Beautiful property, very clean and luxurious. The staff was very slow to respond to our requests though. I called 3 times in one night for an extra bed cover but it never came. We were cold all night

Esmeralda Resort was clean with beautiful beach. Buffet food was same almost every night. Needs more options for menu especially international items. We tried The Green Restaurant but the food was not even close to greek or the mediterranean region. Casa Bella Italian restuarant was overall great with great food and staff amd service. Definitely expected better since we had great time at Akumal in Mexico. Hoping our Jamaica vacation meets our expectations.

Excellent location

The hotel was very good it has been recently renovated. The room was very comfortable. Even the sofa bed had a good mattress. The mini fridge was stocked everyday with essentials. The pool area has two different places to pick up towels which is very convinient.

Excited to utilize my VIP upgrade. This is the first time I’ve experienced really bad mosquitoes.

Hotel and staff was excellent. I love it and definitely will go again but outside the hotel like different world.

Had a good time

It’s a beautiful property, very friendly staff and clean. The only downside was the WiFi wasn’t that good and they didn’t have posting of the activities. I didn’t know what time or what activities where happening.

We had a great time overall the staff and entertainment was great. The A la cart Restaurants were difficult to get reservations so we had to have the buffet most nights.

We we’re afraid of the mixed reviews but everything was excellent.

Was very nice and easy to walk around

While I will say that the staff does try, they are friendly and helpful and so kind. Yeezy at the towel pool station was fun and entertaining. Juan at the customer experience desk on the first floor was great and looked out for our every need. Mayelin, Emmenual and Hector and the hostess at the outdoor deck by the beach were so amazing everyone should be given a raise including the guy in the grill. Claudia at the pool who took drink orders with a smile along with her colleague Claudia were fantastic, please make sure you upgrade them and do right by them. Everyone i mentioned deserve a raise. While the service was excellent, I was I’m extremely uncomfortable, underwhelmed and dissatisfied with my room stay. The WIFI sucks and AC and ventilation in every room and indoor restaurant is horrible and close to nonexistent. I was told you did a recent renovation in rooms but they need to gut it and start from scratch. You can tell they only slapped some paint on them a little grout or new fixures and missed the edges! The resort has no elevator and is 3 stories, depending on which resort you stay at you can visit other resorts. Regarding food at the speciality restaurants, food tends to come out cold if you aren’t dining at a buffet. The theme restaurants are great and had an experience but again you need to ensure that all the details of the experience are explained correctly.The pool needs to be checked regularly to ensure vents are clear and lotion, body oils, sunscreen don’t

Everything was beautiful and we had a great vacation.

Highly recommend. Beautiful all-inclusive with great dinner options. Friendly staff. Could have had better menus for the children and better designed booking options for meals. Really enjoyed our stay here.

Reaort was nice and the staff too. Excellent customer service but the food wasn’t good at all except for the buffet. Adult side restaurant had better food.

It’s really beautiful and every night they have something going on. Is very clean however the beds have a smell.

Personnel was awesome, every one super nice and professional. Didn’t like that the pools were dirty, noisy some of the nights, not enough entertainment. I didn’t like that there was only one buffet and same food and no where to get food fast during the shutdown of the buffet. You should have more options. There was also a limit in dining reservations and our only other option was same buffet. Pretty disappointed for a big resort.

The property is the best

My stay was great in general. But the service in the restaurants was not good. Eventhough the service in the buffet and Yurta restaurants was excelent. The instalations are excelent. I would like the tours and their prices to be managed by the hotel itself to avoid unpleasant situations that overshadow all the good things about the facility.

Wonderful time with family. I highly recommend the room with private swim up pool.

Needed better air conditioning

It's been 2 years since our last visit and there have been many improvements and additions to the property. Armando at reception guest services, Joanny at reception to help with luggage and always greeted/joked with us, Joanna at the pool bar at Esmeralda and Carlos at the sports bar in Esmeralda were awesome and always helpful and welcoming. All in all, we loved our stay and hope to return again.

It’s ok definitely not luxury

Absolutely amazing stay. Clean rooms, delicious food, wonderful service, great animation, activities and shows. Would highly reccomend. We had an unforgettable experience. I traveled with my husband and my baby is 1 year old and she had a crib in our room and also had a blast in the water park on property. Everything very modern and newly renovated.

Overall, we had a nice time however, there are certainly pros and cons to staying here. Room: Nice room, newly renovated. Housekeeping was attentive and kept the room clean. Bed did not have a fitted sheet, which we did not like. There was just a flat sheet that was tucked under the mattress corners and it kept moving/ exposing the mattress. Food: Mediocre buffet with not much variety. The chef stations were chaotic and you had to wait. There should be a better line system at the chef stations. Restaurants: Yurta and Fish Market are good, the Rodizo needs a more efficient system because we barely got any food. Overall, food and food service is mediocre. Entertainment: Staff was excellent! Special shoutout to Franklin and Miguel who made us feel right at home! Beach: Beautiful beach, the highlight of our trip. Overall: Resort is decent but not luxurious. There are definitely simple improvements that could enhance the overall appeal. For example, stair areas are a bit dirty and beat up, construction materials are often in the hallway etc. Beach Service: Beach service was basically non-existent. The servers are not attentive and you’re lucky if they come to you at all.
