Clean attentive nice staff

It’s worth it to pay a little extra for the suite. Wrap around bedroom windows, very spacious! Disappinting they don’t offer daily housekeeping; by the 2nd day there are an abundance of dirty towels and overflowing trash!

Our room was wonderful. And the hotel is right in old town Goleta. So very walkable

This place is located in downtown Goleta. Walking distance to various parks and restaurants. One way in and out of property. The light to get out was really long wait time. Staffs were nice and professional. Lobby was clean and can be busy. A lot of people stayed here. Free breakfast and variety of menu for each day. Always a staff around to clean messes and refill food. Room was average. Pool was good. Jacuzzi looked dirty and murky. Towels to use in pool area. Restrooms convenient near lobby. Free coffee station in lobby. There a small business center. Overall this hotel has everything one will need.

It’s so easy and comfortable to stay at the HI! Our only critique would be their weird egg dishes at the otherwise decent complimentary Breakfast Bar. We asked them how they are prepared, because they taste more like sponges soaked in Mr.Clean. They said the eggs arrive in pre-cooked, frozen packages with all kinds of strange preservatives in them. They just reheat them to serve. Scary! Beware of the eggs!

Great staff /friendly staff

We didn’t get to experience it. We tried to cancel due to our child’s sporting event being canceled and car troubles. We understand non-refundable but in this case an exception would have been nice. No refund was given. Even partial would have been nice. Tried resolving days before check in. Even tried changing date but no effort given for customer service. VERY DISAPPOINTED. Do better. All rooms should be non-refundable. Stuff happens that’s out of our control.

This property is not worth the amount of money they are charging for rooms. The interior of the building needs a remodel. My room was run down, peeling wallpaper in the bathroom, a dingy bath mat (you can’t replace a bath mat?), the toilet paper holder was falling off the wall and the towels were dingy, not white, looked dirty. The couch was worn out and the carpets also looked dirty. There was only one employee working the kitchen for breakfast and the dining area was very full with people and families and there was not enough food. We had to wait for the employee to refill EVERYTHING and there were so many people that the food kept running out. Not her fault so not blaming the woman working the kitchen. Management should be aware that weekends are busy and everyday is busy during the summer. Assign more employees to work the kitchen! It’s clear this hotel is not run well. Disappointing! Would not recommend and will not stay there again.

Nice place

Room was comfortable but the bathroom smelled like sulfur / poop. It smelled the whole 3 day visit. No room cleaning. We had to ask for towels. No extra bags for garb age. The security curtains were hard to close. The breakfast was very good. Options good. The help in the breakfast area was very good.

We are having to change rooms as we speak because there was cockroaches. Not ok. We didn’t need anything fancy but definitely clean is a top priority.

We were greeted with a warm welcome and easy checkin process and it just got better from there. Lovely hotel! Very quiet and comfortable. The front desk staff is super friendly and helpful! We will definitely return.

The hotel was ok for what we needed. We have a dog so they were very accommodating with that. Unfortunately the pool & hot tub were barely warm so we really couldn’t use them as the weather was cold. The breakfast is complimentary & that is a plus however the taste/ quality of the food wasn’t that good. Again it met are needs as a base but I couldn’t really recommend it if one is looking for any amount of excellence or staying somewhere for pleasure in accommodations.

Perfect spot to tour UCSB campus. Clean and has perfect variety of foods for breakfast. Carpets in the hallway need shampooing and felt couch in lobby as well.
