Hotel Santa Caterina was wonderful, rooms a bit small, but comfortable. The view of the Tuscan hillside from their garden balcony (where we had breakfast) was especially beautiful. The only flaw was their window shutters did not let in enough light, offering no view, and leaving the room very dark all the tme!!

Unique and dear to my heart, with breakfast outdoors and a Tuscany view to enjoy. Bathtub was slippery, though, and a mat and some grab bars would be a welcome addition for us older folks.

This hotel placed near the city center. It takes 30 minutes to get to Campo Square. Breakfast was a little unique .. not buffet for free self pick up but served by the staff. Any they were kind and nice.

Upon my arrival I realized I didn’t need to worry about any misunderstanding or looking up how to say my words in Italian, the receptionists “spoke” the courteous smile language, that genuine smile that says more than words and any person willing to go above and beyond have. Only stayed for one day, but surely will come back and stay here longer.

The staff at this facility were very professional, friendly and attentive. The breakfast is great and the service excellent even if you do not speak Italian. If you rent a car, which we did, they have gated parking in the back of the hotel. (Note: there is a small fee for this but well worth it, because finding parking in Tuscany in general can be like finding the holy grail. A word of advise, if you’ve never driven in Italy, don’t; rely on public transportation🤔😂. It’s a nice walk to the entrance of historical Sienna, where we always felt safe even during the night hours. The room might be a little small compared to American standards, but the view out the window and old wood gave the atmosphere we were looking for. Note: our room had a loft with the sleeping quarters on the upper level, the steps were steep; it was not a problem for us but if you have small children or a disability you might want to ask about it. If you need to know anything as the concierge, they are available 24 hours a day and even helped us order pizza for delivery to the hotel on the last night we were there. There is also a small tax you have to pay that is not included in the booking rate, but believe this is true throughout Italy. Overall a great experience and would stay there again.

The unique property with it's beautiful garden is a treed oasis. It has views into the countryside and is the perfect spot for breakfast. The location is perfect. Just outside the gate of the old city. Staff were so friendly and helpful. What a wonderful place to stay!

Excellent location, beautiful view. Service was outstanding. Room has bathroom at floor level and the bed above, through stairs —not for mobility impaired people. We did not mind!

Nicely maintained 3 star right outside the porta romana. A good step to the Camp and Duomo, but very easily accessible by car. Super friendly staff. Good breakfast. Great view from my room

The room with the balcony had a fantastic view. The receptionist helped us when we need to move/park our car. As the hotel is located out of the zone “ZTL” we didn’t have to worry about the camera.

Rude male staff - spent more time telling us we were wrong And it was our fault than helping us and showing empathy about our incorrect booking (we had not seen the room was a split level with the toilet downstairs and this was a problem for us as I am pregnant and struggle with stairs at night). Empathy is not something He had been taught - a course may help him. Breakfast was fine - I won’t write home about it. Looking back, the location from the Center may be a bit far for some. Parking was easy to find. The view was fine but you can find much better views in Tuscany!!!

Great location, fantastic terrace, very good breakfast. Rooms have two double glazing throughout, which ensures a full soundproof sleep. Fully recommended, will be back.

I love the property because I felt like HOME. This is a property with character, antique, classic and every day you see a new details in the decoration. I took pictures every day with an artist eye. GREAT customer service. HAPPY staff taking pride in serving their guesses with a smile always..everything is minutes away. The best restaurants in town were highly recommended by the Hosts and i was very satisfied of their cuisine. I will come back again...with my family 💖👌

The property and it’s garden are excellent. I especially liked the breakfast room which is adjacent to the garden making the atmosphere very pleasant. The only downside for us was the hotel location which is outside the city wall. The walk into the city center was a little too long for us because we both use canes. If you don’t have problems walking this is a fine location.

The beautiful quiet garden looking out over the Tuscan countryside made a special feature. The staff were helpful, friendly, so professional.

We had an awesome stay at Hotel Santa Caterina, the room was very clean and comfortable, the garden seating overlooking the Tuscan hills was amazing, buffet breakfast was great, excellent decafe coffee, the staff were super friendly and helpful, the owner recommended 5 city’s close by to visit and she was right on, Can’t say enough about the staff, they made our stay in Siena/Tuscany wonderful.

Slightly outdated room furniture but bed comfortable for at least me who likes a little bit stiffer mattresses. Clean room and bathroom with good pressure in the shower but not as good in the hair dryer. Very friendly staff giving good service. Only cold breakfast but with reasonable supply and the outdoor scenery is fantastic. Parking possible for an extra fee in the backyard. Good position for a beautiful shorter walk into center of Siena.

The hotel staff is very friendly and supportive. They have no restaurant for a late snack but there’s a good pizzeria at about 250 meters down the street for an evening snack that you can take with you in the garden, which we did. They do serve drinks u til 0:00. The garden is open until about 01:30.

Great location very short walk to the centre of Siena. Lots of on street free parking too. The room was very comfortable but do check what you have booked if you are not comfortable with a split level room with the bed upstairs as the stairs are steep. They have a beautiful garden where you can have breakfast which has gorgeous views. We loved this hotel!

Location and staff are superb. This was our second visit for those reasons and on arrival we were upgraded.

Siena is a most wonderful city and our stay at Hotel Santa Caterina was delightful in every way. Lorenza and Lucio are terrific hosts. The location is perfect - we loved being able to walk into town and also to drive out of town into the countryside. We will certainly return as soon as we can!

The owner and staff treated you like locals / family and could not help enough, anything you needed they were there to instantly do what they could. Certainly going back when next in Siena!

Very beautiful and comfortable hotel, conveniently located just outside the city walls of Siena. We were uograded to an apartment which had wonderful views over the valley. The staff were friendly and very helpful, and the breakfast was a good selection. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely book again.
