customer standing there they are straight over to ask if you require anything.

The pool and spa are a lovely treat after a long journey

Unfortunately check in wasn’t made very easy, lots of other things going on rather than looking after guests, which was a shame. Especially as I then decided to get a room for my parents and they had the same experience then when they arrived. The rooms were pleasant enough, although could do with a little tlc here and there mainly worktop edges, and carpets looking a little disheveled. However the view soon detracts from these small things in the room. We had the same reception in the spa as with check in, but I totally under We’re all short staffed and overstretched right now, with illness etc. the restaurant staff were lovely and very accommodating, and the food, superb. Im not sure I’d rush back, but overall it was a pleasant stay, I would expect a little more for the money paid though. That said, Thankyou for having us 🙏

The views from every room are stunning. All staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Rooms are large and spacious, bed was extremely comfortable. Plenty of choice of food and drinks at breakfast - all good quality.

Outstanding customer service by staff on all areas

The setting on the River Stour was fabulous and the hotel had a calm atmosphere, service was excellent and very friendly. We ate in the restaurant on both nights and the food was very nice and due to allergy problems the staff were able to amend the menu to suit us. We can't wait to go back and have a proper look at Christchurch

Incredible staff including front of house people

everything was perfect apart from someone put the parasols up late on and the one outside our window was flapping against something all night resulting in poor nights sleep which was annoying as beds were comfortable...
