My sons and I were two days into a south of France tour. After a disappointing day in Marseille, we could not have been happier to arrive at this hotel. It was spotlessly clean, very friendly staff and beyond comfortable. Could not have been happier with our stay

Great Staffs

I stayed at the hotel for a longer stay than most. There is a lot to like about this hotel. It is across the street from the train station but the rooms are quiet. The trams are across the street making it very easy to use public transportation. The walk to the main place is easy and can be done in a few minutes. There aren’t restraints near the hotel. Small marts are across the street in the train station. Getting snacks was easy. The room was small for an American but good sized for Europe. There was a good use of space. I liked that the refrigerator was large and the safe easily accessible. I did get the morning breakfast. It was the basic buffet but good. The staff made my stay. I try and stay in smaller or boutique hotels because there is a better interaction with the staff. Benny is wonderful and very helpful. The young staff member was also very kind. They helped me arrange to travel to the beach. I am finding that Best Western is becoming my favorite chain. They are fancy or small. Clean and reliable. As for me I would recommend this hotel for a short stay definitely. As for a longer stay my only drawback is the lack of nearby restaurants. I had a weird experience with the appearance and disappearance of the English speaking movie channel. The hotel could do better with providing an English speaking non news channel.

The room was clean and superb

Very hard to get to, no access by car, area is not the nicest, but it's right next to the train station and a small plaza, but if you are driving, not convenient.

Pros: The room was very clean and nicely decorated. the beds were comfortable. Nice staff. Location is very convenient and next to the train station. Cons: Unsafe surroundings. My sister's wallet got stollen next to the hotel. The hallways need upgrades and to reach our room we had to carry our suitcases five to six steps up after we came out of elevator. The room was much too small for three adults. there were lots of electricity outlets but the table/desk in the room was really tiny.

The place was perfect for our family. 3 beds were perfect for our family of 4. The hotel is right across the street from the train station which made it so easy to travel to other cities.

Double bed small, tog 15 duvet (too hot), breakfast coffee from a machine was undrinkable, safe did not function. Room surprisingly peaceful for location next to train station and tram tracks. Staff very friendly and amusing.

Can’t say enough great things about BW Comedie Saint-Roch. Apart from it being situated in the immediate city centre, walkable, pristinely clean, and friendly staff; after realizing I had forgot several expensive articles of clothing in my room wardrobe, the staff went out of their way to secure my things and have them shipped back to me in Canada, their kindness and hospitality is something I will not forget when booking another trip to the lovely city of Montpellier! Nice hotel and great central location to the staion - across the road! Shortish walk into main area and shops and restaurants. Didnt try the breakfast.

We stayed overnight at the hotel before catching a train to Barcelona. The check in process was very quick and easy and the staff were friendly and there was an elevator. Our room was modern and clean and was a little small with an average view out over an alleyway. The room had a fridge and a hairdryer and TV and air conditioning. We walked up to a main square in the evening and found plenty of bars and restaurants and a supermarket. Being over the road from the train station made the hotel a very convenient place to stay as we had an early train to Spain. Highly recommend.

Conveniently located across the street from the train station and 3 blocks away from the main Plaza, the room very comfortable, great amenities and A/C, it was the perfect stay.

The hotel is made by it's wonderful, friendly and helpful reception staff. Nothing was too small for them to help! I didn't know that the electrics didn't come on in the room until the card 'key' was slotted into the receiver by the door - I'm not very technical! But was easily solved by a staff member who showed me how to use it. A very nice buffet breakfast, lovely seating area to relax in, though I did miss a proper bar to choose & order drinks from, rather than the lovely evening receptionist going off to prepare a drink for me? He was the star of the staff - he even watched out for me when I went along the road to withdraw some cash from the ATM at night, as I was a little wary. Nothing was too much trouble. Your staff are the best! I would most definitely stay here again. The proximity to the train stations, the trams, the restaurants and shopping areas. Just perfect! And the room was beautiful. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Next to St Roch train station

Just opposite to Montpellier Saint Roch station. Very convenient. Bed is very comfortable.

Excellent hotel Personnel accueillants

Just a one night stop over, we chose it for the location being so close to the train station. Location was fab. Service/reception was great. However, the room had a couple negatives, which i wouldn't have accepted for more than one night stay. Firstly the room had a skylight with no blind/curtain, so at made it difficult to sleep after sunrise. VERY frustrating. Next, the room had sloped ceilings, and the shower ceiling was low. Being a tall guy, let's just say, i hit my head a few times! Maybe it was just our luck with the room we were given, but i wouldn't stay again, which is a shame as the location and staff were very good.

Rude staff. I desperately needed a few more hours in the room before traveling to Barcelona and originally he said I could stay 4 more hours for 50 euros but then said they were "fully booked" which wasn't true because I could go online and get five different rooms. He was super rude and I basically tossed the room key at him as I left. Room was small, faced an interior corridor, and there was a stain on the carpet. Not worth the $100 I paid for one night.

Central location. Great first the station and trams. Easy walk to great places to eat and close to attractions.

If you are looking for a hotel close to railway station st roch, look no further. Beautiful hotel, comfortable bed, close to place de la comedies and steps away from rail station.

It’s a decent hotel to stay a few days , close to Comedie Square ,,and lots of options around to eat , no parking , but you have a huge parking close on the square that works perfectly fine.

Tiny room, path way were smelly, looks good from the outside, convenient location, walkable to train/ attractions. Staff were very helpful though.

As we were staying just overnight for a train connection, this hotel was ideal as it is right across the street from the station. We were on the street side and so we did hear the trains and feel the rumbling. But my husband wore earplugs and we both slept soundly. Everything was just fine. Would not hesitate to stay here again.
