The property & rooms are beautiful and comfortable. However, the attitude of front desk staff leaves a lot to be desired - they were flat out rude and ignored guests while on their cell phone. Cleaning staff would knock once and proceed to enter room, then just left without apologizing. This is my third time staying at this property, but will never stay again. There are other properties in Antigua with significantly better service.

I loved my stay here. It was a beautiful property, the staff were very friendly, it was clean, and quiet.

They don't respect their room service hours. They stop serving way earlier than they mention on their menu. There's no way of getting a bottle of wine or even a beer at the hotel on a Saturday night at 10:15pm. Ridiculous. We really wanted to have a stay in romantic moment in the hotel with my girlfriend but there's just nothing to do. No chips, no nuts at the hotel apparently, just nothing. The mini fridge only has Cola-Cola and bottled water. The rooms are nice and the staff is friendly but the person I talked to provided no solutions to this problem.

The property was beautiful, the room was so comfortable and clean. The cleaning and service staff were friendly and helpful. I would recommend this place to everyone and would stay again. The only downside were the front desk staff. They were incredibly rude when they checked us in. To make matters worse, they continued to be rude throughout the stay even in small interactions when walking in and out of the hotel. It was such a shame, you’d figure the front desk would be more welcoming if they’ll be the first impression for guests. However, I would stay again. Hopefully the front desk will be nicer next time.

This is an excellent choice for Antigua: A very atmospheric property with great architecture and public spaces, within walking distance of the center of town. There's also free parking very close by. The breakfast was excellent, and the staff very helpful.
One thing to note however: The hotel seems to do a lot of functions, which take up a lot of space and a lot of the staff's time and attention. In fact we got a sense that functions are the hotel's primary focus, with hotel guests an afterthought.

We had a master suite #5. #4 is not as nice.
Very happy with our unit, except for the second tv in living room not working. It should be working for the price we paid.
Overall our stay was wonderful. Lovely restaurant with delicious dishes. Very good breakfast options.

The worst check in experience I have had in a long time. It took over 90 minutes to figure out a solution when the room that was advertised was not available

We absolutely loved this property! It was beautiful and clean. Several areas to sit outside and enjoy the fresh air. The food was delicious. We had breakfast, lunch and dinner here and enjoyed it very much. The staff was always very friendly. The hotel was booked for a wedding so I was only able to get a room with a king size bed. It worked out well for my sister and I. Very spacious. We didn’t feel like we were on top of each other. The hotel is about 6 blocks from the park, church and shopping area. Not bad at all!
We were very pleased and will DEFINITELY stay here again.

Wonderful property and very charming rooms with remnants of old Spanish art and architecture. The food in their restaurants was absolutely delicious. The staff were very helpful and welcoming. About a 5 minute walk to "central park". We loved our stay here!

Very nice spa like property and was able to get an early check in however TV didn’t work because of signal which the staff knew about but didn’t tell us until we brought it up to them

Pensativo is beautiful! The interior is stunning and so are the rooms. The bed was comfortable and we enjoyed our down time at the hotel when we weren't out exploring.
