Room was spacious and clean. Liked that it had wood look floors rather than carpeting. Well kept for an older property. Friendly staff and a respectable breakfast. There in an off season so not crowded.

I would not stay at the Palmer House again. First day of arrival we were told no outdoor pool as it was being repaired. On our second day, there was no hot water until the following afternoon. The bathroom and living area were dirty and the beds were very firm. We asked about a discount for the lack of hot water and they said, well it came back on in the afternoon, but I explained we had hiked the day before and were not able to take hot showers that evening or morning and had plans to go out for the day. Overall the service and property was not what I expected to experience.

The property is somewhat misleading. The photos depict a large century home and we were under the impression we would be staying there. The property is actually laid out like a motel with rows of rooms adjoined. Parking is behind each unit. All are ground level. The room is quite large with a separate mini kitchen beside the bathroom. The property is clean, and decent for the price. Not luxurious or fancy but suitable for a night or 2 while passing through or skiing in winter.

All our previous stays at Palmer House were enjoyable. Rooms clean and quiet. This morning I woke up at 6:30 to a dog barking in the next room and a little girl running back and forth on the sidewalk. It appears the family lives there. Why not place them in a room away from visiting guests.

Wehave been going to The Palmer House for years. We uaed to live the property with the Trout Pond and Par 3 golf course. The staff was always great and the rooms were big and clean
Ever since the property was sold to the new owner (out of State LLC) its gone downhill. There are huge potholes in the driveway, the property has weeds and hasn't been maintained, couldn't use the golf course. The pond is loaded with algae and overgrown with weeds, the indoor pool wasn't working, the firepit wasn't working.Our bed sagged in the middle, the drain broke in the tub so it was filled withh 2 inches of water. The staff was great and helped us out by fixing what they could.

1- No working Microwave in our room, one there was broken, replaced and that one didn't work either! There should be one in each room for customers convenience! 2- workout machines out of date and a Hazardous for people to use them! 3- NO sign put up to say filter in pool broken and don't swim in it! 4- pool house bathrooms need a door lock on them for privacy when showering and dressing!
5- Lockers don't close properly for lock use!
6- No small chair or table in bathroom of pool house. 7- some outside porch room lights don't work, maybe a bad bulb! 8- NO paper towels in bathroom pool house! ALSO PAPER HOLDER was hung upside down. Our room was clean, Customer service was great! Breakfast was great! Restaurant meals were very good!

It was ok, the tub water wouldn’t go down after my son showered, so standing in a pool of soap scum was no fun. I asked if they could look at it while we were at dinner. The next morning I took a shower in under a minute when I saw the water filling up around my ankles. I was afraid of flushing the toilet too because it looked like it struggled to go down. Idk maybe the ground was saturated after all the snow and rain.

The staff was so friendly and helpful. We were 10 minutes away from the mountain and the price was perfect. Our only complaint which is complete personal preference was the bed was a little hard. Again that's personal preference.

Check out was at 11 but we got a knock on the door at 10:30 & 10:50 from a housekeeper. I told him we would be out at 11 yet we were still bombarded. We left the room at 11 and the housekeeper was waiting outside the door for the whole 30 mins we were trying to get our things together to leave.
