Elevator broken 2/3, not fixed immediately

Wonderful room and restaurant. The imperfect score results from 2 of 3 elevators being out of order. There did not seem to sufficient urgency in getting these back in working condition.

Polite, helpful staff. Easy walking to city centre and railway station. Good selection for breakfast. Reasonably priced restaurant. Quiet. Good shower. No complains and I'm glad I booked this hotel.

Full garbage in bathroom on arival. Had to tell them twice before it was taken care of. They are cheap on the coffee. 1 1/2 cup per person😔 Breakfast ok. Big nice bed. Did not like 1 sheat for 2 people. Asked for 1 more so ok.

Room was roomy and comfortale. Staff were very helpful. Loved the pancake making machine at breakfast.

Highly mediocre experience. Very oddly designed rooms. Housekeeping entered without knocking. Noise from the lift shaft. Room too hot with Aircon that didn't seem to work. Shower broken.

Staff was nice , hotel was close to center with lots of dining and shopping options rooms need upgrade and restructure

Great location, which was also the main reason for booking this hotel. Room was clean and nice. Ours was very close to the elevators, which could be heard but it wasn’t a dealbreaker. There was some issues with the general service but all in all, we recommend!

Great hotel

Excellent hotel with attentive staff. Very clean room with comfortable bed.

Conveniently located in Hamburg. It's close to many restaurants, shops, and even a museum (Kuntshalle). It's located in a quieter area but close enough to everywhere else that it doesn't feel isolated. The staff was friendly and responsive to our needs. Marzia, in particular, was very helpful when we checked in. My biggest complaint was the loud bathroom noises coming from the pipes intermittently throughout the night. Otherwise, I recommend this place to someone looking for a comfortable and convenient place to stay.

The stay was pleasant. Easy access. But the in-room amenities was not so correct. No shampoo and body wash in bath but have Hand Wash. The cleaner also forgot to take away the old rubbish

The staff was very helpful, the breakfast was fine and my room was clean and comfortable.

The location is decent, however the design does not bring any athmosphere. Naked concrete and no comfort in the lobby. We got a room in direct connection with the three lifts, which if course was quite disturbing with mechanical noise as soon as they where used. Finally the breakfast was barely acceptable, still no athmosphere, as a school canteen, and just bare minimum of ingredients of whath we expect on a 3 or 4 star hotel, sparese on things like fruit and jam, and only a few slices of toppingen server att the time.

The hotel is very modern and smart. Staff are friendly. We arrived early in the morning and was able to leave our bags here until we checked in later. Short walk to Hamburg HBF, and the town hall.good location

nice service and good place to stay

The lift didn't work for most of our stay. The access to the hotel is either by a manual revolving door, or another door that they lock from early. Getting in and out with a pram was difficult and we have no accessiblity issues. The staff seemed oblivious to this. The toilet shower is in too close proximity to the sleeping area, if you stay with family if you need the toilet at night they will be woken up (i get this is a cultural thing also but I've stayed in many hotels and this is unusual). The bedsheets stained. The restaurant was closed for most of our stay. They charged 25 Euro's for a canteen breakfast in an office like space (presumably because their restuarant was closed). Location is great but honestly I will never visit another Barcelo anywhere, how they think treating guests like this is acceptable is beyond me. I travelled with my partner and our toddler.

A great location close to the city center, several Christmas markets, and the main train station. The bar and restaurant staff were particularly friendly. The big minus was the cost. The hotel stay was VERY expensive for what was essentially just an average room (although it was peak Christmas market season). The room also only enough towels for one traveler, when we clearly indicated we had three. So while our stay checked all of the Orbitz rating subcategories, we can't rate higher than 4 stars overall due to these two rather big drawbacks. The breakfast was also very expensive, but ultimately worth it.
