good get away location

We stayed at snow lake lodge for three nights family trip and it was the best experience we ever had. Everything was flawless and clean, the condo had everything we needed, service was professional and excellent. We loved it here and will return in the future. I highly recommend this place for anyone Visiting big bear. And it’s very inexpensive and affordable. Thank you all at snow lake lodge our stay was great 👍

Spacious

This place was amazing! Beautiful inside and out. Loved how it's location was so close everything we loved under 10 mins away. Our room suite felt like had a beautiful luxurious apartemnt all to ourselves with everything we needed. We also love having a pool table in the office especially since covid restrictions still is restricting the pool and spa from being open. I will definitely be coming here again!

Its a recomembable place

They’ve not cleaned the room well. In the blanket there has a tiny animal then I finally took the blanket out of bed and throw to the basket and the woods all dusty!

Spacious bedroom with a fireplace and we like having two bathrooms and a full kitchen. Although we stayed for two nights, the lodge would only give us one prepackaged coffee; we had to pay for a second packet of coffee for the next day. They should at least provide guests with coffee packets ( free of charge ) for the amount of nights they are staying. When we requested an additional one the next day we were told we only get one as a welcome and that we could purchase one from them or bring our own. We had no knowledge of this before arriving & frankly, this is the first time I have had this experience anywhere. Overall, It is a clean facility & well maintained.

Beautiful setting. Staff was kind, courteous, and helpful. They called everyday to see if we needed anything...exchange of used towels, toiletries, trash taken out, etc. due to COVID, they had set up a system of placing a hamper outside the door for this exchange as they weren’t allowed inside the room. We were on the 3rd floor which housed the larger rooms with vaulted ceilings. We are older so next time we would request a second or first floor room. There is no elevator. But, the suite was very spacious. Kitchen contained all that was needed. Couches and beds were comfortable. We would stay at the lodge again if and when we return to Big Bear.

I did not like the parking. Not enough parking.

Love the kitchenette in the laundry facilities

The microwave door was not closing well and you had to slam it hard to get it to work. We noticed this issue a few minutes after checking in. The office was closed by then. We asked for compensation and they refused to offer us any for the inconvenience.

Everything was great except for the wifi and hot water situation. Wifi went in and out of service and it takes about 10 minutes for the water to get hot on the 3rd floor, no joke.

Place is great! Everything is there what you need it.

I had good experience the first night, unfortunately I had to leave early for an emergency, but I will go back again soon.

I received a call from Snow Lake lodge the day before my arrival, the girl was very abrupt and had a very accusatory with her comments ... I felt like a child being scolded...nevertheless I had asked for an early check in..... I was told to call back in the morning.... I called in the morning @10...I was told possibly @1 ... we made it up to Big Bear @1 and dropped in the lodge ...no room was ready ...I asked for a call if something came available...I was told check in was 4:30 ..I had requested a first floor room ...we came back at 4:30 ...No first floor rooms were ready ,we were told it would be quite a while til one would be available...by now it was 4:50 I was exhausted and just wanted to settle in ...so we took a room on the second floor ...Oh yes... I forgot to mention the horrible phone connection. At least 3 of my calls were cutting out so badly that I was hung up on ..Granted I was called back ..1 time to no avail ,I still couldn’t understand what was being said ...it was extremely frustrating..

Staff pushed the “we are strictly enforcing the social distancing guidelines”. Luckily most of the restaurants in town were not nearly as bad. It’s funny that they only let CA residents stay there. It’s like we couldn’t get COVID-19.

two day stay. room was large and very clean. used the kitchen which was well stocked and the gas fireplace which was nice. everything worked well and we had a very comfortable stay. check in was easy and parking for my truck roomy. only 2-3 minute drive to snow summit. 2 minute drive to the village or 25 minute walk, which we did. would definately stay here again.

The room was clean. Equipped with a full kitchen. Only thing i had an issue with was the bed was very firm. I would stay there again

Immediately upon checking into our room, we had issues with the guests above us. They were so loud (we saw them carry a large portable speaker up to their room), bumping bass making our wall heater rattle. We called the front desk 3 times between 6:30pm - 10:30pm. We were told we could call the police and get them involved. We weren't going to do that. We were told that the guests weren't leaving until the following Tuesday - we were leaving on Monday. We didn't want to deal with this for the next 2 nights, so I told them I wanted a refund for those 2 nights. They said they couldn't give me a refund because I booked it through a 3rd party and that "Snow Lake Lodge" is a timeshare. The ONLY contact information in my VRBO emailed receipt was "Getaways at Snow Lake Lodge." Every time I googled "Getaways at Snow Lake Lodge" I was taken to the Snow Lake Lodge website. I called the manager the next day and was told that I booked it through "Sapphire Timeshare." There is NOTHING on my receipt showing that this is a timeshare or listing Sapphire timeshare contact info. The front desk gave me their phone number. I called Sapphire Timeshare and they said that they can't do anything b/c I'm not a timeshare member. They put me in touch with VRBO who looked into my reservation and it turns out to be an Expedia booking! After almost two hours on the phone being transferred multiple times, I was given a partial refund.

Warm and comfortable rooms. It is a Gas fireplace.

Front desk personnel lacked customer service skills and was not accommodating at all! On the other Housekeeping personnel was very attentive and friendly service!

The WiFi didn’t work at all during our first night and after that it was spotty. We constantly had to reconnect. The blow dryer worked for about a minute before shutting off. When it finally came back on it would only work on a low setting. We stayed for two nights. For the second day we had to pay $1 for more coffee grounds to make a pot of coffee for the second morning. I realize that’s not much $ but it seems ridiculous to pay $200+ for a room with a kitchen and then to have to pay for coffee.
