A wonderful stay, only down side was no air conditioning when it was a hot day, but A/C isn’t common so just be aware.

This is a pleasing new, or renovated, property with a friendly staff at reception, a good housekeeper, an excellent breakfast, and located in beautiful surroundings. It was about 15 minutes, by bus, to the Berchtesgaden central train station, in one direction and about 15 minutes, by bus, to Konigsee. It took awhile to understand the bus schedules.

Nice balcony outside the room to sit and watch the hangkiders and look up at the mountains.

Very good breakfast very friendly people in charge of the hotel. All very easy to solve. Swimming Pool and sauna (both small) are the only small not so good detail. Summarizing a good hotel to stay and not so far for all tracks in Schonau

Wonderful location in the Bavarian countryside. The hotel staff were very friendly, food was great, and our stay was fantastic. Nothing like waking up to cowbells ringing as the local cows are all outfitted with cowbells. We definitely plan on returning in the future.

Lady at the front desk was AMAZING and so helpful, she really made the effort to make sure we had a wonderful stay. The rooms and breakfast were ok. Comfortable beds but they don’t use mattress protectors so stains showed through the sheets which was not ok. There was also dog hair on the blankets in the wardrobe and when we asked for them to be cleaned they didn’t bring them back again. Overpriced and I probably wouldn’t stay here again. If it wasn’t for the lovely lady at the front desk I think we would have had a worse time!

Loved the mountain view! Hates that there is no ventilation or movement of air in the room, had to open the back door at night. No air conditioning, and the pillows were so soft you could almost classify them as a sheet

Clean, spacious And comfortable room. Beds are comfy if you like a firm mattress. Bathroom is like a ballroom seperate bath and shower. The view is magnificent however, because of the panoramic window in this room (family deluxe) there are no curtains so be prepared to see the sun come up over the mountains.

Location is convenient to go to both lakes. Services are good and staff are very friendly. Great place to stay.

About 10 minutes drive from Berchtesgaden, nice and quiet neighborhood, with a few small hotels around. Only 4km away from the dock for Lake Konigssee, very convenient. The property is in two buildings, the room we booked has a living room with a pullout sofa and a bedroom with a king size (two single beds put together). The hotel gave us a guest card for each person which provides discounts for parking around the town and other discounts. Friendly staff overall. Breakfast has good options. Would stay next time if in the area.

This was a great family friendly hotel just minutes from Eagle's Nest and salt mines. We stayed in the newer of 2 buildings. Very spacious and relaxing. The restaurant for dinner was wonderful as was breakfast in the morning. Plenty of easy parking and beautiful views. My only regret was we didn't allow ourselves enough time to enjoy the pool.

The apartment room size was great for a family of 4 ... is like 2 rooms ... it had many facilities... the restaurant is quite good. Is close to many great excursions.

We are very happy with our stay. The hotel is situated perfectly between Königsee and Berchtesgaden and works very well for hiking and other activities. Clean room, friendly staff. We had a room with balcony. Free parking. Biergarten is not open all days.

At first we weren't sure if this hotel would be quiet - lots of kids running through the halls when we arrived - but that changed once the sun went down. The room came with a nice balcony. Breakfast was very good. The only complaint would be about the elevator. It's clearly quite old and needs replacing. There's a note posted in it to be patient with its slow pace - and it was very slow. That wouldn't have been terrible except that at one point it stopped altogether (with me inside) and I stood in the dark fumbling for the buttons as panic set in. Luckily, I found the right one. After that, I took the stairs, even with heavy luggage. The bigger concern is for guests who are unable to use the stairs.

the suite lies at the far end and thus has very poor WLan Signal. We cannot connect to the internet and the Personals said they have no solution. => we've tried with 3 mobile phones.... Fast keine WLAN Empfang in Suite. Wir haben 3 Handys dabei und keine von den konnten mit Internet verbinden. Die personal Zeigte auch wenig Interesse uns zu helfen. ...

We stayed one night at the hotel on the way to the Alps... took a day to enjoy nearby Konigsee, as well as the town of Berchtesgaden. The hotel is in a good location to reach both. The facilities are nice and clean, the restaurant was busy but serving good quality local cuisine, we really enjoyed the time there! Special mention for the swimming pool and sauna, kids will love the time there!

We stayed one night at the Bärenstüberl and loved it. The hotel is located 5 min by car from Königssee and Berchtesgaden. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful, the breakfast offers more than enough options. The restaurant at the hotel is a good place for the dinner as well. You'll find enough parking spots next to the hotel.

One of the most pleasant hotel I had stayed. The view of the mountains, the quietfulness and nice staff. Great place to smoke a cigar, have a shnapps and a view!

Apartments are very spacious! The one in the older wing is decorated so nice! But the one in new wing is very nice also and has 2 full bathrooms.

Hotel was fine and the staff at hotel were fine. Staff at hotel recommended the attached restaurant (part of the hotel) and said it was the best around. Our first attempt at eating was when the older male server rudely refused to seat us outside because he claimed it was going to rain (it didn't). The seating area outside already had at least four other tables full of people out side. We left and drove around town for awhile and when we returned, the same server refused to seat us anywhere. He practically shouted it across the restaurant. When I asked him why, he said they were full (there were at least two clean and open tables. When I explained that we were guest at the hotel, he just shrugged his shoulders as if he didn't care. We complained to the hotel manager the next morning but we're not totally sure if she really cared either.

Amazing location surrounded by beautiful mountains and central to the salt mine, Eagles nest and Konigsee.

We stayed in this hotel for one night during September, 2015. I would best describe this as a country hotel (one of many in the area), and only a couple of minutes drive from the main roads. The room was basic, but quite agreeable and suited us just fine for our one night stay. The staff were polite and check in was easy. The local scenery is nothing short of spectacular. Based on our experience, I would recommend this hotel for those passing through on our road trip.

Clean. Staff super friendly and helpful. Could of had newer towels, and shampoo and soap on hand. Great location the food was great

Hotel was great, it had a bed and breakfast kind of feel. Breakfast was included and was very good. It was the typical German breakfast plus other kind of food that Americans might be like. WiFi however was nonexistent. All of our phones/iPads/laptops couldn't even find the signal when scanning for it, when my husband asked the girl at the front desk about it, she gave him a blank stare and told him that it should be working so not that much help there so I would assume that there won't be any WiFi when staying here. This hotel is very close to the lake but I would do your research before getting there since there will not be WiFi. My husband had an international data plan for work so we were able to use his phone to find our way around. So again, no WiFi was the only negative other than that it was great, we had our two young kids with us and they loved it as well. The room, location and staff were great :)
