Central location, great breakfast, clean rooms, friendly staff. It’s a short hike up from where the funicolare leaves you off. A little rough with bags if it’s super hot out, but otherwise a nice and pleasant walk. You are a staircase away from the duomo and a couple of side streets off of the main drag. We booked this on the Rick Steves recommendation and had zero regrets with our choice.

Hotel Duomo was wonderful. So close to the duomo and area is very quiet and safe at night. Our room was outstanding. Bedding was great, bathroom as well. A/C was perfect temperature. Nice closet with mirrors on insides of doors and a safe. We had a door that opened overlooking the lower patio and we could see the spires of the duomo from our room. Breakfast was very good and substantial. Can’t say enough good things about the staff-so helpful and cheerful. Light rain in the evening so the staff provided umbrellas for our use. WiFi was fast and steady. Highly recommend the Hotel Duomo.

Proximity to many landmarks and of course, the Duomo is literally next door. One of the few hotels that came with a stocked mini fridge. Great breakfast selection and plentiful so you don't have to come early. My room came with a balcony which was a pleasant surprise. Also spacious and modern bathroom. The service was friendly and accommodating. If I have to pick something, then it's the dated air-conditioning but it's down to preference - I preferred a icy cold room. Other that this, the hotel is highly recommended.

The best thing I like the most is being near the beautiful Duomo in Orvieto

The Duomo Hotel was near Duomo which was great! But the train schedule was not up to part. Limited trains going to the that city Orvieto. Plus the cable car getting up to the mountain is also limited. So overall is not convenient for me at all. The staff is also limited to the train schedule getting towards the airport??

We loved this hotel, their staff and the breakfast. The rooms and everything about the hotel is clean and enjoyable. Keep in mind this is a historic hotel, so it is cozy and delightful. We parked in their private area. The staff couldn't have been better or more helpful. We would certainly recommend staying there, and we'll do so again.

The location of as great. We walked to everything that we wanted to see. There were some slight hills involved. Our room was very spacious, and we had a double bed and two twin beds. Breakfast was very good and the staff were all very pleasant.

Superb cozy hotel. Best location possible. Be aware though not to try to reach out via car.

Very good location, pleasant surroundings and convenient for attractions. Orvieto is a beautiful, small town that is easily walkable, with lots of great restaurants.

A little tired property but staff was kind and location was excellent

We arrived after a long day of traveling from Norway. The staff could not have been more welcoming and helpful. We had a reservation for dinner at the restaurant downstairs. Breakfast the next morning was great and we had a chance to walk around Impruneta. We were sorry we couldn't stay longer.

Excellent location and great staff. This is a family owned hotel that is perfect for a nice stay in Orvieto. I will be returning here. Gianni, the owner, gave us all kinds of wonderful recommendations and even described some of the town’s history to us. We would highly recommend it.

My husband and I just spent two separate nights in the Hotel Duomo and found it very comfortable, convenient, and clean. It is just steps from the Duomo and an easy walk to shops and restaurants. The bathroom was well laid out and came with big fluffy towels. Most importantly, the hostess and her husband were very helpful and kind. He parked our car for us and brought it back to the door when we checked out. A word to the wise, do contact the hotel before arrival for instructions about how to drive into town. Our GPS had us going around in circles, but when we called, the proprietress guided us right to the hotel. We would happily stay at Hotel Duomo again.

This hotel was right next to the Duomo. It was in a great location for visiting the museums and archeological sites of the area. We had a large room. Breakfast had all sorts of pastries as well as cheeses and meat. It had an outside terrace which was nice to enjoy at happy hour. The hotel staff helped us to arrange

The family that runs the property speaks wonderful English and is so helpful and works to make your stay comfortable. The hotel is beautiful and well done. Clean and everything works. The location could not be better to be near by shopping and restaurants. They park your car for you for your stay and are always willing to help with maps and directions to places. I loved our stay. Great European breakfast included.

Property was a very average family run hotel close to central square. Great re cleanliness - hosts and staff were professional, but no sense of warmth/ friendliness. Plus was room was ready in advance of check-in, proximity to Orvieto’s main square, cleanliness & a nice full continental breakfast. Negative was really small room despite reservation for mid size and decision by owner to turn off heat for evening after a day only in the mid - to high 50s. The front desk inferred the owner had decided no heat was necessary, and that was policy. Once under all the blankets it was ok but not terribly pleasant thru late afternoon & evening. No explanation if malfunction or just owner’s decision to turn off system

Wonderful location with convenient bus service from the Funicular to Piazza Duomo. Our room was very comfortable and clean and the staff is friendly and helpful. We enjoyed a delicious assortment at the buffet breakfast and recommend Hotel Duomo most highly.
