The room was the best part of the stay, but 2 day stay with no housekeeping and only 1 coffee packet for a 2 person room. Casino and restaurants were terrible. I went to Hops 99 House (bar restaurant) no one there to seat people and found my own seat after 5 minutes. Only half the tables had people seated and most of the empty tables had not been cleaned up after the last guest. Then 20 minutes with no one to bring water, take an order. 30 minutes until I placed an order. Food was ok, time was better at 10 minutes. On the casino floor, no free cocktails. I went to a bar and ordered cocktail for $8 in a 9 oz plastic cup. If a waitress by it was $10 for the same. I ordered once and it was never brought to me. They closed the cocktail bar about 45 minutes after I ordered my cocktail. Urinals in most bathrooms were out of order and dismantled. No paper towels. Goop on the floor in front of the elevators on the hotel side was never mopped up and dried there overnight and all day the next day never cleaned. It wasn't a terrible stay but it seems there isn't any real career employees there and a shortage of those that are there. Overall, it doesn't feel like you're really appreciated as a customer.

Only disappointment I have had with this trip so far is that on your website it says that there is a breakfast buffet every morning. In fact Monday thru Friday,..there is absolutely no food available until noon!!!

Had reservatioms made since May 2024 for September 2024. Husband & boys showed up for check-in & they did not have our reservation anymore. So dissappointing. Had to scramble to find another hotel. Would not recommend at all.

Nice very clean

No water pressure, fridge nasty and frozen over, you have to request maid service but phone does not work. Shower has no pressure and takes forever to get hot. Old hotel. May have been nice in the day. Scam you for water.

The property is clean and the staff is friendly. Rooms are nice and up to date. The AC in the room didn’t cool very well causing the room to be slightly uncomfortable. The in room WiFi was extremely slow when I was able to connect.

The guest services gal on 8/31 morning was very rude.

Our first room smelled musty and like weed. We were able to move rooms after much convincing. The bed didn't even have the proper sheets. It was also lacking in any amenities. Bottled water and free wifi was what they considered the perks.

Third time staying there and I’m overall satisfied every time we visit. This trip there was an issue with hot water for 2 days. Their boiler was down and they had a temporary one there and we barely got 85 degrees out of the hot water being fully on. After it was fixed, it was great. They don’t have any late night options for food which sucked because of our late flight.

Overall it was a great stay, only thing is the was a musty smell in the room but everything else was great. Definitely would stay there again if I am back in Kansas City

Outstanding place for weekend or vacation

The Argosy is a beautiful property. I enjoy the atmosphere of the casino and hotel area. However, the check in staff was not friendly at all.

The property was amazing, room was spacious and beautiful. Restaurant were all good! Everything was great till went to take shower, Huge wad of someone hair was covering the drain, water pressure was not good. Shower was so beautiful and was looking forward to it till that. Around 2 am, someone was trying to get into our room. Wasn’t favorable being woke up that way but guess they realized mistake and went on. Then the next am when getting ready, was sitting in chair to put on shoes and saw candy wrappers under bed by frame. Other than that stay was a lot of fun.

Everyone was so nice and checking in was so easy!

Moved my booking to the wrong date

There is no housekeeping while you’re staying and you have to go get your own towels from the front desk. Room wasn’t properly made when I was checked I and I had to go down for a blanket.

I checked in Friday evening and was looking forward to taking a shower and relaxing only to find that my room wasn’t clean. Hair was on the floor in the bathroom and foyer area, carpet needed to be vacuumed, there was what appeared to be vomit dried on the floor near a trash can and in the shower. I made it aware to front desk. Friday night was booked so I couldn’t move to another room so I had to clean the room myself. I asked about the housekeeping policy and was told their staff is limited, they only come in the morning and will not enter a room without someone being there. I never saw housing Saturday morning nor was my room refreshed and there were no available rooms on Saturday to move to. Front desk staff were nice however the condition of my room was horrible. I wasn’t pleased at all.

Beautiful property, very well kept and clean. Staff was very friendly and helpful throughout our stay.

The hotel seemed a little more out dated looking then I expected based on pictures I saw online. Friendly staff and the room was adequate, but nothing to be overly excited about. Check-in was easy, we ate at the Brew House restaurant and the food was good, but was the only sit down restaurant open when we were there.
